Leto V. Derexhi |

Leto charges by the spider on Blackpaw, trying to skewer her with his lance while riding ot the far end of the cave if possible.
For the glory!
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 132d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 = 13
Ah i just hope that spider is still flat-footed enough^^

Tanith Petrovich |

Tanith moves forward hoping to attack the creature.
If Tanith can reach the spider with 20 foot move he attacks. If not he closes the range with a double move (40 feet)
bastard sword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 for damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5.
edited because I realized as soon as I hit the submit button that what I wanted to do wasn't legal, ... for more than one reason

In Round 2
Leto charges the spider in the dark his wolf makes an amazing charge and he skewers the spider splitting its guts open and skewering a large, for its type of creature, maggot killing it. He continues the charge past the spider getting into a flanking position. What looks to be a swarm of them surge out of the body.
Tamael moves closer so he is bout 20' from the spider with grease ready(do you want to cast it before the maggots move?)
Tessara slings her bow over her shoulder and draws her curved elven blade and moves up 5 feet.
Tanith moves up 40' so that he is close enough to shed his light upon the spider. What you through was a swarm is in fact just a few large maggots
Niesen moves up 40' keeping close to Tanith's light spell.
Dolek moves up 60' getting right next to the maggots.
The three others with you advance 20' this round.
Horgus has fashioned a crude sling and has a few stones for it in his hands.
There are 9 Giant Maggots that swam out of this Spiders corpse. You can tell at this point that it has been long dead.
1 Dolak
2 Leto
3 niesen
4 Tanith
5 Tamael
6 Tessara
7 Anevia
8 Horgus
9 The old Elf
Maggot 1 Chooses1d9 ⇒ 6 Moves 10' Towards Tessara
Maggot 2 Chooses1d9 ⇒ 4 Moves 10' Towards Tanith
Maggot 3 Chooses1d9 ⇒ 6 Moves 10' Towards Tessara
Maggot 4 Chooses1d9 ⇒ 4 Moves 10' Towards Tanith
Maggot 5 Chooses1d9 ⇒ 7 Moves 10' Towards Anevia
Maggot 6 Chooses1d9 ⇒ 2 attacks Leto [1d20 ⇒ 13 Biting for: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Maggot 7 Chooses1d9 ⇒ 1 attacks Dolak 1d20 ⇒ 17 Biting for: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Maggot 8 Chooses1d9 ⇒ 6 Moves 10' Towards Tessara
Maggot 9 Chooses1d9 ⇒ 4 Moves 10' Towards Tanith
Those of you within melee range get your attacks of opportunity as dex/feats allow on any of the maggots moving past you.
We will use the same initiative for the whole round. Niesen, I had you take 10, if you wish to roll you are welcome to.
All Please start each round in combat with any attacks of opportunity from the previous round. Then do your normal actions for the round. I will apply the AoO's retroactively, just call your maggot by #.

Dolok Kadarn |

A few minor items - Dolok is wearing Breastplate, meaning he could only move 40', not 60' :-( And secondly, since he did not charge, I believe his AC is 20, so even if he was close enough, the maggot missed. Finally, without a map I can only assume that I get at least 1 AoO (for those going towards targets behind me - i.e. Tessara, Anevia), is that correct?

![]() |

I don't know any of your armor classes, I will roll all attacks that hit 10 or higher ac with damage, you don't need to take the damage if your armor will protect you. I am used to rolling both at the same time as we do at the home tables to speed things up when you have 7-12 players, every few seconds helps I should have a map tomorrow.. reorganizing my comp area to let me put up a small card table to keep track of stuff.:))
Maggot 7 moves 10' closer to Dolak (it is 10' from you at start of round 3 as are all the other maggots heading to the others.

Tanith Petrovich |

"Nothing gets to the rear" Tanith moves forward to block the path to the rear and attacks a maggot comming right at him. bastard sword attack on maggot #2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 for damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 and then swings his sword at a maggot trying to move by him AoO attack on maggot #7: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 for damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Tanith uses a whetstone to hone his blade so his first hit since his last use of the whetsone does +1hp of damage

Dolok Kadarn |

Thanks for the clarification, makes sense. In order to be fair, I will consider that my previous roll was AoO for this round, so that misses completely :-(
Dolok moves forward to meet the onslaught head-on, positioning in such a way to try and prevent approach to the persons behind him. He swings his scimitar at the creature in front of him, trying to deflect any incoming blows with his shield.
Move action - move 10 feet forward
Scimitar attack vs Maggot 7: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Potential dmg: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Leto V. Derexhi |

Leto would turn Blackpaw around and take a look, then charge by a maggot that endangers one of his less martial companions. If not possible he would charge by another one so he ends his move far away enough to charge again next round.
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 172d6 + 8 ⇒ (3, 1) + 8 = 12

Tessara Bereleniel |

Tessara charged the closest maggot to her, regretting not allowing Valor to share her mind. She may need the spirit's prowess in the coming fight. No time to fret over it now though, the elven battle maiden thought as she swung her curve blade down in a vicious arc.
Mwk Elven Curve Blade: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Terrible.
Unfortunately, her thoughts must have distracted her, as she swung too wide of the disgusting larvae, leaving herself exposed to an attack.

In round 2.
Tanith attacks a maggot and kills it, also slaying a maggot as it tries to move past him.
Dolok too swings at a maggot and slays it.
Niesen moves and knocks out a maggot.
Leto turns and charges one of the maggots slaying it.
Tamaell manages to catch four of the 5 remaining maggots with his grease spell.
Tessara swings at the one maggot that got out of the grease but misses.
1-4 trapped in the greese, spend this round moving out of its effect. Everyone except for Leto can take an AoO at them.
Maggot 5 chooses Targets : 1d9 ⇒ 7 Anevia for its target and moves towards her It attacks Aneva: 1d20 ⇒ 20 Biting her Critically in the leg for: 1d6 ⇒ 2x2 points of damage, but you can hear the crunch of her leg breaking, as she falls to the ground in pain. The old elf stumbles and falls on top of the maggot, there is a flash of light and the maggot is no more.

Tanith Petrovich |

Tanith moves to where he can attack a maggot trying to get out of the grease and swings at it. attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 for damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Edit I forgot about the AoO so ... In a state of fury he slams his blade at another maggot attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 for damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Niesen Kurch |

Niesen moves if he has to, 5-foot step maximum, trying to stay flanking with a maggot?
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 +2 if flanking
Non-lethal damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 plus 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 if flanking
If it helps get a flank, he's also willing to delay until after somebody else moves, directing them with his staff as he concentrates on the maggots in front of him. Even better, he can ready a step and swing for when somebody moves into a flank, so that both of them get the flank. Whichever strategy works best, depending on the layout of people and maggots.

![]() |

In round three, you guys managed to killed all but one of the remaining maggots. between all of you, you make short work of the last one, though it does strike out randomly before it dies.
it chooses Tamaell because it is upset about your grease: 1d9 ⇒ 5Bites: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (7) - 2 = 5 missing horribly dies just about as ingloriously as a maggot can do so.

Niesen Kurch |

Yay! We killed maggots! Are we mythic yet? ;)
Niesen steps away from the remains of the maggots, pausing to coup de grace the one he just knocked unconscious, then regrets it as the end of his staff goes right through the disgusting creature. He looks around for something on which to clean his staff. He starts to use a bit of cloth from the ground until he realizes it was a shirt still attached to a towns person and stops. He considers his own boot for a moment, then gives up and stands there looking helpless as maggot gore drips from his weapon.

Tanith Petrovich |

Tanith pats Niesen on the shoulder "Good job, I think there's some rags I use to clean my armor my backpack. Let's go check." He then walks over to Anevia and kneels next to her. "Let me take a look." He speaks firmly "Use my hands, my leige, that this warrior may return to battle wickness."
trade a bless for cure light wounds cure: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7.

Looking around and taking stock of things after the battle. The old elf is blind, the human female is still slightly wounded and her leg is broken. Looks like the two of them will be helping each other out as you travel. The elf helps her to set it and bind it, but shes going to have to walk on it to get out of here. As you explore this large room you are in you find that it is roughly 100' around with one exit going one direction, you think east.
if anyone interested wants to roll some perception checks you may be able to salvage some useful supplies in this cavern.

![]() |

As you are poking around the room, you do actually find something. ontop of the spider, infact it is it what had killed the spider, is a few small golden scales, that must have been knocked off the dragon in the battle with the Storm King and fallen so far down so quickly they went right through the spider like a bullet through a piece of paper. All in all there are nine scales that you find, and funny enough nine of you as well.

Tessara Bereleniel |

Tessara reached down to pick up one of the scales. As she examined it, she recalled the wyrm Terendelev, the great symbol of the Crusade. Now she was laid low, murdered by a horror from the Abyss. The thought made her blood boil. She could feel Valor surging back in to her conscious mind and this time, Tessara didn't resist.
She shuddered as shimmering, ethereal chainmail covered her body. The faint icy blue in her eyes grew bright, almost casting light like a lantern.
When she spoke, her voice had changed as well. It was harder now, blunt and devoid of any inflection. "Let us continue. The longer we linger, the more we are removed from the defense of Kenabres."
How big are the scales?

![]() |

Looking at the scales in your hands it appears to be about 3" by 2" they may have been tail scales or something of the sorts. As you touch the scales and choose which one you will take. You feel a portion of that ancient wyrm Terendelev's powers flow within you.
If you could all roll 1d00 we will find out which of her powers she has gifted to you.
Anevia 1d100 ⇒ 69 She think she now has the ability to Cloud Walk twice a day.
Horgus 1d100 ⇒ 64 He also thinks that he has the ability Cloud Walk twice a day.
The old elf1d100 ⇒ 12 Thinks that his scale will allow him to send a Message once a day.

Leto V. Derexhi |

Perception: 1d100 ⇒ 76
Leto dismounts for a moment, taking up a scale too and watching it thoughtfully.

![]() |

Tanith you now have the ability to cast Heal once per day.
Niesen you now have the ability to cast Sacred Weaponry twice a day.
Leto you now have the ability to cast Resistance twice a day.
Dolak & Tamael still need to roll.
Each of you as you hold the scales and they bind themselves to you are filled with a soft golden glow that settles into you like pixie dust almost covering you.. The glow fades after a few moments, but the finaly gift of that Great Wyrm to you is this.

![]() |

My times per day is wrong I apologize. Leto, Niesen its 6x per day for you guys, 1 for the more powerful effects.
Six times per day as a standard action,
The scale can be used to cast align weapon, but only to make a weapon lawful or good. Unlike a normal align weapon spell, this effect can be cast on an unarmed strike or natural weapon.
Resistance: Three times per day as a standard action, The scale can be used to cast resist elements-but only against electricity or cold.

![]() |

Tamaell : Six times per day as a standard action, The scale can be used to cast alter self. While disguised, the target gains a +4 bonus on all Bluff checks made against evil creatures.
IF you are interested in what else the scales may have granted you. See my post in this About halfway down the page is the 1-100 table I came up with.

Tanith Petrovich |

Tanith still has light cast on his sheild. I'd rather be in front, but if I take rear I'll be in a better position for the light source, to channel healing or cast spells, and if something comes out of the dark at the back of the party, I'm well armed and armored. So I guess I'm in the back unless someone has a better idea. Oh I have +7 to perception
