All of the archons have it, so stay within 10' of one of them.

Ok, lets set the scene, and I will try to fix the map problem later. Praxim is in R5 - he wanted R6, but he would not have line of sight to Barl Breakbones from there. Thordak is in G9. Tomaru is in Q4. One hound archon is in R7. Lym is in T7. Other archons are in D7 and D8. Lucrecia is Large and in F7-8, E7-8. Kellen is in G7. Barl is where you see him.

Praxim and Thordak strike Barl for serious damage. The giant grimaces in pain.

save vs Glitterdust: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31

Lucrecia ducks just in time to avoid being blinded by Rhianni's spell. The outline of her large lamia form, however, is lined in the shiny dust for all to see.

Regardless, Kellen's attacks are deflected by her mage armor, but only just. Daggers in hand, she grins at the man. "You will make a nice replacement for poor Kaven," she purrs, 'poor, poor, Kaven."

ROUND FOUR:

Lucrecia attacks Kellen with a flourish.

Her blades are a steel whirlwind of glittery death.

-60 hp and -1 Wisdom drain, Kellen.

Barl sighs heavily, hefting his massive earthbreaker. He engages Thordak with great sweeps of his weapon.

-59 hp, Thordak. Just missed that x3 crit.

You guys are up. Take note of where you are, will get the damn map fixed!

Lym completes her summons, gestures at Lucrecia -- and at the far extent of her spell, the air swirls, darkens, then brightens as - 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 - two shaggy shapes translate themselves from some higher realm into this mortal land.

Two Celestial Aurochs snort, paw the ground, then one charges at the llamia and the other at the towering giant, both while uttering their bovine war-cries! As they charge, their coats shimmering with some odd inner light and they lower their horns, narrowly swerving around Lym's allies.

Celestial aurochses Smite Evil attack! Gore #1 (Lucrecia): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 for 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 damage. Gore #2 (Barl): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 for 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 damage.

Well, that was substandard. =_= Hopefully they'll at least distract them a bit.

Meanwhile, Lym whips another scroll from her sleeve, takes a bead on Lucrecia and chants the words she scribed onto the vellum mere days ago.

Spell penetration: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27. Casting Dimensional anchor from a scroll. Ranged touch attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

As the scroll crumbles into dust, an eerie green ray flashes from Lym's hands and touches Lucrecia.

"You are not getting away this time, snake!" Lym growls.

Despite his wounds and Lucrecia's taunts, Kellen quietly presses the snake-lady - hoping the hounds will be able to begin trouncing her. One of his swords strikes the armor and slips out of his hand (assuming), so he attacks on with the short sword for now.

Sneak/Flank Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 3) = 9
-3 points of bleed damage per round.(Assuming the last attack didn't make, otherwise it would be -6)

Effects: Hasted, Flanking, Assuming the Circle Of Prot from Evil is also in effect given my proximity to the archons. If so, then +2 to AC and saves. Effective AC=25 or 26.

We'll put the first auroch in G5-6 and the second in G10-11. There is no more room up there.

Rhianni

Seeing Kellen and Thordak get practically mauled, and knowing her magic will affect them as much as their enemies, she begins a tale in song in hopes to keep her allies spirits up.

Gonna go with Inspire Courage +1(+1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls)

Move to I 8 just to make sure everyone hears her. I figure we need all the pluses to hit and damage we can get. I would ask if it's possible to add this to Kellen and Lym's rolls but their rolls are so low it's a moot point.

Very nice! And desperately needed! Might as well post now...

Praxim fires a deadly barrage, three of his four arrows burying themselves deeply in the stone giant's abdomen. The giant rears up in agony, and is met by dwarven fury. Three strikes up into Barl's 'nether regions', with the final one stabbing well up through the large intestine. With a groan and a surprised look, Barl Breakbones falls dead, a heavy crash vibrating the floor of the cavern.

Only Lucrecia left.

Will post her actions shortly.

As he manages to connect fantastically, Thordak feels the consecutive jolts from his own weapon itself. As Barl falls dead to the floor, "Ha," is all he's able to manage through a difficult breath due to the numerous wounds. "I'd laugh at ya more but between that stupid hammer and this fork, I've not the energy and we still have ta kill yer stupid lackey." He then turns his attention to the lamia, wondering if they can manage to take her down this time before she gets away.

Lucrecia's defenses continue to befuddle the hound archons, with the exception of one, who manages to get through her armor and bypass her mirror images. Several close calls by them reduce her images even further. One of Kellen's attacks takes down another image.

Seeing Barl fall, Lucrecia ceases taunting Kellen or Lym and bares her fangs. She hisses in defiance and wades in, seeking to take as many of you as she can before she dies.

With a cry of victory, she holds the bloody daggers high in the air, letting the combined blood of your companions fall onto her upturned face.

"COME FACE ME, ORC WITCH!! COME AND DIE LIKE THEM!"

Blegh. Substandard again. Note that Hound Archons now also have flanking benefits!

"Come to you, you harlot?" Lym calls back, contempt in her voice. "I would not soil my hands."

As Lucrecia rises up in triumph, Lym flicks a bead of cold, blue light into the air above her head. The bead expands into a blast of arctic cold, the air howling as the temperature drops sharply!

I hope I can aim an Iceball in here so it will hit only Lucrecia and not the others around her by putting its emission point above her; she is Large, our guys are Medium and some are prone, and this is a cave high enough for a Giant to stand up in comfortably (or so I assume).

She alights next to Archie and Tomaru. With an evil grin, she stares deeply into Tomaru's eyes.

Kellen, you can make an adjustment to hit with your swords if you want. She does not have 10' reach, fyi. ALSO <facepalm> I've been missing her SR, Lym. She has SR19, so you can roll for each spell. Do not roll for the ones already cast. Penalties to Wis are drain.

I need to be more clear: Lym your Dispel was your action for round 6. But it doesn't matter anyway...

An arrow hits Lucrecia in the back, followed by a second, then a third. She whirls about, her face thrust forward, hissing with rage. The last arrow flies through the air as if in slow motion. It drives deep into the lamia's open mouth, up through the roof and into her brain. She dies, crumpling with the look of rage still on her face.

Combat over. Well done!
