Begrgar steps up (the tail is not difficult. The body areas would be.) and although stepping around the other stuffed creatures, lands a solid blow that hit with the resounding crack of bones crunching.

Detect magic to see if there is any lingering auras on the owlbear. At the least attempting to figure out if it was an animated skeleton or an animated object.

Although not of note to your mission at hand. Bergar does notice a skeleton of an ancient dwarven warrior of Tar Taargadth dressed in worthless rotting armor and bearing a rusted shield covered in decaying metal spikes. Historically fascination, but the equipment is too rusted to be of any practical use.

The doors open onto a vast hall draped in shadowy cobwebs and filled with haphazardly placed statues. The air is heavy with dust. Any noise echoes hollowly among the figures, some swathed in thick coverings like misshapen beasts, others bare and uncovered, all coated in a thick layer of dust. Leering visages loom out of the darkness, fearsome wooden and stone faces carved in grimaces and scowls.

This room has a 20-foot-high ceiling and holds a dazzling collection of sculptures, effigies, and statues of different sizes, some draped in sheets, others coated with a thick layer of dust. Unlit oil lamps hang from brackets in the center of each wall. A wooden sign on a door in the southern (left of map) wall reads “Scriptorium—Quiet Please.”

Vogue recognizes the statue as a type of Caryatid Columns, though not as big. Aside from being constructs, (and immune to mind effects) these creatures can break weapons that strike them. Though natural attacks will not be affected. They also have some DR and are immune to magic (any spell that has SR will auto fail)

Tem's hammer swings and misses the column.

However, Aisha's whip does cause the statue to tumble and go prone since this was not an attack that caused damage, no damage to your whip

Even from is less advantageous state, it still manages to connect with the phantom, and Tem takes some damage.

Everyone is up. Vogue, you still have your actions from last round, knowing what you did figure out, I did not want to bot you standard attack and risk breaking your primary weapon.

Poe jumps when the statue's sword cuts through Tem's ectoplasm like a kingfisher through water. "yes sir! your tower shield sir! Poe replies to some mental command as he moves behind Tem and casts a spell.

Cast Shield using share spells.

One moment Tem is swinging an ectoplasmic lucerne hammer, the next he is wielding a massive tower shield and a mace. around the tower shield your can see glimpses of a shield of force.

Aisha realizes that the sword is part of the statue and decides to aid Tem's AC.

No. 201113 scans the room quickly, but only the statue, and the general background magic of the museum are detected.

Bergar's pick hits, but then does little to damage the stone statue.

This is mostly going to be a long battle of attrition. The statue won't stand up so will continue to fight from prone. Everyone take three rounds of actions at once to speed this up.

Bergar realizes that it is the wooden haft that seems to be cracking first on his pick.

Hardness on full metal weapons, such as swords is 10, compared to hafted weapons which only have hardness 5. The shatter weapons ability is only 2d6. And natural weapons are not affected.

Yes, but I didn't want Two to be alone in case he ran into trouble...but thankfully this ended quickly. I hope this edge damage buffs out...he says as he runs his finger along the blade.
