I put the character sheets, and other things in this folder. Please find your character on all three as each one has info.

Dad's the druid, Haley is the sorcerer and Scottt is the barbarian.

Hey guys. Great first game.

Here is where you can find a synopsis of the intro:
Picture the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Pepsi has convinced FIFA to extend breaks in the World Cup final to allow for a Super Bowl type halftime show.

This show is hyped in America to be the next leap for mankind. Advances in science has led to the plan for the performer to begin her song in NYC, step through what they're calling a star gate, continue on the space station, climb through another stargate in zero grav to end the song on the field. This will all be done live with the performer holding her own camera.

It was expected to be the most watched televised event in human history. 700 or so million people watched as one of her back up dancers cut her throat, and then plunged the knife (looks like an old spear head) through an old book.

A second later, the book shone brightly in an explosion of orange light. Anyone who was awake at that instant also saw the light pass over them wherever they were in the world. Everyone asleep awoke feeling an odd sensation. The man smiled at the camera, which was now somehow floating. He smiled as his top canine teeth began to elongate while his skin grew pale and his eyes turn from green to red. Another man like him landed next to him hard enough to kick up dust. He dropped another man to the ground from his shoulder. The man was bound, unconscious and immediately recognized by all who looked upon him as Thor, Norse god of thunder. Thor was then executed by the vampire with the spear head dagger.

He held his bloody knife above a sheet of paper which started to glow as the blood dropped onto it.

He looked at the camera and said "watch as I bring man to its knees" and paused, looking at his watch for a moment. Whoever heard him say that heard him say it in all languages they could comprehend.

A moment later is when the world darkened. All metal all over the world (with the exception of anything in someone's body like a pacemaker) liquified. It did not get hot enough to melt, but it became as viscous as water. It solidified sixty seconds later but the damage had been done. Planes disintegrated mid flight. The world's navies were gone. Most buildings collapsed immediately. The collective shockwave of Atlanta's skyscrapers collapsing could be felt as far west as Powder Springs.

Intro to start

You all crawled out of collapsed buildings and vehicle hulls before arriving at an Adventist church a mile and a half west of Six Flags over Georgia.

About half of the people here have manifested abilities. Some of these abilities look like magic and no two people's abilities are the same and a lot of them don't work the same way.

Winged monsters began arriving with rules and treated survivors as livestock. No explosives, no electricity and no settlements with forty people or more.

You have made your way to camp Lansky and have been going out every day collecting supplies. A police officer was parked at this church during the incident and never left.

We fought three goblins, a human sorcerer and a water monster.

Homework for everyone: give me a paragraph of who your character was before the world went to hell. If it makes sense, you'll get some minor benefits in game. Just reply to this post with your backstory.

Scroll down to the 1st level spells and pick two. You have two scrolls (roll over spells) that you can cast at any time. I gave you the ability to make scrolls but I forgot to give you any.

Here is My background, Helix is a Marine Vet who is home with his family after a tour overseas. With the BIG event going on Helix and his wife and 2 kids went to Six Flags to enjoy the park and all the festivities going on. Right before everything went to crap, Helix and his family were on the Superman ride and it melted. Some strange changes happened to Helix, he grew a Little taller and got stronger. After he cleared his head he was looking for his family but found no trace of them anywhere. After wandering around looking for his family he was gathered up and sent to Lansky camp where he met the rest of the group.

Here is my Background-

May was a Freshman in college. She hoped to become a Veterinarian, so in preparation she took all of the hardest science courses in highschool and was a little ahead of the rest of her class. In preparation for the big event the college arranged for all of the science classes to enjoy the day at Six Flags. As an excuse to skip a day of school and spend time with friends, May, signed up to go on the trip to six flags with her physics class. She was standing in line to get some food, thinking about her chemistry homework, when the blast of yellow light happened. Then everything metal liquefied. This caused the ice machine to explode, May fell down, and pieces of glowing ice flew everywhere. A generous amount landed on May and was absorbed through her skin. The ice fused with her DNA giving her unnatural abilities over ice as well as other magical abilities. After May got up, she saw the disaster that was Six Flags, she looked for her friends but could not find them. Eventually, she followed a group of people headed to Camp Lansky determined to figure out what happened to her.

So we're back at camp after successfully clearing out the goblins. Everyone has homework. The only penalty for not doing your homework is you don't level up. I'll put up what the traveling horde has for sale soon. I've got a couple of things planned for wrapping up the story arc and you'll want to be leveled up and better equipped before we get into that.

Dad:
You'll be a level 2 druid. Take a look at woodland stride, it's situational but I am going to try to use more real world locations that might have some of the terrain it mentions. You get more spells per day, four level zero and two level one. You can pick them from here. You can't change glide because it's a freebie, and it doesn't count as one of your two level one spells. Also, pick one trait. It can be anything on that list so long as it isn't in the magic category.

Dustin:
You'll be a level 2 cleric.You get more spells per day, four level zero and two level one. You can pick them from here. You can't change burning hands because it's a freebie, and it doesn't count as one of your two level one spells. Also, pick one trait. It can be anything on that list so long as it isn't in the faith category.

Taylor:
You'll be a level 2 rogue. Evasion is handy and you might want to be familiar with it just to remind me that you don't take damage from certain things. You also get something called a rogue talent. You have two ways of going about this: one) pick from here and make a permanent choice from about a hundred things, or two) you can make and apply poisons. If I don't hear from you, I will assume you are taking the poisoner route. Also, pick two traits. It can be anything on that list but make sure they don't come from the same category (combat, magic, faith, regional, etc.).

Scott:
You'll be a level 2 barbarian. Take a look at uncanny dodge, because that is something you'll want to remember if I forget. You also get something called a rage power. You can pick from here. Also, pick one trait. It can be anything on that list so long as it isn't in the combat category.

Haley:
You'll be a level 2 sorcerer. You have one additional 1st level spell slot (you can cast four 1st level spells a day from the ones you already know) and you know an additional 0 level spell from this list that you can cast as many times a day as you want. Also, pick one trait. It can be anything on that list so long as it isn't in the magic category.
