Greetings Players!

Welcome to what hopefully will be a fun filled time.

Expectations:
Have Fun Seriously, if your not having fun why are you playing? If for some reason you are not having fun, message me and I'll see if I can fix the situation.

Roleplay This is possibly an old Cam adage that follows me, this is a roleplaying game not a "roll" playing game, we do both but one helps the other. Try and describe a bit of what you are doing, this is one of the advantages of PbP -- you can internal monologue, you can describe your weapon flourishes, ect and your not slowing down the game. Talk among yourselves in character - it's fun!

Vital Statistics This is to make everyone's life a bit easier, this puts everything in your tagline to help adjudication situations where the GM rolls for the whole party. I've added a how to guide for joining on the signup page.

Posting I'm going to aim for non-Weekends once every 24 hours. This doesn't mean I ignore you on the weekend, or it will take 24 hours per round of posting. If everyone has posted, I'll move things on.

Rolling I will roll the following to set up things and only really to keep things moving.

I will Bot under the following circumstances:
* It's combat, and 24 hours have passed;
* You tell me that you will be gone for a few days, and ask me to bot you.
I prefer not to bot, but I want the game to keep moving. If I do bot you, it will likely be minimal. I won't use player non-renewable resources except in dire situations.

Some combat notes:

Favian's AC plummets when flat-footed. However, to combat this, he will use his ability to take attacks of opportunity while flat-footed (kensai ability iaijutsu) to use the Flamboyant Arcana deed Opportune Parry and Riposte against the first eligible attack while flat-footed.

While traveling for long periods, Favian will wear his suit of +1 darkleaf cloth studded leather, which carries a 5% arcane spell failure chance. When he knows his going into a dangerous situation or somewhere he'll spend hours rather than days exploring, he'll UMD his wand of mage armor to replace the AC bonus and get rid of the spell failure chance.

Favian's monkey familiar, Desmond, has the bodyguard archetype. He can use the bodyguard feat 3 times per round to protect Favian. I will roll them on Desmond's turn, but as Desmond has Combat Reflexes, he can still use them even when flat-footed. When either Favian or Desmond take damage, I can choose to split the damage between the two of them.

I like the idea of adding a gunslinger and bard/oracle myself, but that's just my opinon. Not sure what our skill coverage would look like.

Alias is fixed. I'm sorry I didn't get to it yesterday; the website was not cooperating when I tried.

Note to the GM: Hania has memorized the spell paladin's sacrifice. It lets her as an immediate action take the effects of an attack on another to herself. I can't give you any rule exactly when she would use it, but she at least considers it when there's a scary critical hit on a squishy or any situation like that. It's rather a hard spell to make run smoothly in play by post, but it's saved a character's life at least once.

In terms of what everyone should play, I agree, bring what's fun for you. I don't enjoy in game conflict with other players, so I hope no one brings a necromancer or other almost evil character, but that's just my hope.

Favian isn't the type of person who hurts or oppresses other people to get what he wants, nor is he opposed to doing good, he's just likely to ask what's in it for him first. He's smug, arrogant, and an opportunist, but not evil.

Yeah, my concern isn't you guys doing evil things, it's that this scenario may be one that offers a choice between the easy way and the good way.

I also have gotten used to finding a CG friend in each scenario. They tend to be the ones who can tell the almost-truths that Hania can just turn away or remain silent during, if it's necessary.

It sounds like we'll just have to work it out if something comes up, though.

When I played this we had a Paladin and a Cleric of Sarenrae, who might as well have been a Paladin. We didn't have any issue with the easy way or good way with this if it helps alleviate your issues.

Looking at the PC Handout, it looks like we'll be crushing some kind of AI or at least we'll be making a lot of saving throws to avoid becoming overly tenderized by the said AI. :)

Your paladin can't be any more conflict than a couple arrogant high intelligence casters :D

As for the one scroll of life bubble.... 5 pcs and an npc want benefit... so 6 way share of 700... 560 if gm allows my boon to discount it. Which equates to 93.3 gold per target.... 186.6 for fabian.

But only caster level 5 so 10 hours divided by 6 targets... 100 minutes each.

Two scrolls total 1260 with discount on one.... 210 gold per target... 420 for fabian.

And someone does have to keep the unused scrolls in the end and reimburse the others.

Or the monkey can get delay poison with Draa.

4th level spell means caster level 7 minimum, so 14 hours split like Favian said: 6 hours for him, then 8 hours to split between two other buyers; covering all 5 party members would require that 8 hour duration to be split in 2 hour increments, so: Favian and pet 3 hours each, then everyone else at 2 hours each.

Cheap solution:
Favian plus pet: 300gp (6 hours)
Everyone else: 100gp each (2 hours each)

So, looking over the party, it appears we have three squishy full casters (I'm including Hedra here), a ranged martial, a dex based melee gish, and Hania as a melee focused martial. Does this sound accurate to everyone? How fragile is Favian?

Altogether, probably about on par with Hania.

About 75% of Hania's base hp, but I can choose to shift some damage to my familiar. I tend to have ablative barrier up which allows me to convert 5 damage from each hit to nonlethal.

My base AC seems to be better than Hania's and my touch AC is a lot better plus I have ways of increasing it.

I don't think this is part of Gameday VI, and I hope it doesn't come down to this, but who could we talk to in the event that a GM is no longer available?

I know of other GMs that have fallen behind in the last few days because the site was down during their only opportunity to post.

That is a good point. There's also the annoying feature that you must log in every 10 min or so... copy/paste all the posts you're about to make on a Notepad folks...

The standard is that if we don't hear from the GM in a week, we can ask for help in Flaxseed. However, with the site problems, I would think we would go a little longer than that week.

Every time I would write everything up and post even if I got past the server goblins, it would immediately log me out and not post what I just sent. Log back in, paste what I had copied, immediately logged out.

A few of us were about to have who ever manages to get it to post to let everyone's games know its the website. It wasn't just a 10 min thing, it was anytime we hit submit across many browsers, even my phone.
