Finnian - Great timing for building a character with the Crane Style feat....

From yesterdays Ultimate Combat errata (and sending the Paizo message boards on fire!!!)

Benefit: Once per round, when fighting defensively with at least one hand free, you can designate one melee attack being made against you before the roll is made. You receive a +4 dodge bonus to AC against that attack. If you using the total defense action instead, you can deflect one melee attack that would normally hit you. An attack so def lected deals no damage and has no other effect (instead treat it as a miss). You do not expend an action when using this feat, but you must be aware of the attack and not flat-footed.

My view is that this so fundamentally undermines your character that you'd want to rebuild so....let's ignore the errata!!!!!

I didn't notice until now, but the name of your gun is awesome. At least it brings the number of females in the party to two.

I am OK either way. The new erratta to Crane Riposte fixes most of the problem. I lose an auto deflect for a +4 to AC, not real happy, but also not a big deal overall.

Hi Zed. Can I buy any of the pre-generated spellbooks listed in Ultimate Magic? So far I've just given my character 2 spells per wizard level.

Sorry for the light posting guys. Started a new job a couple of weeks ago and am still in the "ramping up" period. Will post tomorrow and try to keep up better in the future.


I have PM'd Scaramanga to get a Will save...if nothing is forthcoming in the next few hours I will probably roll for him and keep us moving along....

Yeah. My spellbook is on my home comp as well. I forgot what I had prepared for the day... Also do you want a copy of it or something? I'm not quite sure how to go about handling spellbooks in online games. I keep a hero lab file if you want the .por


I don't have Hero Lab, thanks for the offer though... You can stick the spells on your profile or a linked spreadsheet maybe?

Forgot to add. Those fireballs also have a DC 20 reflex save to halve the damage.

My healing is the "don't get hit" kind :)
Not always a good choice :)

Hey guys. I'm starting to wear myself thin on PbPs and I'm going to be dropping a couple of games, this one included. I have no complaints and I really like you guys, but I really need to consolidate my PbP habits into maybe 2-3 games (as opposed to the 4, and soon 5 that I'll be in with some friends).

This is NOT to say I'm leaving cold turkey, and I'll play until we get to a good checkpoint where my character can part ways with you guys amicably (or die horribly, whichever comes first)and be least disruptive to the story.

Scaramanga - I understand, and it is always better to be honest rather than start feeling like it is becoming a chore....I will put a thread in recruitment and see if anyone wants to take your slot...in the meantime, it would be great if you can carry on to a sensible 'exit point'

Hi, from the light within the tunnel you should be able to see where the party has moved on to after their encounter with the undead...(you can check out the map at the top of the Gameplay Page and in the Campaign tab). Feel free to post you arriving at the mine...


With Sumak approaching along the corridor, do you guys want to do Gameplay introductions... Then hopefully Bragi will let you know what he has detected and we can move on?
