Other than the noisy sound of Edgar enjoying his hotdog, the ride back is quiet as each of you ponder what was revealed this night. You arrive back in the city and are ushered once more to Moridin's penthouse. You find the prince reclining in a leather chair, obviously awaiting your return.

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

"It is to you we must credit the success of the endeavor, Grandfather has profound respect for you. He was pleasant and wise beyond the years of a mere mortal. Under the circumstances though I believe we should skip further pleasantries and begin the ritual to remove the veil of darkness from the parchment you discovered, our foes are making their move across the world".
Beschi bows in deference so as to not make it seem that he is ordering the Prince around in his own city.

Monkeygod |

"Yes, it is time to begin the ritual to remove the sorceries protecting the scroll. Head back over to Aisling's chantry and I shall join you shortly, I need to gather a few things before we can begin." With that he gets up and leaves you all standing there.
I am going to email Thackery again to find out if he intends to ever return. We can not continue this game with only two players, so if he can not or does not want to come back we will need to find a third player

Monkeygod |

Yes and Yes! To keep this game alive I will make a secondary character. I will get it ready by Sunday!
I am between Gangrel & Assamite any preference Monkeygod?
Nope, those are two of my favorite clans, though I lean a bit more towards Assamite due to Moridin, lol. Either is awesome though :)

Monkeygod |

For some reason known only to his fractured mind, Thackery balks at going back to the Chantry. Moridin attempts to convince him to just shut up and go, but the Madman just digs in further. Finally, growing utterly fed up with his endless whining and complaing, Moridin has Catherine transport Thackery elsewhere. When asked where, he just replies "Some place incredibly unpleasant to even one of us"
With that he tells you to meet him at the Chantry as he has an important phone call to make.
Enter El Cid, sort of. I'm out right now and on my cell. Once I get home we'll do a mini prelude for Cid, then bring him into the game

Monkeygod |

The three of you quickly make your way over to Aisling's chantry, which appears to be smoking some. There are no flames to be seen, however, so it either never got that bad or they were already put out.

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

"Tribulat be wary, danger may yet lurk here at the Chantry".
Beschi turns to Edgar, "My friend there are many wondrous and dangerous things to behold in this place. Touch nothing unless I say touch it".

![]() |

"Even as you say and even then I may pause, and not touch something, I shall error on the side of caution."
@Lenore
"It was to a fine answer..... no, not a bit confusing....what part was confusing?.....Oh OK"
"Only by your leave will I thouch anything."
@Lenore
"Better?......Well as long as you are pleased."

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

As the group approaches the door Beschi uses Movement of the Mind to open the door so that by the time they reach it, it will be open. Also because he does not want to touch the door in case it is warded.
Spend 1 BP and roll:
Willpower Difficulty 4 8d10 ⇒ (5, 5, 2, 3, 5, 1, 3, 3) = 27

Monkeygod |

The door opens slowly, and as you enter your senses are assailed. You can smell blood, and burning. You can hear distant sounds of shouting and the wounded. You taste death and ash. You feel a definte wrongness.
And yet it is the sense of sight that bears the brunt of this assault: there is a fair amount of destruction, broken down doors, smashed furniture and shelves. Books and various implements are strewn everywhere, scortch marks abound while bodies both human and demonic litter the floor.l
However there is one sight that draws your eyes and attention like a moth to the flame. Standing in the midst of all this chaos, eyes shinning with power and her aura clearly visible is Alsing Sturbridge. While all around her are obvious signs of battle and mayhem, she is calm, serene and surprisingly sexy. Her hair blows in a wind of her own creation, and her hand is claw-like, as she fires bolts of energy at anything hostile.

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

Perceiving that there is still danger Beschi once again calls upon the power of his blood.
Elemental Mastery level 1 Blood Point - Willpower roll DC 4 8d10 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 8, 10, 7, 5, 7) = 46
I allocate all 3 points to Stamina for the 6 round duration.
"I had hoped this would be settled by the time I arrived". Beschi yells towards Sturbridge frowning. "I should have known better". he mumbles under his breath.
Beschi does not advance towards her any closer until she responds, holding up his hand as a signal for his companions to wait.

Monkeygod |

As you speak she fires off another bolt of incandcent energy, which causes a medallion around her neck to glow, and drops a hideious, towering demon with four arms that was lumbering towards you. She pauses and looks to you three "Oh I am sure you would have fared much better were you in charge here, huh Master Beschi? Because you have so much experience battling Infernalists and their minions, right?. Though you may be older, in this I am your superior in all ways." She says destroying another demon.

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

"Perhaps you heard me incorrectly, I was hoping it would be settled so I would not be endangered. Battles are best fought by youth". Beschi smiles at her and chuckles.
If there are any Infernalists threatening me I will grow claws. Otherwise I will simply wait until she tells us it is safe to proceed further and use Path of Blood to lower my Generation. .
Path of Blood (if no threats approach me) 1 Blood Point & Willpower DC 6 8d10 ⇒ (7, 1, 2, 6, 2, 1, 5, 6) = 30 Damn botches, the power if I end up using it, fails.

Monkeygod |

As the powerful Tremere blasts a few more demons, the three of you are assaulted by some minor minions. You are easily able to destroy them however and as the dust settles you see Moridin step out of the shadows behind Aisling. "So Beschi, you think these battles are best fought by the youth, huh?"

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

"Only you can be the judge of whether you are too old or too young Prince Moridin. My existence has spanned the centuries precisely because I have avoided open conflict. Were I you I would not fight unless it was absolutely necessary. I do not believe anything or anyone is worthless especially the young who make sacrifices so that the future may continue. There are some whose value rises above getting on the front lines".

Monkeygod |

"Spoken like a true backroom manipulator, like most Tremere. I usually do not have the time nor the desire to deal with such double talk. You had best get over whatever keeps you from being present on the frontlines, as you may quickly find yourself there, like it or not"
Beschi, can I get a Int+Politics roll? I almost asked you for a Knowledge(local) check, lol

Master Costanzo Giuseppe Beschi |

-7d10 ⇒ -(2, 7, 1, 6, 8, 2, 6) = -32
Beschi frowns at the Prince's rebuke, "I never denied being one who functions best behind the scenes. All of our kind are manipulators Prince. If I had your strength of blood and skill perhaps I would be more willing to destroy my enemies with a naked blade and more forthright in my speech".
Beschi pauses and continues, "Of course Prince Moridin, if you believe my value lies in fighting the thralls of Demons then I shall be on the frontlines. However, I believe you will find it easier to find fighters than scholars who speak several languages. That being said this is your city and if God wills it then perhaps I shall soon discover whether we are truly the Damned. I can only pray that my soul finds the way to My Father and not to the master of these despicable creatures" finishes Beschi gesturing towards the Demon carcasses.

Monkeygod |

Edgar, your effort to touch Aisling's necklace is rebuffed by some sort of shield. She laughs softly however at the attempt "Sorry, only I am able to touch this pendant. But thank you for the compliment, it's been in my family for generations."
Moridin waves aside Beschi's prostrations."We must begin that ritual tonight, the more time we waste, the worse this can all get. Follow me." With that, he heads deep into the Chantry.

"Nor herself but what a way tah be injured."
Lenore
"Edgar shut up this is serious."
"It is most dire of circumstances, forgive me master Beschi I forgot what it was I was doing."
Lenore
"Helping fight demons...."
"Oh dear yes that is correct, I just saw somthing so interesting....I wonder if I might find such a rare peice as that."
