Zed drags his copy's body far enough to check and retrieve his gear under some cover from the bow of the imposter Lyrralt. He then realizes his copy is still alive.. though he does appear to be fading fast.
(morningstar, hat and dust retrieved... mistmail will take a little time. One action used)
The saws of the south alcove go on repeating the same cut... the spew of sawdust thins, and only the whirr of the blades continues.
Sunny's copy glances to the northeast again as the explosions, shouting, and other sounds of battle continue... over and above the remaining sounds of the sawmill. She flashes Sunny a "puh-lease" face, then looks up to the loft at Lyrralt's copy. "Yo bardo... etslay ailbay" and jerks a thumb out to the northeast while casually gripping the handle of the big sliding door with the other hand. "Papa Doyle could use a hand." She spins away from Lyrralt out of the door while trying to throw the north "rolling" door shut between them... doing neither effectively nor gracefully. (5' step to V,14) She then quickly tears some cloth... readying herself to stop the bleeding.
The Lyrralt copy nods and begins casting again. He disappears.. you hear and see the cut planks west of the trap door shift. Then you hear a 'Crick Crick crack" as something unseen slams the trap door shut - throwing a cloud of sawdust in the air. You hear muffled dwarven swearing from underneath from the yet unhelpful Bimnil...

With most of his equipment retrieved Zed sits there staring down at his copy. "Tell me everything you can about this Master Doyle. What are his plans?"

varian starts recovering his gear from his fallen copy.
DM Bloodgargler
Zed's dying copy responds between pained breaths "Doyle inherit... vast knowledge.. powerful artifacts of the ancients... and living Eoxians of.. a timeless world. He seeks.. timeless world. Linguist is key. He seeks.. even greater power... and everlasting life... he will not... embrace death.. as ancestors."
He takes a few shallow breaths. "Two cubes. Academy seven days... one day here. Seven days here... one day... Barracks..."
"I... enjoyed this.." he gestures weakly at the hat "I hated Doyle for that... A lost... ability I had no memory of..." His eyes flutter and lose focus like he is dozing off.
Zed Ulmin
Zed looks at the escaping copies and his dying one, torn. Finally he sighs "Don't make me regret this" he leans down and closes his eyes for a moment, then hums a melody as he puts his hand on the copies forehead. Afterwards he draws his morningstar, enjoying the feel of it in his hand again. He calls over "Who do you want me to go after?" as he prepares to cast true strike
Casting Stabilize. That should keep him alive but he won't be in any condition to get away

Suny shakes her head,
"That t'other Elven lass in' perzactly as smart as tha' one she looks like..." She says ruefully, though more to herself than to her companions.
She moves to the door at 'R-11/12' and deftly tries to open it.
"C'mon. We dun't want them others ta' be off makin' more mischief. That's my job!" Sunny calls gleefully to her friends (^_^)
So, yes. Trying to get out through the door at 'R-11/12' and maybe get some flanking action going on. At least trying to head her off at the pass. (^_~)

Lyrralt slides the north door shut. He starts to go for the south door, when he sees some sawdust stirred up and "smear" across the floor - just east of the now-shut trapdoor... as if the invisible fleeing copy skidded changing or choosing directions.
Lyrralt - you cannot pinpoint location or direction, but he seemed to change directions when you shut the north door (one action available)
I'll take perception checks from the rest of you

I be hoping near enough ta' gettin' out through that other door.

Noticing what Varian spotted, Zed sees the footprints in the sawdust turning toward the door through which Sunny just exited, and moves to block him.
Knowing he has little time of invisibility left, the Lyrralt copy slashes out at Zed... which causes him to appear. He then tumbles to Zed's side; ready to bolt for the door.
You hear and see nothing else of the false Sunny.

Climbing the log pile looks risky... too unstable. You might be able to sneak up on her or past her with the log she is leaning against as cover. Though you do not know how long she will stay put.
Lyrralt's copy deflects enough of Zed's strike to make his slight lean sufficient to avoid harm. He turns to do the same to Lyrralt, but adjusts his guard too late, and receives a sizable wound. Finding himself in a difficult position between the two and wounded, his self-confidence visibly wanes.

Leaving his armor for now, Varian moves toward the Lyrralt copy, weapon still in hand.
looks like on the map it would be a double move to get to the copy and I cannot charge because it's not a straight line, so just double moving to get to the copy.

The copy falls.. feebly grasping at the door knob as he stumbles to the ground. He is out, and looks like he will not survive his wounds.
Just prone... I picked the most appropriate of possible combat maneuvers for "tackling". She is on the ground, and you are on your feet one square north of her. With your roll now...
You successfully grab hold of your prone copy briefly, but she wriggles free before you can get her secure enough to tie up. She tries to spring to her feet quickly, but her injuries slow her down.

Varian turns to Lyrralt and gives him a slight nod... motions toward the body as if to say 'all yours'. "Sorry, didn't mean to steal your thunder there, but he looked like he was trying to get away."
Then returns to his own copy to retrieve his armor and put it on, which takes a full minute without assistance. Assuming he has the time to do all this, he dons the rest of his gear as well, taking a sigh of relief when it is all on. "I feel better already. Of course, my horse and tack are still missing, but I'll forgo them if it means we get out of wherever we are safely. Now shall we get the hell out of here?"

"My friend, never will I turn aside assistance in combat. You just never truly know how it will end up. Your strong arm will always be welcome in against an enemy!"
With that Lyrralt begins the gruesome task of ungarbing the fallen foe, realizing that this is what he himself would look like if he had fallen.
DM Bloodgargler
You spin around behind her to prevent her escape, but she doesn't move... 2 seconds later she crumples knocked out.
You hear yelling along with the fighting... a blond human stands trapped inside what looks like a giant soap bubble. Large monstrous black misshapen things claw at some human looking guy with a crowbar and four identical robed figures... elf or skinny human... an old tattered and singed man is shouting for their surrender.
Bimnil labors his way out from under the trap door, and helps the two remaining human escapees out. "I believe we should leave here with great haste. We can... ppbbbt!" He spits out sawdust, and now notices his beard is full of it.
The uninjured human trots around behind the saws, and turns off the mechanism. Bimnil continues as the whirr winds down "These fellows here tell me there is a village less than an hour east of here." He looks around at the bodies. "Perhaps we will wait until you deem the road is safe for travel."
.Sunny.
"Nertz!"" Sunny swears, even as she first patches uop the other Elf, thence finishes trussing the other woman in the robes. All the while trying to keep one eye on what's happening to her, (North?)
So, take ten or twenty to stabilize her. Thence take another twenty to bind her up. Then we'll see about joining the others.
Though it looks like some one has been very busy making lots of copies of people...:P
Also, I've effectively got all me gear back, right?
Zed Ulmin
Zed returns to his stabilized copy "These two cubes, and everlasting life. Explain them to me"
DM Bloodgargler
Zed's copy replies with a weak strained voice as everyone dons their gear. "They were small tests... created thousand of years ago. They were learning to create a world... a type of demiplane which could sustain itself, and exist within.. an altered flow of time. The first ones learned to create us... mere vessels in which they would implant their own consciousness. From this timeless first world, they would live through us in other worlds... while aging only a day for every 100 years." He takes a moment to catch his breath before continuing...
"The others... they learned how to act human... But I.. From your memories I inherited a distaste for this treatment.. the dark doings of this madman, and the voices which whisper in his ear... the incorporeal manifestations of the timeless ones with no host to inhabit."
You bind the wounds of your copy, and then begin to bind her arms and legs while keeping an eye on the fighting to the northeast. You see a human worker morph into another of these black humanoid lumpy and disproportioned faceless creatures and join the other four abominations in fighting the human with a crowbar and elf (who has just blasted a couple creatures... stunning them with a cone of bright colors.)

(Sunny will be done with her listed actions about the same time the rest are suited up)
.Sunny.
Much cheers to all! (^_^)
Varian
Varian finishes donning his armor and other gear about the time Sunny starts heading back to the mill with her burden. He looks at her quizzically then smiles slightly as she approaches.
"Kept another one alive, eh? Can't say I see any reason for it though. What does this one have to say for itself?"
.Sunny.
Sunny smiles as she returns,
"Not much. We din't have a lot of time ta' chat." She replies then indicates North with an inclination of her head.
"I think tha' real fight be that'a way." She turns and lifts a leg and points with an arched foot.
"Lots'a weird critters over yonder. All black an'....weired lookin'. Atackin' peoples. We should get over there an' help out." So saying she turns and begins walking, both to allow the others to keep catch up and also because she's discovering a semi-clothed version of herself is heavy.
Varian
Varian shrugs, grins and follows Sunny 'that'a way'. "Sounds like frying pan to the fire, but I'm ready for it."
Zed Ulmin
Zed takes a moment, then putting on his mask he breathes deep and looks up And so we go, as the wheel turns we scatter towards, away, and through it With his silver mask once again covering his features he turns to the others, morningstar in one hand and an upturned, glowing ball in the other "Let's see what we can do"
DM Bloodgargler
Bimnil nods "Good luck lads... miss... we'll keep an eye on these two for you." he indicates the Zed copy and the copy Sunny is carrying with another couple nods.
Outside the door you find a fairly sunny day... sometime around noon. There are large piles of de-limbed trees to the east and northeast.
Directly north, six or seven hundred feet away is an enormous building. (north of map... not shown) It looks like a fairly plain house, but the size of a mansion... four hundred feet across and three stories. It is made of some stone, but appears to be mostly wood - painted grey with a purplish undertone.
To the south is a stone and wood structure. With an attached silo visible on the far corner and wood barn doors... it looks like a barn.
Northeast past the logpiles, you see the fighting mentioned by Sunny. You see four human-shaped and size figures, and five larger misshapen bipeds with disproportionately long arms fighting the two northmost humanoids. The two closest to you do not appear to be currently engaged in the fighting.
(Kept most of you placed where you were.. You are kind of out of combat. Feel free to do 2 or 3 rounds worth of actions...Not including any "catch-up posts" mentioning thing you have readied while retrieving gear etc..., but you might want to wait a post before making any attack. Talking is free.)
Zed Ulmin
Zed motions to the others and starts jogging towards the fighting "Cmon, we have to start taking charge of things"
