The opening post is always the hardest...

I have started and stopped a couple of times now. I promise its coming. It has to be epic! So, I am working on it.

I hear that!

*glug* "If the powder gets wet, just dry it out on a fire." *gulg*

Now, that won't work, you see. The gunpowder is intuited by the slight spark from the flint... You're not listening to me are ya?

"Intuited? It has feeling for the spark?" Harri pushes her hat back, a ruddy lock escapes falling across her face. "I knew a Flint, didn't have any feelings for him though."

"Aye, course I listen to ye. You're a funny duck." She nods at the bard.

"You see, I'm communicating through this weird device, ya see. I think a phrase and it begins to turn it to speech. Sometimes there are errors... It's a work in progress."

Not a bard! Gunslinger.

"Meh, I just like communicating using me gob. Best way I find... although if lads try to get fresh with me; I communicate with me fists." she lets out a short humorous laugh, her thoughts drifting to numerous experiences. "So what's a sharp-shooter doing in these parts?"

"I'm heading to the Mwangi for some research. I hope to find... Something." Quinn isn't quite sure himself yet. "And how about you m'am?"

Still trying to figure out his voice.

"Well, there was this trouble in Shackles. I sort of lost my ride..." she shrugs, looks away slightly guiltily. "But got on this tub, trying to go to Mwangi looking for mango juice, goldfish shoals nibbling at my toes, fun, fun, fun. In the sun, sun, sun."

Me too, but I couldn't help but put in the theme song from the funniest Sci-fi show ever.

"I came here looking for a red dwarf. I heard she had healing secrets unknown outside the Mwangi," the elven woman chimes in, her oddly different-colored eyes appearing slightly unfocused.

Turning to the elven woman, "Ah...And your name miss?" I find myself in the company of beautiful ladies. "This journey is turning out well."

"Velia. Is that one of those gun things? May I see it?"

"A pistol, yes. It's safer in its holster." And I don't want them to see the hunk of junk that it is... I need to fix this damn thing up. "Someone untrained such as yourself is liable to blow their hand off."

Velia smiles. "That little thing doesn't look so dangerous. It doesn't even have an edge. Might make a good sap, though. Don't worry. I don't touch when it's not welcome. But I am here to learn. If you injure somebody with it, I'd appreciate a chance to look at the damage it does, the better to figure out how to heal it."

"Sounds like we should have some fun in the jungles. Miss Velia can find the medicinal value of plants, our alchemist friend can brew them up and I can drink them." She winks whilst her feet are hooked around the rigging.

With a powerful tug she pulls on a sail, hoisting it to catch the breeze. There's a heavy crack as it billows out.

"Hmm, yeah I suppose so." What is she going on about? Do they think they're coming with me... Suppose I could use the extra hands.

*\o/* Someone said you might be visiting our benevolent GM.

"Well when the ship get's to port, should be able to have some fun." Harri has to grab her hat as it falls from her head. A free hand grasps it before it gets out of reach, with lightning reactions.

Truth! The trip isn't just to visit kind ol' pinvendor, but if I were to journey to his neck of the woods and not see him? THAT would be a egregious error!

Since it occurred to me this wouldn't automatically pop for you yet...

Boat-like and all that.

Yo! I just realized, you guys are all bolding your characters' speech...that's not my normal convention. Do you guys want to do that? I guess I can allow it... (-_-')

If it's more comfortable, just go ahead. :-\

I saw harri do it and it seemed to help to know what is spoken aloud. Not necessary, not needed, but does make it easier I guess.

Apologies, I know Treppa prefers no bolding, and it is extra work. It's just my first pbp was formatted that way.

Honestly, I don't care that much as long as it's consistent. It used to be hard for me to read anything but the bolded parts of the posts, but I've gotten accustomed to the format now.

So the chatsters are already aware I had a small computer snafu which is believed to be rectified, so I should be getting this moving forward a little more soon. Sorry for the delay.

To answer a question Treppa asked in chat before she vanished to deal with RL stuff:

NPCs are completely eligible for you to speak with. I have just been slacking in responding. I want to finish reading up on the NPCs personalities and such. The double jobs has just been the rough sauce to taste. (;_;)

Well, he should definitely get 2 RC's (not to over shadow us, whilst allowing him the Temp HP option) - because of his brilliant personality and for being so brilliant in th card game. Whilst also making up for my lack of Golarianna.

Dude, it doesn't even make sense! Now she loves it of course. But revised 4th edition doesnt have the "YOU DIE!" possible ending. Bummed me out.

I'm sure I could die despite that.

Sorry for the delay. I do most of my posting at work, and having been sick means I haven't spent much time there. I will be back in the swing of it soon.

Phew! I am glad you posted Harri...been wondering if I was going to keep RPing with myself. =P

Though...while everyone's being quiet, I suppose I can try to work on the Fatigue chart...

just a heads up friends, i am trying to conserve my data plan on my phone and what not so I wont be posting as much during the day. will try to as soon as i get home and another before bed.

Mostly I'm just turning my phone off at work and leaving it off all day. So far so good! Though I could totally make a quick post at lunch or something....

I have some exciting yet unfortunate news. While there is currently no pay increase, I have been effectively given a promotion (possibly temporarily) to a project team at my primary job. Given the current deadlines they are talking about, I am uncertain if I will have much free time to post, so my posting may slow down...

I will try to get more in on the home front. I am liking all the RP going on...and true to my style, none of this is actually in the module nor required stuff for the AP. But I really felt it was necessary before jumping into the meat of everything. Hope you guy are having fun. (^_^)

Yeah, I'm having a ton of fun. And best way if for us to do some RP diversion, nothing worse than just rushing through the AP just for the sake of it (of course dawdling so that nothing happens can be as bad).

Anyway congratulations, I'm sure once they realise your worth - it'll be time for the big $$$.
