Hmm, realizing something. I haven't kept track of all the xp you've earned down here. 'Twill be my punishment to go back and find everything you've killed, or not killed, and various RP actions, then calculate it all out, but I'm certain you're going up at least one level. I don't think you'll earn 7,000 to bump you to 4, but we'll see. Xp gets interesting when you're with hireling and solo. Oh, what are your thoughts on that. My understanding of RAW is that hirelings don't take away XP, but it's less clear on the subject of temporary allies.

I think it is almost time to go hunt down the Stag Lord, but Eleanor still has to keep her word regarding Svetlana's Ring. . . Also we decided to split all Exp evenly Ashberry and Eleanor 50/50, so that takes both of us to 6k :) so level 4.5 isn


Ah we did? Okay then, thanks for the reminder. Because Ashberry is a minion and wasn't there for the last encounter, split the xp 7/5. That still brings her up to three and you're still at four, but I think it reflects the situation better.

As for the ring, those who seek shall find. Glad that you liked the dungeon.

I think I will encourage Ashberry along the following lines:
1) Safe Curing Revelation (not getting hit for healing is a good thing)
2) Energy Body Revelation via Extra Revelation Feat at level 3.

Skill wise, if there was anything that she felt she should know better, I think that should be where her points go. Probably 1 to religion in an attempt to understand what an Oracle is.

27 HP on Eleanor. Using averages for Dassah and Ashberry puts them at 15 (Dassah) and 19 (Ashberry). I will edit up the horrendously long character sheet from hell late tonight when I am done with a couple side projects.

I am debating Con v. Cha for the stat bump. Although I like casting, I also love living. Hard decision.

Ok! I think I got it all updated.

The innitial post is close to what I ended up putting things in.

Eleanor learned Halit and Halfling through Linguistics (Halit is what I believe the were wolves were speaking). I also picked up the K. Planes because of summoning.

Picked up some Knowledges on Ashberry, and some skills I thought appropriate based on actions.

Idle curiosity, do I know of Grigs and Hyenas

Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Trying to get my Summon II creatures figured out and locked in.

Thanks for all the hard work, remember to update yourself with the Summon Monster II ability. *Edit, found it under you offense.

With your roll, you'd definitely know of them. Oh, any CR1 outsiders are fair game for your summoning ability, just in case you wanted to summon daemons, kytons, or something. If its another CR1 creature, the answer is probably yes, but double check.

Your crossbow attack should be +5

Might want to give Dassah stats for a crossbow attack.

Rolling for Ashberry is fine, she's in your corner. You don't have to make a spellcraft check for the armor, you already know it isn't magical. I'll apply it to the sword instead. You know that it is a +1 sword, though style is unfamiliar. Assuming it would have come up when you examined it, Evan, Ashberry's father, tells you that is an Aldori dueling sword. A single edged blade unique to the swordlords of Restov. It's said the Baron Aldori, first of the swordlords, made the original dueling sword when he defeat the bandit chief.

School is picking up, and I'm dealing with system shenanigans, so probably no late night/early morning posts this time.

Thanks for keeping me in the loop.

To make life a little easier, Eleanor's goals for the coming trip to Oleg's:

1) apologize for failing to find the ring, and for not properly saying goodbye last time.
2) Check with the captain of the guard about the earrings safe return to the family of the victim.
3) Get the sword and armor appraised, may part with them at some near point if it would make sense (for example, to exchange for a wand of Cure Light Wounds)
4) See what needs to be done around Oleg's as far as possible quests.
5) Make sure the bandits are settled in and treating Oleg and Svetlana well.
6) Get Ashberry's family a homestead or place to stay.
7) Secure small things faeries might like to trade for.

Then we will be headed south to the Bandit Camp we raided and were subsequently chased off by a troll in an attempt to locate the ring, following the bandits' tips about faeries and the lost ring.

Once we are caught up on promise keeping, we will head south again to take on the Stag Lord, moving slowly so Dassah can complete some of her mapping. If we are to build a kingdom, we will need to locate some resources!


Sounds good, will make sure to cover those things once the pleasantries are over.

World Wound--Disappeared --Confirmation

I am knocking some of the things off the list before the pleasantries start. The conversation with Krestle is meant to take a while so Evan has all the time he needs to gather information on me without me getting to his sources first.


I looked at the modified exploration and travel times. With a horse it wasn't so bad, with a wagon it's horrific! 9 days for each hill hex! Now, it's accurate. Exploring a 10/12 mile diameter area with a wagon well enough to have chance of finding hidden caves and burial places should take over a weak. That's a lot of ground. Britain on the Scot/english border is about six hexes, only a little larger than from the Narlmarches to the Tors, and accurately exploring that border would take you months, especially in a wagon. Anyway, I changed things around, reducing the times. However, even by the book you'd be spending 64-72 days to get to the Stag Lord's fort. With our modified times, it be 108 days.

May I suggest that you take a more direct route. I don't think leaving him alone with for several more months is a good idea. Though ultimately, the choice is yours.

I think you are right, we will take the direct approach there, taking time to finish up the hexes along the path that we tried to explore when we encountered the bandit camp, and later trolls. We will work our way to the confluence of the rivers and the lake, maping as we go, following the vague concept of directions provided.

I updated the map. Red is the path there, black the path home. I believe we have followed the red line multiple times to varying degrees of success, so we will try to find new details rather than following our ruts.

Ok! I redid my plan. New plan!

1) Dassah will steal toys, and put them with Dovan, and break most of them to truly enrage Ox.

2) Dassah returns to us, and she scouts the environs around the Stag Lord. We want 2 sources of fire. If we are missing fire sources, Dassah will put 2 candles in the room, and light them a far enough away from the Stag Lord as not to disturb him with light.

3) Once Dassah's part is done, we will apologize profusely to Dassah for the remainder of the plan.

4) Summon 2 Grig, and 4 Earth Elementals.

5) Ashberry will bless us all.

6) Eleanor will cast Mage armor on the lot of the Earth Elementals, and Ashberry will cast Shield of Faith on the lot as well. +4 armor, +2 shield of Faith = +6 AC for the Earth Elementals.

7) Grigs and Elementals accompany Eleanor and Ashberry to the lords room (we will make sure the elementals follow at least with just one elemental summoned as not to waste too many spells)

8) Grigs are instructed and placed. next to Stag Lords Head. Ashberry remains at the back of the Stag Lord, Eleanor in front.

9) 1, 2, 3, COUP DE GRACE! (Eleanor and Ashberry could probably find stuff better to coup de grace with, but. . . it is the weapon they know, and the one they will use.)

10) Hope the Elementals attack!

11) Hope we win Initiative!

12) Ashberry and Eleanor execute withdrawal actions, and heal as needed.

13) Grigs cast Pyrotechnics for smoke and firework, firework first. They are free to leave thereafter.

Since them actually catching on and attacking is essential to the plan, we will have to add a step to the plan that involves scouting for a rat, and testing it. Summon. walk up to rat, swing at rat. Does elemental help? If yes, proceed, if no. . . we stop and re think.


Good idea. Thanks for the stat up. I really appreciate the help. Note, elementals and outsiders don't receive a template when summoned, only those with the asterisk do, which basically means any normal animal.
