"Perlavish know hot bath and man temples near here."
Directions
Temple is in the hex out of edge 4
The hot springs are through the next hex and out edge 5 into another hex
So your current hex is adjacent by edge 2 the radish patch,
Edge 3 the bandit camp
Edge 4 the temple
Edge 5 the dead trapper
Edge 6 the traps
Eadric Cuthwulf
Eadric seems entirely amused by the encounter. His interest is piqued by the mention of a temple.
He smiles and shakes his head knowingly at Obi's comment. And lets out a chuckle at Ellaria's obvious excitement for a break from the dirty work of exploring.
"Many thanks to you, kind Perlavish! The sharing of your knowledge is greatly appreciated." Eadric fetches some food from within his saddle bags and offers it to the tiny dragon before continuing, "Is there anything that we can do to help you in some way?"
Obi Canicus
"I do not. Obi tells the little dragon, feeling a little sad about it. But then he perks up! "But I know someone who might! She's a real nice lady who has always served good food."
Obi carefully goes into detail about Svetlana's kindness and cooking skills, as well as directions to Oleg and Svetlana's.
"As long as you don't cause any trouble, you should be welcome there."
KenderKin
You finish exploring the hex with the fey dragon and can either head back to Oleg's Edge 1, the radish patch edge 2, The bandit camp edge 3, the temple edge 4, the dead trapper egde 5, or the trap area edge 6.
The most viable options for after lunch are
Edge 1 back towards Oleg's
Edge 4 the "temple of man"

Even knowing the temple is in this heavily forested hex it is difficult to find....
The thick tangle of brambles gives way into a large clearing
in the woods, its border partially defined by ruined stone
pillars. The western face of the clearing is dominated by a
looming, upthrust ridge of rock, nearly 300 feet across and
rising to a moss-topped height of 100 feet at the center.
The side of this towering boulder facing the clearing has
been carved in the likeness of an immense elk, its antlers
drooping down from its weathered face to frame a 50-footwide
cave entrance. A flight of stone steps leads up to this
cave entrance from the forest clearing—both the steps
and elk face feel quite old and are thickly encrusted with
layers of moss. A 50-foot-long oval pool sits in the middle
of the clearing, its waters thick with algae.
Like many ancient things, the Temple of the Elk lies
forgotten in the forest depths. Travelers can easily bypass
the overgrown temple, which is surrounded by numerous
thorny plants.
The water in the pool is foul and stagnant.

a shrine dedicated to Erastil, although also one that has
long since fallen into disuse.
Ellaria
Ellaria frowns at the pool in the middle of the clearing. "Maybe we can also rededicate this pool..."
Speaking more seriously, she adds: "I agree about exploring this. No use in leaving it here. I was never too pious, but I must say this temple does look impressive, especially in the middle of basically nowhere in the wilderness. I wonder which god was it dedicated to. Probably a forest one... I always forget their names".

Assuming a mounted charge is out of the question from my current location...
Eadric readies an action to intercept the bear when/if it attempts to charge/attack any of the party members (including himself), charging the bear if possible, to attack.
Ride check (guide with knees): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 = 3 Fail Good grief!
Eadric uses his shield hand to control his mount and continue the attack.
AC drops to 18.
Attack w/lance: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
If charge is available, please add +2 to hit, (another) -2 to AC and double my damage from the lance.
16 AC versus the bear's counter attack? I believe Eadric is going down... hard. :(
Torod
Can we get a map?
Torod realizes his fleeting skill with animals won't be enough to calm the crazed beast. He calls forth a bit of the storm's power as he moves up to the bear.
Stormburst: to hit 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 R Touch
Stormburst: damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 + pen

The bear attacks, standing on hind legs the bear roars and then takes a mighty swing with first one paw and then the other!
Attack roll
Paw #1
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Attack roll
Paw #2
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
The first paw misses Eadric narrowly, but the second connect solidly.
Damage roll
1d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
For whatever reason the bear does not grapple Eadric this round....
Round 2!
Torod
Is that with the -2 penalty?
The thunder rolls...
Stormburst: to hit 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 R Touch
Stormburst: damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 + -2 pen to hit for 1 rd
Eadric Cuthwulf
I take it then that I charged (and hit)? Any idea as to everyone's location(s) relative to the bear?
Another hit like that and I'm down...
Eadric fights to stay in the saddle after the mighty swat from the enraged bear.
Ride check (stay in saddle): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (16) - 2 = 14 Success
Keeping his horse under him, Eadric then directs his horse to rear up and kick with it's front hooves in an attempt to injure the crazed bear...
Ride check (Fight with mount): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12 Sucess
Attack #1: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Attack #2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
...before moving back to bring his lance to bear. 5' step
Fighting defensively in an attempt to keep the bear's attention, Eadric lashes out with his lance once more...
Ride check (guide with knees): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0 Success Original roll was an 11 I think (-2) for a result of 9 (Success)
Attack with lance: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10 Original roll was a 15 (-1) for a result of 14
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Current AC: 22
EDIT: Two of my rolls have posted differently than they previewed. I've noted the original rolls beside the two that changed. I'm not sure what happened. I'm going to post some feedback in website thread. Hopefully you'll use my "original rolls"! ;)
Torod
Torod moves closer to Eadric while directing another storm burst at the bear.
Stormburst: to hit 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 R Touch
Stormburst: damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 + -2 pen to hit for 1 rd
KenderKin
Torod's storm energy wraps around the bear. The bear still has a lot of fight left in him!
The smell of both wet and burnt fur hits you at the same time as the lightening subsides from the burst, the bears shacks his massive head flinging water in all directions.......
Eadric Cuthwulf
The bear still has a lot of fight left in him!
o_O ! 32 damage so far and it still has a lot of fight left in him?! That isn't good... not good at all.

attack
1d20 + 5 - (20) + 5 = 25
Good grief! A natural 20? Does anything ever miss me? :(
I'm not sure why I get an AoO but I'm not going to argue. ;)
As the bear charges in, Eadric tries to fend it off with his lance...
Attack with lance: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10 (Still fighting defensively)
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
...but fails to connect and keep the hulking brute from penetrating his defenses. The bear ravages his mount before clamping his jaws down on Eadric's head. Eadric is pulled from his saddle as his horse slips out from beneath him. Both Eadric and his horse fall to the ground bleeding profusely from horrific wounds, slipping into unconsciousness and possibly death...

Trying to avoid Taking over Ellaria a second time....if possible
Ellaria raises her crossbow and lets fly at the angry bear

Current HP 3!
I can not figure it out either statistically you are impossible to hit, and the dice roller likes to make it happen! ;)
Torod
It's Obi's turn now but...
"Obi, move!" Torod says as he moves directly into the path of the crazed bear. He continues to hammer the creature with the power of the storm, trying to keep it off balance as much as possible for as long as possible.
Stormburst: to hit 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 R Touch
Stormburst: damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 + -2 pen to hit for 1 rd

The storm once again racks the bear, hindering its movement and causing damage....
Bear will save
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
The bear stops its charge and appears to be momentarily stunned!

Eadric regains consciousness as a wave of magical musical healing washes over him and his horse. Spying the bear looming over him, and his friends valiantly holding their ground against the crazed monstrosity, Eadric springs back into action.
Eadric jumps to his feet, drawing his sword as he rises, and throws himself at the gigantic bruin with reckless abandon. No longer fighting defensively! :)
Stand from prone (provoking AoO(?), move action), drawing sword (free action coupled with move action), 5' step(?) and attack with longsword (standard action)
Attack with longsword: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 Crit threat!
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Confirm crit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 Confirmed! Oh yeah! And with a 20!
Crit damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
"Die foul beast! May you threaten us no longer!"
EDIT: Maybe my luck is starting to turn? ;)
KenderKin
The bear never sees Eadric nor his sword as the glittering edge slahes midway through the bears neck.
The bear falls in a heap directly in front of Torod and Obi.....
As the beast falls it makes an almost human-sounding sigh of relief,
then collapses in on itself, transforming first into an incredibly old human man with a look of peace in his eyes, and then a moment later crumbling into a skeleton and thence to dust.
At that exact moment, the entire shrine seems to grow more vibrant and colorful. The water in the pool becomes crystal clear....
