Pip seems to shrink further and further under Rravn's fury. The turnaround comes when Brokahn manages to douse the fire. "Look, I said I was sorry, ok?!" she says angry. Pulling another arrow from the quiver, she channels the anger into her next shot at the floating sorcerer.

I was at 30/31 hit points, before speeding up. After the sorcerer goes down, I'm at 9/31 hit points, if I counted correctly.

Frustrated beyond belief, Pip stows her bow and picks up her wand from the couch where she threw it down. She then retrieves her healing wand and starts patching herself up. "You lot get started on finding those notes. Anyone else in need of healing?"

Ten minutes and about a thousand flights of stairs, you make it to the Tapestry Room.

The table at the center of this rectangular room is completely contained within a rune-inscribed circle set into the floor. Atop the table lies a Kelishite man’s body, spread-eagled and bloodstained. At the far end of the chamber hangs a ragged tapestry torn down its center. A peaceful wood with trampled undergrowth is visible through the tear, though the tapestry
clearly hangs against a solid wall. The room is unlit with 20' ceilings. A Yeti stands on one side of the table, observing, while a pair of syrinx stand on the other. When you enter the room, they all draw weapons and move to attack

Cover is never a penalty to hit. Cover always adds to the armor class of the target. May seem like the same thing, but can be different. However, if you do not have precise shot, that is a -4 to hit when the target is in melee (which the yeti is)

Lady BroKhan bellows in rage, and jumps first on the table, and then propels herself up to bash in the brains of the owl priest. (spell is not needed to confirm) Gore sprays everywhere, even getting as far as the shorn tapestry, as the body of the syrinx fslls to the table behind her.

At this point, she gets a good look at the body laying on the table. It is the Pathfinder Society's Master of Spells, Aram Zey! He appears to be quite dead. It is at that time that Gunari pokes his head into the Tapestry Room. "Oh, there you are. Looks like you have things well in hand. Wait... ISN'T THAT ARAM ZEY!!! HE'S DEAD!!! The warpriest goes pale, and turns, saying, "I have to go tell Marcus Farabellus this! Woe is us!!!"

Dekion retrieves his alchemist's fire, and throws it. He hits the Yeti, who roars in rage, and looks directly at the fighter!

Pip:

Mysterious and rarely seen (save by victims), the yeti is a towering denizen of the loneliest and tallest mountain peaks. Those who dwell upon the lower reaches of such storied slopes whisper tales of “abominable snowmen” who come down from the heights to raid, taking livestock or even humans as prey and leaving behind only monstrous barefoot tracks in the bloodstained snow.

Although yeti stories are accurate in their portrayals of fierce, stealthy, and immensely strong creatures, they are not when it comes to ascribing the yeti’s temperament and source. They dwell in small tribes atop their distant mountains, where they are sheltered from contact with
most other races. Those with violent or cruel natures are usually forced out of tribes to live lonely lives as exiles, and without the support of a tribe such yeti are often driven to raiding lowlander settlements, thus perpetuating the myth of the yeti as a demon made flesh.

The source of such cruel madness can often be traced to a singular source—proximity to strange, eldritch dimensions. The yetis’ mountain lairs rise high in places where the boundaries between this world and others rasp thin. It is unclear if the yeti are invaders from these
dimensions or Material Plane natives influenced by otherworldly realms, but it seems certain that whatever their origins, the yeti are no friends to those who dwell beyond, and may even act as guardians against intrusions from such strange worlds into the Material Plane.

They are monstrous humanoids, and their bodies exude cold, and have a frightful gaze.

Pip casts her spell on Rravn. The tengu doesn't move, but Pip hopes that will help her overcome the effect soon. (the paralysis is not suppressed, as it is a mind-effecting fear paralysis effect)

Drusilla's words take her back to their own fight, and she remembers what she was about to say. "Watch out! The yeti oozes cold, if you get too close to it."

Being so close, Drusilla feels the cold emanating from the Yeti. Luckily, her celestial blood protects her from the worst of it. But this gives Drusilla an idea. Creature so cold might find some discomfort in fire, so and her teachings in the monastery did include conjuring fire out of thin air. Unfortunately, such behaviour is very un-ladylike, but perhaps in situation proper behaviour can be put on hold. The pathfinders finish of the Yeti, leaving them to investigate what has happened to the Master of Spells! He is definitely dead, and it seems, perhaps, worse. When you get near to the body, there is a definite chilly aura lingering, as if some foul magic were used on him (Pip determines that there is a residue of necromancy).

Now what do you do? You have Aram Zey's notes on the Tapestry, which appear to be torn.

Grand Lodge

Female Half-Orc Bard (Acheologist) 11

"I don't like this one bit," says Pip while retrieving her healing wand and one of the potions they found earlier. Between patching herself up, she tries to form a plan.

"There's been necromantic magic used here. I'm very afraid for the fate of the Master of Swords." Pip looks sad, but mostly worried. "Let's see what we can learn from these notes, if we can still fix the damage to the Tapestry. If not, I think we'll have to leave this for later and head over to check on the Sky Key. The Aspis must be there already."

Potion of CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 3 = 7

Wand of CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Wand of CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Pip grumbles at the amount of time it took to heal her wounds. "Maybe I shouldn't try to talk and do magic at the same time." Still multitasking though, Pip starts looking through the notes as fast as she can while stowing her wand, hoping to learn something useful. "Could any of you please check up on Zey? He might have some other clues, maybe hidden on his body?"

"Well, I never liked the man. But he is one of us. Can anyone study the magical auras on him in more detail?"
Since Aram Zey seems to be dead, there's no point on tending to him. His notes might be more important, so Drusilla starts to read the notes in hopes there would be some information on the situation.

The tapestry is torn, as if something incredibly powerful had ripped through it. The notes you have suggest a ritual that you could perform to fix it. You believe it is not dissimilar to a mending spell, but much more powerful. Magics are stored in the book that could be released power the ritual.

Grand Lodge

Female Half-Orc Bard (Acheologist) 11

"So, what do we do? Perform the ritual? I'm not sure what it would accomplish, to fix the Tapestry now. It seems like we have more pressing matters, with the Sky Key at risk."

Pip gets up as if to go, but then turns back towards the Tapestry. "On the other hand, maybe the tear will get larger or something. Who knows what happens if we leave it in this condition?"

My confusion is in-character as much as ooc. With the information we have, I'd say we leave and go for the key. But that doesn't really sit right with me...

No roll needed, actually.

Zey's notes were quite complete, allowing the team to perform the needed ritual to repair the torn Hao Jin Tapestry.
Success

The Master of Spells is another question. As the team finishes up the ritual, Gunari returns with a specialized recovery team. However, their leader, a Magnus Landor, Paladin of Abadar, is about ready to infuse the corpse with his healing magics, but declares that "Aram Zey is not in there. His soul is gone... there is nothing for me to make contact with!"

Gunari tells the team, "We will take care of the Master of Spells. You need to hurry to the Sky Key room. Evidently, the Aram Zey was supposed to be there. Hopefully they have not stolen the key!"

10 minutes to perform the ritual, 10 minutes to the next encounter. Another charge for Drusilla.

This tall library is ringed by a walkway around its perimeter, which provides access to a second level of towering bookshelves. A broad Qadiran rug leads to a short pedestal within a tall glass case that itself sits within an inscribed circle—all cordoned off by a velvet rope suspended by brass poles. Several plush chairs and a few low tables bearing curios line the lower floor, and two decorative suits of armor stand at attention, each with a crossbow resting against its shoulder. Heatless torches blaze with remarkably even light in sconces throughout the room, and a tall pendulum clock against the eastern wall ticks each passing second as its hands move erratically.

You enter the room, and then A ghostly image of a Pathfinder appears in the center of the room, where his likeness eerily begins to slide through the display case. His voice echoes as he speaks to an unseen party. “Oh no, they’ve stolen the Sky Key. It also appears they disrupted the auxiliary stabilizer, too.” He pauses before continuing. “Do you feel that? I feel kind of sick all of a sudden. I hope they didn’t try to disassemble it—or worse, bring it too close to the tapestry. Wasn’t that why Zey kept them so far—" The figure’s words go unfinished as he begins to scream and dissolve, fading from view in a matter of seconds.
