It's been a decent walk, and a decent length of time since Clarice stopped drinking. She is basically sober, but is not in a very good mood. She stands with a sour expression on her face, leaning against the doorpost behind Fauhra

Fauhra looks ot Clarice, her eyes still glowering. "What you want to do first? Make Gatekeeper see foolishness of way, or help Moira?"

"Moira can go suck a lemon." Clarice replies stepping next to Fauhra, "So what did you have in mind for the gatekeeper."

Fauhra looks the house up and down. "Smash window, gain entry. Stun wife. Bring her with for jail." She shrugs. "I warned him."

The door of the gate tower doesn't stand the attacks very long. It is torn apart and behind a stack of crates comes into view that is used to block the door.

After an our of cursing and wild tree choping Karthus created a glade in the woods. He hasn't calmed down yet but he's able to control himself to not chop Fauhras head next, so he returns to the sheriffs office with some wood in his arms hoping for Moira to be there.

"Sounds like a plan." Clarice replies

"Use scythe for window, please?" Fauhra asks Clarice.

"Hmmkay..." Clarice says stepping up to the window and swinging her scythe through the glass easily.

Even before all the glass has finished tinkling to the floor, Fauhra jumps through and is looking for the Gatekeeper's wife.

Bolouisia start screaming as Fauhra jumps through the window and Denton steps between the two. "Leave my house!" he demands in a whiny tone.

"Sorry," Fauhra says to Denton as she makes to move past him, once again showing her open palms and the fact she wields no weapons. "I tried to give warning."

Denton tries to push Fauhra away.

I acted it that jumping through the window and moving past denton was 1 turn, 2 move actions, and then the attack is my second turn

Moira rolls her eyes as she notices Fauhra and Claraice's side quest, when the glass breaks. She moves over to make sure no one dies.

Denton's wife keeps screaming and flees into the next room.
Denton grabs some kitchen tool and moves into the door of the next room to keep Fauhra from reaching his wife.

Fauhra steps up to Denton and hits him with a flat palm and then her elbow in quick succession.

"Perhaps you now see why is important to keep gate closed?"

Moira leaves the scene and goes to check on the entrance of the gate house again. She pushes the boxes away and steps inside.

The single room inside the tower’s base is drafty. The interior of the tower is completely open between the stone floor and the flat wooden roof 20 feet overhead, interrupted only by supporting crossbeams and a well-used ladder that ends at an open hatch. The pulley mechanism controlling the gate is situated in the southern wall, but the ropes have been cut, making the mechanism useless.

Seeing that this has been sabotaged, Moira commands her undead to close the gate and guard it. Then she leaves, going into town.

Willow, being bored checks on Fauhra and how her sidequest of teaching the gate keepers goes. She tries to send the woman to sleep, but Bo Gramel resists and keeps crying at the side of her husband.

Moira visits the Gield's General Store and buys a thick chain and a good lock from Olla Gield. Then she moves back to the gate where her two undead minions wait and slings the chain around the bars of the two halves of the gate, two or three times. Lastly she puts the padlock on the chain and locks it.
"Wonderful." Moira states, orders her minions to come along and leaves.
"I'm at my office if you need me." she calls over to Fauhra, Willow and Clarice.

Karthus arrives past Moira and even though he is not the mood to talk he comes to Moira and asks: "Wanna fulfill your part in this deal with the devil? We could arrest some rebels and do public execution to draw attention of all. Got any ideas?"

"I already suggested to pull one of those Iomedeans out of the temple for showing around that helm and advertising the rebellion." Moira replies. "Question is, are we strong enough to face them openly."

"Then he shall play something on his instrument or whatever. I'm going for a nap in my office." Moira tells and slouches into the armchair in the sheriff's office.

Willow helps Fauhra to subdue Bolouisia Gramel and together they bring her to the prison. To be nice she is put in the cell with the bard and not with the bodies of Ilvara and Caggan.
"Looks like you're planning for a lazy day." Willow comments on Moira and Karthus.

Karthus Goes to the cells and kicks on the door to get the bards attention. "Play some music and I won't let you starve to death."
After the bard began to play on his instruments, Karthus goes to the general store, buys a shovel and returns to the office. But he doesn't want to wake Moira so he plans to bury the corpses tomorrow.

The bard comes out of his lethargy back into a healthy fear and starts fumbling with his instrument. After a few moments it starts sounding like music.

Willow is no one to pressure issues. And so she looks where she could comfortably idle away the day.

To follow the orders of the Archbaron, Moira does a patrol with all who want to come along through town, to show presence.
As it gets dark she takes her place in the comfy armchair in the sheriff's office again and nods off.

Once the night is advanced enough to start some secret mission the door to the building opens 'silently'. Two figures sneak into the building. They quickly move through the dark main room, almost stumbling over the furniture and move on to the corridor with the cells. Through another door that is not exactly silent.
Once at the cell door with the prisoners in, they stat with some tools to work on the lock. The bard calls out "Who's there?" followed by a "shhhhhh!"
Stealth: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6

Fauhra brings the gatekeeker's wife to the jail with Willow, where she locks her up. During her patrol with Moira, she discusses how the wife acts as an example of how people will be punished if they don't comply with rules, and asks Moira's input on what conditions should be met before she's released again, while tring to looks intimidating to any passersby.
Intimidation: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Obviously, her preoccupation with the discussion with Moira, and no real target to intimidate, isn't doing much to make this woman look especially intimidating.
She acknowledges the night mission and goes to sleep herself, expecting Moira will explain more once they are actually ready to go, as she hears stumbling through the room she's sleeping in.

Quietly she sits up and then walks up after the two men.

Karthus is bored all night since he can't sleep and as these brothers come in, he leans against the bar and waits until they are in the cellroom. Waits a little more but then comes in without caring much about being silent and closes the door to not let his prey flee.

One of them casts light to see what they are facing. "Uhm..."
Seeing a talking skeleton and Fauhra blocking both exits, they slowly get up with their hands raised in surrender.

Fauhra leans against the doorpost, folding her arms over eachother. "This no fun, when both surrender instantly. I had hoped for sports."
She looks over to Karthus. "When did you get reasonable, giving chance of surrender?" Her wide smile indicates she's making a joke.

Karthus doesn't care to answer Fauhras question since it never helped him at all.
Instead he takes everything that could help the brothers to break out, leads them in the cell with the bard and wakes up Moira to tell her: "There is no need to steal any clerics from Iomedae, Iomedaes followers came to help us."
