There is no sign of Sturbridge as Tribulat fills you in "The Chantry is abuzz with activity, much of seeming to stem from some secret task Mistress Sturbridge has undertaken. However, the Ghouls have no idea what exactly is being done, other than they are being kept busy."

Monkeygod |

I would be using incendiary pistol rounds. But I'm not sure what the damage would be.
And I would be backing away. I don't remember how combat works but if I get a move action it is definitely to retreat.
Goddamnit it i'm lazy! now your gonna make me get up n investigate, lol. and what kind of gun?

Monkeygod |

As you look around for somebody to summon Sturbridge, a glowing ball of light a little smaller than a basketball comes bounding down a hallway and stops in front of you "Master Beschi, if you would be so kind, follow this summons globe to my location." The voice of Aisling states.

Monkeygod |

The globe takes you to a rather large room with a massive arcane symbol that is currently pulsing a purplish-red color engraved on the floor. Aisling stands in the center, and there are sigils of power swirling around her. "Ah, Beschi, thank you for coming so quickly. Moridin has agreed to meet with you this very night, as soon as your able to leave."

Thackery |

.44 Magnum revolver.
I figure Thackery would like the classics.
And by incendiary I mean incendiary starburst, not tracing.
http://wn.com/incendiary_ammunition
Starburst has titanium flakes in it that burn at 4000 farenheit and explode around.
Penetration for the bullet is about normal. I would be using a larger than average incendiary round due to the size of my bullets, which are bigger than what that guy on the video is using.

Edgar takes in the night air wraps Lenore into his embrace and does one thing he certainly knows how to do wait for the others who are to come.....
@Lenore
"Do you think the prince is just going to send the next few kindred he encounters on this mission with us? Also do you think he recruited us with those terrible visions you had? I guess I have more questions than answers at this point."
"I had been meaning to ask about kindred and lupines among our people do you think there are some?"
From a distance others see a strange man embracing nothingness and talking to himself.....

Monkeygod |

Once the two of you are both in the circle, the sigils swirling around Aisling expand outward until they surround you and Tribulat as well. A humming sound fills your ears and suddenly, the world feels like its tipping sideways and it seems as if your falling upside down. Finally its over and as you open eyes you didn't realize were shut, you find yourself in a clean, almost sterile, brightly lit room.
Standing between you and the only way out is a tall man who can only be Moridin."Greetings Master Beschi, and welcome to my abode. I have heard much about you."

Monkeygod |

As you fire off your attack, the first bullet jams and explodes, burning your hand slightly. Thankfully it does not damage the gun, and the other two shots go off fine. The bullets speed towards V, who deftly spins and whirls out of their way, avoiding them completely.
She pounces with supernatural speed and in a flash disarms you of your stake. "Sweety, you should really make sure that when you decide to disappear, your opponent can't see you regardless. Now then, are we going to keep this up, or shall we move on to finalizing this deal?"
Take one level of Aggravated dmg, soakable via Fort only from the first round blowing up.

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

"Prince Moridin I presume. I am Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi of Clan Tremere. With me is my faithful ghoul Tribulat. As you well know I am here regarding this parchment that you discovered, I have many questions but as I am your guest please let me answer your questions first".

Monkeygod |

Nope, Fortitude, the Discipline is the only way to soak Agg dmg. Since I do not believe you have Fort, you take one level of Aggravated dmg.
V smiles sweetly "Lovely, glad you finally see things my way. This is what the deal is: travel to reservation with these two others and lend all the assitance your able. If you think you can just tag along and do nothing, be aware that there exists a pack of Garou living on the reservation, and it is likely they you wlll be dealing with.
Once you return, with the relic intact, you will be rewarded as you desire. I would strongly suggest not failing. Do we have an agreement??"

Monkeygod |

Moridin extends his hand and claps your forearm in that ancient of greetngs "Well met Master Beschi. Come, let us depart this room as its sole purpose is to provide an anchor and landing for those traveling via Mistress Sturbridge's Portal Circle." He takes you to the same room he dealt with Edgar earlier that same night and lounging on the dias is Catherine. With an almost flippant wave of his hand he asks to sit and make yourself comfortable. He takes a seat next to his lover.
"Aisling tells me she needed to bring you in to help translate the prophecy which means she wasn't fully able to do so herself. If you are successful, the bulk of her favor will pass to you. What I can tell you is this: the parchment comes from a powerful Baali I slew several weeks back and is written in Ancient Enochian. I know a smattering of that oldest of languages, but most of what I read from that time was with the aid of powerful magicks from my sire. As al-Ashard is currently unavailable to me, I need help. If this is what I think it is, it hearlds the return of the ancient Baali, their Infernalist allies and perhaps their Clan Founder as well. Thus it is incredibly important we translate this"

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

Beschi sits and nods to the Prince's Consort. "I had planned on playing this a bit closer to the vest until I was able to fully translate the document but since it is obvious there is great danger here I will tell you all I know. This document indeed dates back to ancient Enoch. I am able to translate some of the language which discusses a prophecy heralding the return of something sinister but Sturbridge's library does not contain the Rosetta Stone I need for a full translation".
"Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of this situation is why I have gotten involved. Last night two of the neonates in my Chantry had disturbing dreams of fire and damnation. In interviewing them they both said the exact same thing in a language I believe is the very same language written on ths parchment you discovered. "The fires of hell will consume all, none can withstand the inferno. The dark flames will burn away those who oppose us" . Both of these neonates are practitioners of the Lure of the Flames. The progenitor of this path believed that it was a "gift" from God and used it to hunt demons. He immolated himself and numerous demons in his final act of unlife".
"I came to Sturbridge to peruse her library to determine if this quote was related to something, and I found it, in the parchment you have recovered. I also contacted my sire, who was also indisposed, for aid in unraveling this mystery. I am hoping that I will be able to attempt to speak with him in the next few days. If I cannot reach my sire I may need to travel to Europe to find a library which can aid me in completing this translation".

Monkeygod |

"Part of the reason you're unable to fully translate it is because there is an unholy spell clouding the writing. I can pierce it temporarily, thanks to my heightened sense of sight, but in order for you or anybody for that matter to create a total translation, we need to rid the parchment of this foul enchantment. In order to accomplish that, we need a holy relic, held by the Navajo tribe nearby. As time is of the essence, I will be loaning you the skills of my personal driver, Wolfgang. He will transport you to about a mile and half from the reservation and bring you back.
I would greatly appreciate this be a successful diplomatic mission, so I am sending a Malkavian who has ties to the Navajo. He is however, a little more off his rocker than the average Malk, as the loss of his wife during his embrace cost him the only stability and sanity he had, even while alive, so be very careful with him. However, I also know that this could go belly up very easily, which is why I am sending a second Madman with you, one who is a master of the paranoid conspiracy and can handle himself in a fight. Of course, your retainer Tribulat will accompany you as well, and I know he is quite competent with his blade"

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

Beschi looks aghast, "You want this to be a successful diplomatic mission so you are sending me with two madmen? April Fools was a week ago Prince, this hardly seems like a laughing matter. Is there not some Lasombra in your court who could carry me through the shadows if necessary that can aid in this matter?"

Monkeygod |

Moridin eyes, which were a soft pale blue, suddenly harden into a cold ice blue "Yes there is. But she is busy assisting me in other matters. And i'd really rather not draw too much attention to this mission. Also, though it pains me to say this, Catherine's mastery of shadows is incredibly unnatural and therefore her presence would practically gurantee a poor outcome. See the reason I desire this to be a successful diplomatic mission is that there is a pack of Garou living among the Navajo and unlike most of our kind, I try to maintain good, peaceful ties and relations with the Changing Breeds"
is Aura Preception still up? If not roll Precp+Alertness, diff 7. If you get at least 3 successes, you can active Aura as you notice the shift in Moridin's eye color

Monkeygod |

"Excellent, so glad we could be reasonable. Now just hang out in your hotel room and the others should be here shortly. You'll hear them coming, have no fear." and with that odd remark, she's gone. Just like last time as you think back over the meeting you have serious difficulty remembering what she looks like though you can clearly recall the conversation you had and the deal struck.

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

No Aura Perception, I didn't think the Prince would appreciate it.
Perception + Alertness - 7d10 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 9, 4, 7, 10) = 40
Reroll 10 - 1d10 ⇒ 10
Re-reroll - 1d10 ⇒ 6
"Very well, I have dealt with changing breeds before though it was centuries ago and I did not encounter the Garou who I understand are relatively unstable. Hopefully they will recognize this madman as a friend and harbor no ill will towards him. Is there something I can offer them in exchange for this relic, collateral if you will, for a show of good faith that we will return this item?"

Thackery |

When she's gone I'm going to check the area.
If it's clear I'm going to go to the hotel office and use the hard line to hire a taxi. I'm also going to make sure I'm fully armed and my gun is reloaded.
While waiting for the cab I'm going to go to my truck and get a sharp knife, cut myself open, and stuff some of my fragmentation grenades into my guts. Then I'll make some sort of cord and run it through the pins. I'll spend the points to heal the damage and make sure that the cord runs out of my skin.
I'm going to wrap the cord around my left hand and prepare myself to use the grenades and the cord as a sort of dead man's switch, a last resort if you will.

Monkeygod |

Moridin's aura shifts from calm to angry when you question his decision to send the Malks with you.
"Here, give them this, it is my personal signet ring, and they know my honor binds me to return their relic." He hands you ring covered in runic writing that bears a resemblance to Arabic and has a sizable black sapphire set in the middle.

Thackery |

I tell the cabby to take me to a random Wal-Mart, not one in the area.
I'm going to purchase weights, strong cord/rope, and the materials to make a light collapsible box, and a shovel.
If work is needed to make the box I'll head for a small operation mechanics garage, the kind of place I can break into easily, and use their tools to make the collapsible box and weight it enough so that it's easy to handle underwater.
Then I'm going to hire another cab and give however much money I need to to get him to drive me as far as we can safely go in a night that'll give me enough time to dig a hole to get out of the sun with the shovel and use the box and the dirt for cover. We are headed to the nearest coastline.
If I can get to the coast quickly enough I'm going to tie the weights on me and jump in. When sunlight approaches I'll cover myself with the box and just sleep on the bottom of the sea until I wake up.
I'm going to be trying to walk North and slightly East to bypass the continental ridge and go to Greenland.

Monkeygod |

Your able to make your way to a Wal-Mart, grab the supplies you need and assemble your box. You arrive at the New London docks, around 2 am in the morning, the night after your last encounter with V. As you head down to the water, the shadows at it's edge lengthen and deepen. Emerging from them is easily the most amazingly beautiful woman you have ever seen. If you had breath, it would be taken away. Supermodels look ugly in comparison to her. She's wearing a black skirt that comes down to mid-knee, with long, sexy black boots and a dark red strapless top that doesn't leave much to the imagination. Her long hair cascades down her shoulders and as she walks closer you can tell its a dark purple in color.
She stops about ten feet in front of you and in a silken, sexy voice says "Thackery, where do you think your going? You were hired and agreed to do a job, and now your trying to run away? Have you no honor?? I hope we can be agreeable, but I have no problem doing it the hard way"

Monkeygod |

Edgar finds a street vendor and gets a hotdog....
and proceeds to do one of the most disgusting things known to kindred....he eats it...
Edgar, you don't need to keep posting. I know your here, and I will get to you as soon as I wrap up things with Thackery.

Thackery |

Dex+Wits:8d10 ⇒ (2, 6, 7, 6, 3, 9, 4, 2) = 39
(OOC: Lol, you don't understand, he was reluctantly okay with it until she threatened him, and that's the one thing you can't do to him. Now he has a permanent vendetta - he has vowed to one day kill her and this friend she's got who likes to enslave people, because of course that's exactly the kind of person Thackery hates the most, and anyone who'd call that kind of person a friend is not going to be on his good side. His hope, after he found he obviously couldn't kill her, was to run away (after all, he doesn't want to eff over his friends) until he could find or gain enough power to come back and finish the job.
The dead man's "switch" is to just prevent capture, of course. He'd rather die than be a slave if given the choice.)
