As the man falls, M'boka places a hand on Thrugg's shoulder. "My friend, it seemed that the light of the lantern was upon you! Do you feel alright? I have never encountered magic such as this before, but perhaps some of our more experienced comrades in the Society could free you of whatever affliction the Lantern placed upon you."

After the conversation with Thrugg is over, M'boka will use his wand to heal himself, then will borrow Silver Warden's wand to heal him.

Beingirr recovers himself tied and starts yelling at you. You want me prisioner? WHy? Do you expect a ransom? The ulfen is confused after seen how some robbers where harder than they think and now he's been made prisioner.

He looks Beingirr in the eyes and produces a knife from his belt. He makes sure Beingirr sees the knife before continuing. "Tell me, old man. How pleased will your god be if you can't worship him due to lack of fingers on your hands?" As he says that, he turns the captive around and slightly pushes the dagger against the base of the fingers on the man's right hand. Just so that he can feel the cold steel on his skin. With the blunt edge of the blade, mind you. Not that Beingirr needs to know that.

"When he sees you squirm like a little girl as we remove all of these little ones, knuckle-bone by knuclke-bone. I doubt you'll ever be able to hold a blade in your hand and go to battle in his name."

While Anibal and Thrugg question Bengeirr, M'boka takes a moment to examine the lantern more closely, searching it for any signs of religious significance or any other distinctive markings.

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

I can tell your friend what he wants to hear, but I doubt it will save my fingers as you'll feel cheated as soon as you discovered is not true. He pauses for a moment, defiant, to see how you react.

But you had fought well so you deserve something for your victory, so I'll answers his questions as well as I can. He then turns to Thrugg. That beacon, dwarf, seems to have powers similar to the Beacon of the North. A child tale about witches I heard countless times when I was young.

It is said it has the power to slowly freeze a man, no matter who much he tries to keep warm. And this must be truth, as Skelg is a proof of it.

It's also said it can open portals to different planes and places. And it must be truth as a rainbow portal opened in fron of our eyes back in Skelg manor.

It is also said to give the powers to talk with the winter spirits, walk in the air if it's snowing, call yetis to fight for you and consume the soul of its user. Or the soul of the ones killed by them, sometimes old stories change. If its true or not I don't know.

Merisiel is upset after searching the room as she can´t find any bag of gold. It looks all the money was spent in those carpets, urns, and works of art, I'm sorry, but even the ulfens doesn´t wear a single gold coin.

M'boka doesn't find any religious significance of a latern, but it seems to have some arcane marks too difficult for any of you to understand.

Knowing than the latern can open portals, and being told Skelg thinks the cure must be on the other side there's only one option if you want to save both Selkg an Thrugg.

Going back to Skelg manor, you shine the Beacon of the North on the tapestry depicting a ship and a portal opens in front of it. It looks like a whirlwind with the changing colors of a rainbow.

As you step through the portal, you find yourself in a strange ice-cave. Sunlight filters through the walls and ceiling, and three braziers give some warmth to this otherwise chilly space. Warmth Thrugg is unable to feel. Directly ahead of you, a tunnel leads through the ice, sloping steeply downward. Behind you, a shimmering portal hangs on what appears to be a main mast embedded in the ice. Following the mast downward, you can barely make out the blurry outline of a ship’s deck below.

Now you have to decide if you go on and faces the risks of cold weather as you're clothed, DC 15 Fort save, or if you go back to prepare yourselves. But you don`t know how many time Skelg will resist and Thrugg is also cursed so there could be consecuences if you spend too much time

Anibal buttons his coat and positions himself to the back of the group.

Yes, profesion is trained only
There's not a need until you go down, but I forgot to modify it. Now you have a map of the encased ship.

As Thrugg goes down notices the smell of death and rot fills this lower deck, even with the cold. It is darker down here without the sunlight filtering through the ice, and no braziers burn. Shadowy movements are visible in the darkness, accompanied by an eerie creaking noise as though someone were still working the oars. A figure moves toward you along the aisle between the rowing benches. It appears to be a withered human wearing an Ulfen burial mask.

There's no light down there. If anyone is wearing a ioun torch or some kind of light let me know.

Thrugg's Darkvision aloows him to see the shadowy movements are indeed putrid rowers who turn instantly toward him with violent intentions.

With the group moving down into the cold and darkness, despite his protests against it, M'boka decides he better get himself in proper shape. He draws his healing wand and uses its magic to help ease the remaining aches and pains of the previous fight.

Wand of CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
M'boka is back to full health.

The wand's energy refreshes the young man and restores his courage to brave the cold and dark of the icy cavern. He casts a glowing node of light on the boss of his shield, draws his weapon, and boldly takes up a position near the head of the group as they march down into the darkness.

Since we were heading down into a dark tunnel, I figure M'boka probably would have provided some illumination and cast Light. That would obviously affect the way events unfolded by your description, so let me know if that's too meta-gamey to be okay.

As the group of Pathfinders enter the shadowy galley of the ship, M'boka hears the creaks and groans of the ghastly oarsmen and raises his weapon in a challenge to the creatures. the description assumes some kind of light but no darkvision, hence why there are “shadowy movements” that thrugg is fully aware are caused by the rowers. No problem in casting light.

M'boka moves down and smash his terbutje in the nearest rower’s head, making it collapse to the round.
Merisiel tries to go down unnoticed and waits for a better time to strike.
Thrugg moves where he can draw the attention of the enemies and prepares to face their attacks.

M'boka laughs at Merisiel's jibe and returns the favor, "Ha! True enough. Let's see which of us has spent more time unconscious on the floor by day's end, though."

Merisiel smirks, having intended the barb for the rower. She does not, however, correct M'boka.

Anibal smirks.

"A little friendly competition can't hurt."

He draws two more bows saying that and lets them loose at the remaining rowers. Yellow

Bow Flurry: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 121d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Bow Flurry: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

All good things come to an end.

Silver steps into a flank and lashes out at the rower with another bright flash of green acid.

mystic bolt, flanking: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 2 = 20 for acid: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Boting Thrugg with the same actions as the turn before

Thrugg attacks defensively the green rower: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (2) - 3 = -11d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Merisiel forgotten sneak damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

M'boka and Merisiel interchange puns as they attack the rowers, but M'boka winning the puns contest and Merisiel destroying her enemy

Anibal and thrugg fail their attacks, but at least Silver Warden is able to wound one of the remaining rowers.

The rowers continue attacking stubbornly despite their inability to hit anything.

Green rower vs Thrugg: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 111d6 ⇒ 3
Blue rower vs silver Warden: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d6 ⇒ 2

Hold on a minute. Are these undead? I know I should have taken Kn. Religion. Next level up, I guess.

Nobody has tried to identify them, but I can tell it to you if anyone can pass a DC 10. And remember you can make a check untrained up to that dificulty

Once illuminated, Anibal takes a look at the creatures they're up against.Kn. Religion: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19

Ok well, that's a crit wasted.

Anibal realizes both the rowers and the former withered human are undead. What was the human is beyond his knowledge and now it really doesn´t matter. The rowers, for her part are zombies, but they look diferent from the zombies they had learn about as they doesn´t resist his arrows as well as expected and their touch can freeze.

Is just a confirmation of what you know; no DR/slashing and a touch attack theat make cold damage.

Merisiel takes another jab at a nearby zombie. Moving closer to one of them, if necessary.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
1d6 ⇒ 6

M'boka attempts to take another swing at the rower in front of him. He has to get through this one in order to move on and help Thrugg and Merisiel with the other two, and they were running out of time to help free Skeig and Thrugg from the curse of the lantern. Newly determined to strike their enemies down, M'boka puts all his might behind his next attack.

Terbutje, but better this time: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
