Gaius, Surprise round's over, so can I get your round one actions?
DM-Salsa |
Okay, Well that settles that.
The priestess starts to pull herself off the blade and make a quick retreat. One hand holds her chain while the other reaches for a potion on her belt. Before she can get off the blade though, Lauran moves up and finds the hole in one of the rings of her chainmail. A small squeak of a cough brings up a little blood, another brings up even more. Her knees buckle and she slides off the two blades to the ground.
1d20 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 1 - 2 = 10 Stabilize
1d20 + 1 - 3 ⇒ (14) + 1 - 3 = 12
1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (10) + 1 - 4 = 7
1d20 + 1 - 5 ⇒ (4) + 1 - 5 = 0
1d20 + 1 - 6 ⇒ (5) + 1 - 6 = 0
1d20 + 1 - 7 ⇒ (9) + 1 - 7 = 3
1d20 + 1 - 8 ⇒ (3) + 1 - 8 = -4
1d20 + 1 - 9 ⇒ (7) + 1 - 9 = -1
1d20 + 1 - 10 ⇒ (20) + 1 - 10 = 11
1d20 + 1 - 11 ⇒ (4) + 1 - 11 = -6
The priest looks shocked, and maybe a little weak at the knees as he sees the woman who had held him captive goes down in two hits. His eyes stay riveted to her as she lies on the floor of the chamber with her blood pooling about her slowly.
Okay we're out of combat. What will our villains do now?
Xrezth the Discordant |
Xrezth draws her blade from the bloody priestess lying on the ground and smiles. She looks directly at the Iomedae priest as she takes her scimitar and places it at the throat of the priestess and quickly presses it down severing her throat and spinal cord.
We wouldn't want her to recover now would we. Can't have loose ends following us.
She then bends down and wipes her blade on the priestesses robe before standing and again looking at the good priest.
So, why are you here and what are you going to do for us? I really don't care whether you live, all I care is whether I live.
DM-Salsa |
A quick search of the formerly living priestess turns up a nice suit of chainmail, her well-made spiked chain, a couple of scrolls, three potions, and a pendant in the shape of a skull with spiked chains spilling from the eye sockets.
You also notice the corpse is covered in scars and piercings that form intricate, almost beautiful patterns on her skin.
Gaius Bolin |
Gaius walks over slowly, avoiding the blood on the floor, to look at the dead priestess' belongings.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
The potions all cure light wounds when drunk, and this scroll allows you to cast (didn't put what it was in the spoiler). I'm not sure what this one does though. says Gaius, looking decently pleased and assure of himself among the gore.

Did you not see This post DM S?
Dogar watches impassively as the two females of their group make short work of the strange priestess. Normally, he'd be more than little furious of someone who'd got in the way of a fight of his, but this was a rare exception.
He'd never really had much gumption for killing women, mainly because it wouldn't normally be much of a challenge, but seeing these two work, especially the sadistic Asimar, he makes mental note not to give them any advantage for being female should the time to kill them happen to arise.
'Hmph, these two broads are as crazy as the dead one was. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll start some trouble with me. Still just doesn't seem quite right to kill a dame what ain't caused me no grief yet after all.'
As he muses to himself the shaggy haired dwarf stomps over to the hanging man, completely oblivious and uncaring of the blood he steps through on the way. Coming right up to the man he asks gruffly "So, I suppose we're supposed to free ya, eh? Well, what I want to know is, what's in it for me?"

@ Dogar: Sorry I did indeed miss it. Although I don't think it matters anymore since this games is going to be replaced by the WotW campaign. Here's the post anyway.
"I would appreciate it. I assume you're here to free the captive priestess further in this house of madness. I can keep your wounds healed, but I'm afraid that after this one's care," his head indicates the now nearly headless half-elf, "I'm not in much of a condition to be fighting. Beyond that. I have nothing else to offer."
He seems relatively calm considering he's hanging by his arms from spiked chains over a basin filled with dried and drying blood.
