The Primordial Dragons |
Round 1
Group 1
Lethe steps over to the bugbear that came down the chimmny snarling and takes a swing with her axe. The bugbear easily sidesteps the clumsy swing.
Viyko: Sizing up the situation, Viyko moves to the stairs, drawing his bow en route. He then casts command on the soot-covered bugbear (DC 17 Will save; fall prone).
"Lie down!"
B3 save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Group 2
(B3) The bugbear who sprang from the chimney, now on his back, plunges his sword towards the stomach of Estelle, hoping to slip his blade in before she has a chance to realize what hit her.
Shortsword against FF Estelle: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 6 - 4 = 15; 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 6) + 3 = 10 (Sneak Attack).
(B1) The ladybugbear slides without grace behind the counter saying to her companion: ”Fred, cover me!” then produces a vial from her belt which she quickly drinks. A protective disk of force suddenly shimmers in front of her. ”You look taaaasty...”
(B2) The bugbear known as Fred moves to the end of the counter and engages Ayla.
Heavy flail against FF Ayla: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14; 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7. The halfling slips under the swing despite being caught by surprise.
Group 3 then Group 1 again.

Estelle LaGrange |

Estelle, maybe I'm missing something, but Lullaby has limited effects, and you'll have to concentrate to keep it, unless you plan to follow up with another spell.
Oops your right. I got it confused with a spell from another game system. I thought it was the sleep for one round spell...Estelle will just take another move action to get far enough away to take a potion next round.
BTW...I hate the FF until you act rule, and never use it in any of my games either played or DM'ing seems to add complication, and doesn't seem reasonable. After the first round it doesn't have any effect anyway, so it just seems a bit ridiculous. If there was a surprise round involved as well, a character rolling low initiative could stand around for 12 seconds without reacting. The BB descended down a chimney, created a cloud of soot, attacked, along with some other things, and Estelle just stood there like a statue until she was stabbed. Even more crazy if the initiative worked out wrong someone could charge from across the room and stab her again, while she again stood there stock still. If I get stabbed I go down then...I don't wait 6-seconds till it's my turn. Sorry...just my Monday b$!~&ing session!

Viyko Kharde |

Ivan slithers out of Viyko's pant leg and moves (I8, H9, H10, I12, J11) to J11. Ivan uses the aid another action to help Viyko. 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 1 = 16
Viyko then advances to J9, drawing his dagger as he walks.
"Filthy curs! Who sent you?" Viyko stabs the prone bugbear with his dagger.
Dagger: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 10 Total: 12 (from aid another)

Viyko Kharde |

Also, what, exactly, interior-feature-wise, can Viyko see behind, on, and around the bar that the bugbear is behind?

The Primordial Dragons |
Round 1
Group 3
Vrykkas snarls at the sudden appearance of foes. "Behold the glory of the Blood!” Casting Cause Fear on one of the bugbears.
Save 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18 DC 14
The bugbear's eyes widen, but only for a moment, as he seems to shake off the effect of the spell.
Vrykkas then draws his shortbow and makes ready to provide aerial support.
Estelle attempts to tumble away from her assaulter, somersaulting backwards as blood geysers from her wound like slinging red paint from a brush. Since that’s all you’re doing, I’ll treat it as a retreat instead, meaning no AoO, but no other action.
Ayla dawns her scimitar and trys to stab at the bugbear facing her. I had to change it since you have a male bugbear with a flail in front of you... She slips on some grease on the floor and misses her stab completely!
Rabbit will ready her shield and cast Bless on her new friends. +1 to hit and saves vs fear.
Round 2
Group 1
Lethe takes another swing at the Bugbear hoping to take advantage of his downed state, but her aim is off by just a little and she misses again. Counted the prone.
Ivan slithers out of Viyko's pant leg and moves to help Viyko’s attack.
Viyko then advances on the bugbear, drawing his dagger as he walks.
"Filthy curs! Who sent you?" Viyko stabs the prone bugbear with his dagger, but the bugbear sidesteps him easily.
Group 2
(B3) The bugbear dancing with Yvan, Lethe and Viyko concentrates his attacks on the axe-wielding adventurer. Staying prone, he slashes at Lethe’s leg: Shortsword: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 6 - 4 = 12; 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6. The blade misses the barbarian.
(B1) The ladybugbear behind the bar shakes a “cocktail”, swings it from one hand to the other, then swings it to Vrykkas: ”A double for you sir. You look like you need it!”
Bomb, Range touch attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12; 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3. Direction: 1d8 ⇒ 7
The projectile misses the oracle falling to his right. Splash damage still: -3 hp, reflex save for half.
(B2) Fred continues to flail at Ayla.
Heavy flail against FF Ayla: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25; 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10.
He grins as the blow lands true (-10 hp to Ayla). ”You were right. This IS fun!”
Group 3 then Group 1 again. (+1 to hit for all, +4 vs prone against B3)

Viyko Kharde |

Ivan clicks his mandibles and rears up menacingly.
Aid Another to Lethe: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 2 + 1 + 4 = 19
Viyko spits in frustration at his missed attack. "Lucky bastard..."
Viyko takes a 5-foot step to I9 (in the hopes of setting Lethe up for a flank with Ivan).
I have no idea if Lethe's crit kills the sooty bugbear, so I'm acting as if it did not. If Lethe does kill the bugbear, Viyko remains in the square he is in (but still casts slumber), and Ivan scampers into his pant leg instead.
He glares at the bugbear with the flail and quips, "Looks like someone needs a nap."
Slumber vs Bugbear 2: DC 14 Will save or fall asleep for 1 round.

The Primordial Dragons |
Round 2
Group 3
Seeing her new friend viciously struck, Rabbit will slip past Estelle and in a hushed tone tells Ayla ”Don't be alarmed, Olladra's grace will ease that wound. Let the power in...” She'll cast Cure Light Wounds on Ayla for 10 hp.
Vrykkas snarls at the bugbear. "Scum! Keep your vile concoctions to yourself!"
Vrykkas will fire an arrow at the same bugbear who hurled the chemicals at him. The arrow is stopped by the shimmering shield in front of the bugbear. Also has cover from the bar...
Estelle pulls out her new potion, and takes it.
"Ahhh Much better". "Now which one of you did that"?
Ayla again whiffs on her attack, and tries to step out of the sippery substance. She can’t find a hole in the bugbear’s defense and her attack is blocked again.
Round 3
Group 1
Lethe swings at the down bugbear again. Her blade cleanly falls and sever the bugbear’s spine.
"Whats going on what’s all the noise?" The familiar voice of Tika echoes from the top of the stairs. Viyko answers: "Kid, stay upstairs if you value your life!"
Viyko spits in frustration at his missed attack. "Lucky bastard..." Once Lethe takes care of it, he glares at the bugbear with the flail and quips, "Looks like someone needs a nap."
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
The bugbear’s knees buckle, bu he shakes it off quickly. His gaze narrows and he reveals his nasty teeth: ”Hey! Not fair!”
Group 2
(B1) From her covered position behind the bar the barbear throws another bomb at Vrykkas: ”This time I won’t miss!”
Bomb, Range touch attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26; 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7. Direction: 1d8 ⇒ 3
The bomb lands squarely on the oracle, bursting in flames and splashing Ayla. (-7 to Vrykkas and -3 to Ayla. Reflex save DC 13 for half)
(B2) Fred moves to his left then pushes his advantage against Ayla.
Heavy flail against FF Ayla: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23; 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8.
Again, the blow connects and sends the halfling backward!
Group 3 then Group 1 again.

Viyko Kharde |

Viyko sheathes his dagger and pulls out a fluffy lock of wool. As he blows the wool from the palm of his hand his eyes lazily droop as he incants, "изумить." His eyes are then ablaze again with fury as he stares down the bugbear with the flail.
Viyko sheathes his dagger (move action), takes a 5-foot step to I9, and casts daze (DC 16 Will save or take no actions for 1 round) on Bugbear 2.
If the bugbear is killed or incapacitated, or out of range (25 ft) for some reason, Viyko will instead drop his dagger in J8, shoot an arrow at the bugbear grenadier behind the bar, and then move to J6 on the stariwell landing. 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 21 Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 2 = 9

Ayla |

Ref 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Ayla attacks and makes another 5 ft step away from the creature.
Melee: Scimitar 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13 |Damage1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 |Crit:18/x21d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Bit of Luck: Scimitar 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 |Damage1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 |Crit:18/x21d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
[ooc]Wow... [ooc

The Primordial Dragons |
Round 3
Group 3
Rabbit rests a hand on Ayla as though helping her balance. In truth, she wills Olladra's grace to be passed to her friend. Bit of Luck.
Estelle jumps on the table beside her, and draws her shortbow. She also begins a song to inspire her friends in their combat. Inspiration +1 to Hit and Damage
Vrykkas shoots another arrow at the alchemist. Again, the arcane protections block the projectile.
Ayla attacks, this time feeling the blessings of Olladra and the support of Estelle. Her helped blade slashes in the bugbear’s shoulder, eliciting a low growl. She then steps away from the creature.
Round 4
Group 1
Lethe heads over to the spot Ayla once ocupied and takes a swing at the bugbear. The bugbear moves sideways to avoid the blow.
Viyko sheathes his dagger and pulls out a fluffy lock of wool. As he blows the wool from the palm of his hand his eyes lazily droop as he incants, "изумить." His eyes are then ablaze again with fury as he stares down the bugbear with the flail.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
The bugbear, once more, seems impervious to the magic. He cracks his neck: ”Little help?!”
Group 2
(B1) The bugbear behind the bar looks displeased: ”No more drinks...” She throws a javelin at Lethe, then moves from behind the bar, bloody cleaver in hand.
Javelin: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9; 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7. The javelin lands loudly in the table, but never theatens the barbarian.
(B2) Fred moves again to his left then swings with all his weight at Lethe.
Heavy flail Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21; 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11.
The flail crashes loudly against Lethe’s side, drawing blood and cracking ribs. -11 hp to Lethe. The bugbear looks at Lethe: ”You like playing rough?”
Group 3 then Group 1 again.

Viyko Kharde |

I'm waiting for Ayla and Estelle before I post Viyko's actions for round 5.
I'm a bit confused, though:
Lethe, why did you make 2 attack rolls? Your attack is missing a +1 and your damage looks like you're raging, is that right?
Vrykkas: why didn't you attack after your move? You can draw a weapon as free action as part of a move if your BAB is +1 or higher.
Sorry for the observations, I just want to make sure we survive. :)

Lethe |

Ah yeah sorry got a bit carried away just seemed like the sort of thing Lethe would respond to. (If you actually mean the 2 dice rolls one is attack the other damage)

Viyko Kharde |

(If you actually mean the 2 dice rolls one is attack the other damage)
lol, sorry. I failed my Perception in real life, and read the d12 as a d20. :P
Hmmm, must have thought I already maxed my actions...
Attack: 1d20+1
Damage: 1d6
Don't forget your +1 from Estelle and +2 from flanking (1d20+4, total)...

Estelle LaGrange |

If the enemy within striking range of her on top of the table went down, Estelle will sigh in frustration, as her other target closes to melee, then is partially concealed by her battling allies. And try to carefully place an arrow around her friends.
1d20 - 3 ⇒ (18) - 3 = 15 Arrow, In melee, soft cover, Higher Ground, Bardic music.
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 Arrow Damage
If that enemy is still up, she will step down off the table, and try to push it into the enemy and knock them off balance.
1d20 ⇒ 18 CMB or STR ?

Viyko Kharde |

Round 5
Ivan skitters out again and heads to E11. Rearing up and clicking his mandibles at the the cleaver-wielding bugbear from the cover of the table, Ivan uses the aid another action to distract the bugbear from Ayla.
Aid another to add +2 to Ayla's AC vs B1's next attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 1 + 1 = 16
Viyko steps up and pulls out another lock of wool. As he blows the wool from the palm of his hand he incants, "изумить."
Viyko takes a 5-foot step to H10, and casts daze (DC 16 Will save or take no actions for 1 round) on Bugbear 2 again. Viyko's stubborn like that. If Bugbear 2 is dead, he instead casts daze on Bugbear 1.

The Primordial Dragons |
Round 4
Group 3
Vrykkas drops his bow and seizes his staff, readying it for an attack. Using care to stay out of the bugbear's reach, he moves to flank with Lethe. He strikes with his staff, but his blow is short.
Rabbit will cast defensively, dropping Deathwatch for Cure Light Wounds on Lethe. (+5 hp to Lethe)
Ayla swipes at the cleaver bugbear. Her aim is true, she feels the blade finding her mark, only to deflected away by the shimmering force disk dancing in front of the bugbear! Her defenses look impenetrable...
Estelle moves behind the table and opposite to Fred (B2). She pushes the table in the bugbear’s legs. She can’t push hard, but her aim is just right and the bugbear didn’t expect it. The table lands in his legs, hindering his movement. (Good idea! Treated as a dirty trick, no penalty for improvised weapon because of surprise and no AoO, another try would be at -4 for improvised but would not have AoO. -2 attack, -2 AC for one round.)
Round 5
Group 1
Lethe spits out a mouthfull of blood: "Always." She responds whilst taking a swing at the Bugbear. Her axe bites deep in the man’s hip, almost locking itself there. Blood spurts out as the bugbear crashes down. (B2 out)
Ivan skitters out again and heads to a spot beside Ayla. Rearing up and clicking his mandibles at the the cleaver-wielding bugbear from the cover of the table, Ivan distracts the bugbear from Ayla. +2 AC to Ayla. Good roll, but Ivan would also suffer from cover if it profits from cover.
Viyko steps up and pulls out another lock of wool. As he blows the wool from the palm of his hand he incants, "изумить."
1d20 ⇒ 13
Group 2
The bugbear seems to loose focus and hesitates as Viyko’s spell takes effect. His guard remains high, but she simply waits.
Group 3 then Group 1 again. (Bless and Inspire Courage on: +2 to hit, +1 D, +1 save vs fear)
