So, one of my games died due to RL dramas. This means that ... I can make a new game!
I prolly invited you to make a character; you should do that. :)
4d6 drop lowest chargen, no guns, no 3pp, 1 campaign trait and 1 whatever tait, max starting gold for class, blah blah blah, be awesome.
what, you want me to play myself?
anyway magic dice of doom:
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5, 5) = 20 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 5, 1) = 12 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 2) = 9 = 8
4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5, 2) = 12 = 10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 6) = 10 = 9
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 1, 2) = 11 = 10
cool a 5 point buy
Edit: re-roll
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 1) = 10 = 9
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 5) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1, 4) = 9 = 8
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5, 4) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 1) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 4) = 17 = 16
Yeah better 18 point buy
Edit again - lets see...
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 4) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5, 5) = 16 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 2) = 6 = 5
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 2, 5) = 16 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 6) = 12 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 6, 2) = 13 = 12
Yes 10 points assuming a 5 is a valid score

4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 4) = 17 13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5, 3) = 15 14
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 1) = 8 7
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5, 1) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2, 3) = 10 8
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4, 4) = 17 16
hmm...can i get a reroll too for that?
if so....
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 5) = 12 12
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 5) = 19 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 4) = 19 15
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 3, 2) = 13 11
4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5, 6) = 17 16
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 2) = 16 14
Better :)

Dotting, but have no idea what to play, may wait and see what other people are apping and fill the need
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1, 5) = 16 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6, 1) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4, 3) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 6) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 2) = 12 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5, 2) = 14 = 13
That's a pretty straight base line
Tierce |
Second Attempt
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 5) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 5, 1) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 6) = 22 = 17
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 3, 1) = 12 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 6, 2) = 15 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 1) = 13 = 12
Third Attempt
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 1, 3) = 8 = 7
4d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 5, 1) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 5) = 20 = 17
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 6, 3) = 18 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 1) = 14 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 4) = 11 = 10
hmmmm, going with Second Attempt on that one
Still no idea what to play, any suggestions?
Thinking of maybe actually playing Tierce or Talon Vraie, that would be rogue and bard in that order

Thanks for the invite! It ix always sad to see a campaign die off. :(
Jaevin was actually originally designed for this campaign but I didn't get picked for it.
okay, cleric of Shelyn. bastard half-elf abandoned at birth at a temple to Shelyn since the child was concieved in love but couldn't be kept due to prejudice.
This was a similar type thing that happened to Jaevin, except for the love part and his mom ended up dying when he was young. He was a bard who actually ended up running an orphanage under Shelyn's name.
-------------------------------
Currently we have a:
Cleric
Rouge
Ranger
Looks like a melee and arcane would be beneficial here. Never played a magus before, how are they? Any other suggestions? I also have the thought of a small mounted barbarian, or a two handed fighter who wields large weapons, or a wizard with ridiculous initiative (+13ish at level 1).
PS It will be a while before I have a solid crunch and back story, my real analysis professor is being a pain.

Oh almost forgot... DIIIIICE!!!!!!!
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3, 6) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 1) = 8
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 2, 2) = 8
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 1, 3) = 10
4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 1) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2, 3) = 13
-----------------------
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 2, 6) = 16 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 3) = 13 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 6) = 13 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 5) = 21 = 17
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 4) = 18 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 2) = 12 = 10
----------------------
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 1) = 12 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1, 2) = 8 = 7
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6, 1) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5, 3) = 19 = 16
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 4, 6) = 17 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 1, 4) = 11 = 10
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, not sure now.

Getting my dice in to make sure you guys know I don't hate you. I was away all weekend.
4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 2) = 11 9
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 3) = 15 12
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 5, 6) = 20 16
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 2) = 15 13
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6, 5) = 21 17
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 2, 5) = 14 12
I'll read the thread and catch up.
Thanks for the invite!

SO at this point we have a swashbuckling rogue, a cleric, a magus and a ranger. What are we actually missing?
The Magus is taking the front liner role, neh?
We have damage covered with the Rogue and the Ranger.
Skills with the Rogue.
Divine with our cleric.
Is there anything in particular that we're missing? I'm going through the CoCT player's guide now to double check suggested roles.
Skaldi the Tallest |
Those are pretty much all of the things that came to my head as well.
Thoughts so far:
-Evangelist Cleric of Abadar wth Flagbearer. Helluva support PC. It would mean doubling up on a class, but the role is very separate.
-My often-time fall back of a summoner. They're great at controlling the field. I might finally bring out that Beastbrood with the lovely chair.
-something else suggested by one of you guys. I love developing concepts and can take a prompt a long way. I wouldn't mind trying this with an Uncommon race or a custom built race (preferably build by Lexi to avoid too much cheese-monkey-ocity)
Tierce Vraie of Taldor |
Evangelist Clerics are just divine bards, so your not doubling up at all imo.
As for summoner, there is always the Master Summoner as well. You can just summon in whatever role we are missing. "Need a tank? No problem, summoning riding dog! Need DPS? No problem, summon in hawks!!!"

I still don't know what to roll with right now. Perhaps a big clanky paladin?
My initial look through of the Magus made the impression that he is a melee glass canon type character, not really a front liner. But with a big clanky paladin I can do that. :)
And when I say clanky, I mean clanky.
