Leaving the robot none the wiser that it has been robbed, Gregory silently escapes the cave system, and continues on his way.
Following the edge of the Scar, Gregory comes upon what appears to be another cave...
The rocky wall of the valley rises abruptly, swaths of green mold clinging to the broken surfaces. A few mold-encrusted trees and tangles of brambly undergrowth decorate the region - one particularly large patch nearly obscures a single cave entrance at the cliff base.
Of more interest, however, are the three piles of fungus-encrusted rotting vegetable matter that appear piled haphazardly around the entrance...

A set of six humanoid rib-cages, stained red by ragged scraps of clinging meat and hanging from cords like a grisly row of unlit chandeliers, adorn the ceiling of this widened tunnel. The unmistakable odor of rotting flesh mingles with the fetid stink of the soupy swamp water covering the cave passage's floor.
Closer inspection of the bones reveals that they are are held together by artfully woven plant fiber - someone obviously put a great deal of effort to prepare this macabre ornamentation.
The walls, floor, and ceiling are covered with fetid yellow fungus, which stinks abominably...

Although he finds the stench horrible (and, consequently, immediately activates his Filter Mask), and is a little off-put by the decorations, Gregory still continues on his way, quietly gliding on down the tunnel.

The tunnel widens at this juncture and the ceiling climbs to twenty feet. A few bones, red with traces of gore, are scattered on the lichen-encrusted floor.
As Gregory moves forward to inspect these, The fungus near the ceiling parts, to reveal four unnaturally graceful creatures, each of which has a bulbous fungoid lump for a head, spiny insectoid wings, and a tangle of spiky, clawed legs.
Apparently seeing straight through Gregory's 'ware, they descend upon him!

Chasing after the fleeing plant, Gregory reaches another fork; the plant flies off down the right branch, and Gregory buzzes along after it.
Soon thereafter, the tunnel opens out into a larger chamber.
The ceiling of this cavern yawns thirty-five feet high, with a central pillar of natural rock supporting it. The moldy surfaces of this chamber are spattered red and bones are scattered everywhere.
Gregory's target flees down another corridor, and disappears through a curtain of fungus on the ceiling at the end of it.
Gregory bursts through after it, revealing a chilling sight...
Five tables of strangely flexible metallic-looking fungus have been set up. Each of the tables is spattered with gore. Gathered around one of the tables are another four of the strange plant-creatures, hard at work dissecting an eight-legged, golden-pelted mammal of some kind.
All four look up as Gregory chases the injured one into the room, and buzz with what can only be interpreted as anticipatory delight, as the flex manipulator arms eagerly...

Chasing after the strange creature, the stone corridor opens into a long, dank cavern, the ceiling rising twenty feet overhead. The sound of dripping moisture echoes off mold-covered walls.
Whilst the creature Gregory is chasing barrels through this chamber and down the corridor at its end, four more of the strange plant-creatures unfold themselves from fungal embraces along the walls, and move to attack Gregory!
