"Good morning, Ben!"

As you gather, you spot Lord Rosewood slowly, leisurely, making his way towards you, accompanied by an elf woman dressed in green leather armour and carrying a bow and a large black shaggy dog. He spots you guys and waves cheerfully

Bennevy raises a hand in greeting, and give a short bob of his head as well.

"We are ready to travel, Lord Rosewood."

He turns to the elf, and offers his hand to her.

"Hello, my name is Bennevy Innswell."

"Lord Rosewood, Lady."
Sid do a courteous bow.

"Greetings Lord Rosewood, Lady"
Kiriko bows gracefully.

Lord Rosewood, "Ah you all ready to go?... Oh yes I should introduce you all, this is Amirel, she is going to be our guide"

"A pleasure," Bennevy responds with a friendly smile to Amirel.

"As you say, Lord Rosewood, we are ready."

Greets Mister Lord Rosewood and lady elf, and shaggy dog. Tomid says cheerfully. This is looking like quite and adventure to me already. Does Shaggy Dog ever, er, um, well, does he ever let small folk ride him?

Amirel says coldly "You can't ride the dog"

Ok lady Amirel, I won't try to ride him none, but can I be his friend and maybe pet him sometimes?

"Yes, you can pet him on occasions, but no treats, he is to be kept on a diet"

"What kind of diet?"

"Lean meat and the occasional bone" She says with a smirk

Tomid looks intimidated by the elf but cautiously pets the dog exactly once, looking back to gauge her reaction. Ok. he says. When do we head out and where do you want me in the wagon?

"Well my fellow halfling, wagons will have to wait a bit, the city is a very large place you know, we'll take the train, it'll be 3 days, then wagons"

"What kind of accommodation on the train? 3 days on a wooden bench would be a bit hard. Maybe I should buy a Pillow."

sid smiles.

"Worry not, I've paid for a little luxury" he says with a wink

"Glad we'll have a couple of days of comfort at least before we hit the wastelands," Bennevy says with a tone of gratitude.

The train? Tomid asks, pleasure showing on his face. I've never had the chance to ride on a train.

Lord Rosewood motions you all to start walking with him towards the train station "Well its an experience that is for sure, ah I remember the first time I rode a train, I was a little boy..." and he continues for as long as you let him about his first train ride

So any what do you guys want to do before you go on the train? If anything?

Nothing for me, beside chatting amiably.
Maybe a diplomacy or charisma cheek to get in our employer and Amirel good graces?

Alright, make a diplomacy check to get to their good sides

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Cross fingers.

Bennevy joins in the friendly chat, doing his best to present himself and the group as a pleasant and likable bunch.

Aid Another, Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Kiriko, well aware of lack of conversation skills, sinks into the backgroud, unless spoken to or about.

After a while, of good conversation and talking, you all arrive to the train station, a humongous gothic, cathedral like structure filled by ramps and stairs leading to close to a hundred platforms dispersed around the area. Joyfully after the conversation with Sid and Bennevy, Lord Rosewood motions you towards one of the platforms, towards a green painted train, that seems to be pretty empty given the number of passengers on the platform. "Well be taking this one for most of our journey"

Hmm. I was not getting notices that the game was updating...

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Tomid is particularly charming and is delighted about many aspects of the trip. It seems he is even delighted that the train car is green.

Lord Rosewood starts giving out the tickets to the train "Tomid you will stay in the same room as me, Bennevy and Sid you two are on the next room, and the rest of you, you have the the common bunk down the hall"

"Kiriko is getting the common bunk with Amirel? Is that different from a our room? Maybe Lord Rosewood don't see women as equal to men."

Well its more because you guys made a good impression on him and he's a bit senile so thats why he picked the set like that

Rosewood tells you all to start boarding "Train should be leaving any moment now"

Happily Tomid skips aboard his new belongings, hastily packed, rattling softly in his backpack. Top Bunk. he calls as he heads for his room.

"Oh I wanted the top bunk! Always too slow" says Lord Rosewood dramatically but playfully

Bennevy looks to Sid and shrugs as if to ask What now? He waits until Lord Rosewood and Tomid enter their room and close the door, then proceeds a little ways down the hall toward the room he assigned to him and Sid.

"It feels rather inappropriate to not offer the room to the ladies," he whispers to Sid. "Do you think Rosewood would take offense if we let them have it?"

Kiriko quietly follows the rest of the group. The kunoichi nods at lord Rosewood's room assignment, following Amirel towards the common bunk.

"Let's look how bad is the common bunk and if there is other people in it. I don't want to disobey our boss on day one, but yes, it feel inappropriate."

The common bunk has another two passengers in it, an elderly couple of humans who are at least in their 80s, they seem very frail to be making the journey. Compared to the paid bunks, the common bunks are a bit underwhelming but not bad particularly, just a little bare.

Bennevy looks at the elderly couple, then turns to Sid. "If we offer the room to them, and share the common area with the ladies...surely Lord Rosewood wouldn't object to respecting out elders?"

"We should ask the ladies first, but I like your idea."

Off in the distance you hear a whistle go off, and a few moments later the train starts to move slowly, but it is gaining speed as it goes

After stowing his backpack Tomid joins the others. He climbs up to a window and waves at the people still at the station as the train pulls away. Well, we are off. Off to adventure I'd imagine. And so far I quite like it. The beds are much more comfortable than I had imagined.

Bennevy approaches Kiriko and Amirel.

"I know Rosewood assigned the private room to me and Sid, but we both feel a bit unchivalrous taking it. We thought to offer it to the both of you, so that you would have privacy. We also speculating on offering the room to the elderly couple sharing the common area with you. They don't look like their in condition for a long journey in spartan accommodations. Either way, the only reason Sid and I could use to justify keeping the room for ourselves is if offering it up would offend or upset Lord Rosewood."

"I don't mind the accommodations"

"I have little experience with true nobility, so I can't predict Lord Rosewood's reaction."

Kiriko looks towards Amirel.

it's kinda ironic that Amriel and Kiriko togheter are probably a few decades older than the cuple :)

"I rather stay as far away from Rosewood as I can be" Amirel says

Sid face show surprise

"Why?"

"He never shuts up, I like silence."

Tomid's ears perk up for a moment. Images of vampires flash through his over-active mind but when he hears the issue he laughs to himself. We should get along great.

Bennevy turns to Sid. "Hmmmmm. Maybe we should get more of a feel for Rosewood's personality before we offer the room up to the old folks. We've got time yet before we turn in; enough for a few more conversations with our employer."

"Ah, for a moment I thought he had been ... inappropriate.
I will try to remember your preference."

"If she like silence probably sharing a room with her isn't a great idea. I doubt she would like me."

She should get along well with Kiriko

Alright as the train moves on can you all make a DC5 acrobatics or strength check to avoid being frown down by the moving train, also perception checks
