Skeletal Minion_ |

Ilvara's skeletal minion also attacks again - swinging its sword at the great creature in front of it
Rapier: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
But the pressure of many people around it that do not share the fighting style of its sisters in arms disorient it too much to land the blow

Fauhra Opal |

Fauhra steps over to the dying creature, rolling it onto it's back with her foot. "You hit little girl." she says, though its unlikely to hear her. She doesn't mention Karthus, indeed expecting him to be a mindless minion.
"I make sure you not do that again."
She puts her foot on Caggan's throat, and then leans into it. A sick crack can be heard, and a last gurgling sound from its throat.
She turns to Clarice with a big smile on her face again. "Not matter that it struck first blow. Just make sure, you strike last."

Ilvara Kaelmourn |

Ilvara slightly raises an eyebrow at Fauhra's actions, and the rather gross sound that came from Caggan. She recalls her minion to her side.

Ilvara Kaelmourn |

Ilvara, meanwhile, instructs her minion to carry the corpse with a simple "Dr'kluth", before having it follow her into the prison.

"Bony" Karthus |

Karthus touches his chest and realizes most of the bones there are gone. He collects them during the conversation and after the conversation is over, Karthus walks to Moira with his bones in the right hand and tells: "I need some healing, this dumb swine hurt as hell!"

Now with no one around to make a hassle anymore the night passes peacefully. Not much to be afraid of, if you're the bad guys AND occupy the position of sheriff - or at least make sure no one else takes up the position.
With the morning sun, life comes back to town. But with the new rules there are some issues. First thing is, that quite some people need papers from Notary Brackenbol. But as their is no gathering of more than six or twelve people allowed they can't form a queue in front of his office. This causes quite some quarrels about who is allowed to go next.
~~~
A good time into the morning some guard from the northern gate comes to inform you that a hobgoblin without the papers needed demands entrance into town to rest and resupply, calling on a history of working for House Thrune as a mercenary.
Ilvara Kaelmourn |
Ilvara answers the guard, having prepared her spells earlier, and looks the guard up and down. "You come interrupt us for... a hobgoblin. What proof does he have to show his allegiance to house Thrune?"
Moira Morrigan |
Moira is waken up by the sun on her face. She sets her holy symbol on the desk in front of her. It's a mask, half black, half white. There she does her prayer time, preparing for the day.
Once she is done with that, she pays Caggan a visit and cast gentle repose on his corpse. "To keep you fresh for later use." she tells him. Not that he'd pay attention.
~~~~~~~
Walking up to Ilvara she asks "We got a visitor already?"

Ilvara Kaelmourn |

Ilvara stares at Moira for a moment, her face remaining a neutral slab without expression.
Long seconds pass before she answers "Or operatives that have been on missions further away, so that they have been out of contact for a while."
She starts walking towards the gate, right past the guard, before adding, ...But still remaining loyal."
Almost as an afterthought, a skeleton comes out of the shadows and hurries to fall into step with her.

Foxy Quickpaw |

As Ilvara arrives at the gate she finds a fuming Hobgoblin who calls the guards names for not letting him in on some ridiculous reason, that he would need papers first that he can only get in town. The hobgoblin looks civilized enough. He might even have bathed during the last week. He wears a breastplate, and is fully armed. All his belongings of fine make.
The guards repeat their orders with a smirk, and tell him to shut up and leave already, but they don't dare to attack him yet.

Ilvara Kaelmourn |

Ilvara strides up to the gate and positions herself behind the guards, watching them interact with the Hobgoblin silently. Her regal dress and posture make no attempt to hide her authority here, though.
As does the minion in full, if broken, battlegarb that follows her.

Foxy Quickpaw |

The hobgoblin ignores the guards and turns to Ilvara instead. "Ma'm. I'm Zaggar of Vulture Crag, and have served as a mercenary for the Duke of Remesiana in the past, and I'm returning from Isger to serve there again. And I know these are times where the nobility will need all loyal help they can get."
"And I don't see why all of a sudden I'm no longer allowed into town to rest and resupply. I demand entrance!"

Ilvara Kaelmourn |

Know:Nobility: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Kendra looks at the hobgoblin with disdain. "You serve Queen Abrogail then?"

Moira Morrigan |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Moira turns to go into town again. "Wait for me." she tells Karthus.
She walks straight to the office of Notary Brackenbol, near to the Sheriff's. She enters the house, cuts the line, puts her hands on his desk leaning close and demands "I want a paper for Zaggar of Vulture Crag to enter town. Now."
She ignores the muffled talking and bickering behind her back and stares at the notary until he hands the document over.

Barrister Gustav Kaple __ |

Notary Brackenbol is highly offended by such an attitude. I have a good standing with Archbaron Fex and don't have to bear such insolence! he thinks. But out of his mouth comes "Of course, I'll do it immediately." and he grabs a new parchment to quickly write out the demanded letter of passage. Adding some seal wax, pressing the ring into it and powdering the parchment not to smear, he hands it to Moira. "Here you are."
He'll be angry at himself for not standing up to her, for the rest of the day. I'll send a strong worded note about that insolent person to the Archbaron. he lives out his thoughts about revenge in his head.

Moira Morrigan |

"Thank you very much." Moira replies with a smile as she accepts the letter. She can be nice. There is just no point to it.
She moves back to the North-Gate to see if there was some progress in the conversation between Ilvara and the Hobgoblin. She takes up her former place, leaning at the gate, the parchment in hand clearly visible.

Ilvara Kaelmourn |

Ilvara casts a quick spell to make sure this isn't an ill-advised attempt to infiltrate using an alter self spell (Detect magic), which gives her eyes a distinct inner glow.
"Pay no attention to these cretin." She says as she casts her hand in the guard's general direction. "They serve well as a rudimentary screening position, but they lack the general acuity to process anything other than the most basic of conundrums."
I'm sure the hobgoblin/guards has/have some time to reply before Moira returns, so I don't want to react on her return yet

Foxy Quickpaw |

From the tone of Ilvara and here gesture the guards can tell that she insulted them. But they don't understand half of the words she used for it. Must be that they are dumb. But as they themself fetched Ilvara to solve this issue, they have a hard time pointing out their competence and only mutter something under their breath.
The Hobgoblin smirks with a side-glance at the guards. "That means I can finally get into town?" he inquires as Ilvara didn't touch that topic yet.
