The apparition does not react to Hrarsk's greeting. Though it seems to be reacting, or unconsciously controlled by Deris.

Ridley gets the sense that this is some type of benign haunt. Definitely the manifestation of "undead" but nothing specific. It seems to be partially manifested by Deris's current metal state.

Deris goes up and starts having a conversation with the teacher. The "teacher" reacts although it is jilted as if being controlled like a puppet.

Deris continues to "chat" with the teacher and after a few moments, opens one of the drawers on the ruined desk and pulls out a worn key. And returns to the party. "Mrs. Heracks asked me to show you to the shed so you can deal the leak. I don't know why they sent so many plumbers"

Deris heads out the door and continues without seeing if you are behind him

Deris leads you do a broken building in a pool of stagnant water.

You find yourselves at a wide, black pool with an occasional bubble percolating up in the center. The gently bubbling water is about waist deep, and you can just make out the remains of a severed human arm fully-submerged jutting up from the blacken silt near the center of the pond. Looking closely you can see the hand of the arm tightly grasping a metal handle. However there is also a large bulbous white egg also affixed to the handle and arm.

The water is about 3 feet at the deepest. difficult terrain And the it looks like the arm itself it attached to a hatch that would lead below.

Although suspecting something down in the lake, it wasn't the egg itslef.

From the silt, a full grow water bug appears and strikes at Davneiros.

"If it's only a bug, it can't be too harmful," Hrarsk says hopefully, and limps as close as he can to the creature.

I originally intended to shoot a javelin, but I changed it to a full move action to get adjacent to the creature. If I can't change it, this is my roll for reference:

For some reason I was thinking Davneiros went up to it. You can place your outside the water if you want.

Davneiros's original shot pierces the egg, which cause the beetle to rise from its nest

As you rush in to deal with the large beetle. Davneiros takes a shot that lands soundly though the chitinous body.

With a small struggle, Davneiros opens the hatch in one try.

However, like pulling the plug from a bathtub, the rushing water knock those in the pool off balance Reflex Save DC 15 to remain standing

After the water clears, it opens to a series of tunnels down below.

The necropolis is a network of 6-foot-wide, arched tunnels connects double vaulted ossuary chambers. The once ornate chambers are now a patchwork of brown stone walls, faded paint, and crumbling plaster. Water seeps through the walls and collects in floor cracks and ankle-deep puddles. The entire necropolis is unlit. All of the doors are made of heavy stone and are unlocked and ajar.

Place yourselves at the entrance to the first chamber

Carved pillars in the corners of this chamber hold aloft a double-vaulted ceiling of cracked frescos. On either side of the chamber, a single step leads up into a deeply recessed area that forms an arched room of its own.

On the floor of the east recess, the perfectly preserved body of a young boy lies in a puddle and stares silently upward.

Making her way down, weapon drawn and at the ready, Donna is there to protect the group, and leads from the front. How she can do that while there are dead bodies and the stories of ghosts and undead, she doesn't know...

Jajee makes his way into the necropolis, his human eyes straining to see, eventually adjusting to the darkness. He pulls out his Sunrod from his backpack and activates the rod, a cone of light billowing forth from the tip, illuminating the necropolis. standard action to activate rod.

"That's better, now at least I can see where Im at.." Jajee remarks, nearly bumping into the back of Donna before the sunrod lights up the room
