Background:

Raised in the ancient empire of Orision, Aisha descends from a family of embalmers and undertakers that have worshipped the Goddess Selket, Mistress of the Beautiful House, for generations. As a young girl, Aisha dreamt of traveling the world, visiting legendary sites and learning about different cultures and traditions. However her orthodox and strict family prohibited all attempts to venture beyond the capital of Sothis, and arranged for her to follow the family profession. She studied embalming and funerary rituals under the watchful eyes of the Temple of Selket priests, but lacked the motivation and determination to excel in these arts. Instead she spent hours training with the temple guards in the use of weapons and the scorpion whip.

A few years ago she met a dashing young woman, Mariny Vendramini from Absalom, who shared stories of the fabled Pathfinder Society, the wonders of Absalom and dangerous adventures she had survived across the continent. Swept up by these incredible tales which ignited her long repressed childhood dreams, Aisha abandoned her home at the break of dawn on a ship heading for Absalom. She made her way to the Grand Lodge and has trained to be a Pathfinder Society agent since. Now finally completing the arduous trials, she longs to visit the world.

Appearance & Personality:

If clergy were meant to be the embodiment of their deity, then this woman is a living effigy of the Mistress of the Beautiful House, Selket, the Goddess of embalming, healing and scorpions. Her dark leather vestments aflame with scarlet embroidery of small crawling scorpions matches perfectly the wicked-looking whip that coils around her hips. A holy symbol of a large red scorpion hangs loosely on her flat chest.

Her deep bronze features are elegantly made up, kohl framing an already relentless brown-eyed stare over high cheekbones; her voice is a tightly controlled whisper.
