Ok, so im going to hammer out some details here before we get started. i have approved all your profiles but i want to know how you all came together in Wati. are you a group here to hit it rich or how did you all meat and form your group. Also, i would like a cool group name for you guys to use in game. soon as this is hammered out ill open gameplay
Kyrus Vincenzo |
Kyrus enters the room above the tavern at the pre-agreed time. Holding his holy symbol under his robes to seek the Grey Lady's blessing in what is to come, he clears his throat to introduce himself.
However before he can do so, the room's only other occupant, a smartly-dressed halforc, rushes out, muttering about needing to learn skills !
Sighing, Kyrus settled watchfully in the corner, and waited. Pharasma was nothing if not a patient God. Death awaits us all in the end.

Akbari Radjziic |
Hello all! I am excited about this AP!
Akbari is native to the region, and could have been hired as a guide by someone potentially for meeting, or could know other natives as well.
Caius Jeggare |
Hello everyone. Glad to be a part of this!
Caius has lived in Wati for a few months, more recently he would be searching to join a group to delve into the dead city, looking for antiquities to sell. Looking to get his hands dirty for once.
He is a Half-Elf with Chelaxian heritage and clearly not from around Wati. Caius is adorned with the finest weapons and armor and a regal outfit made of fine black silk, with small rubies for buttons, and elaborate red embroidery.
Otherwise what should we call ourselves?
Rashim Shehadeh |
Hello everyone! Rashim is also a native to Wati, an orphan who grew up in a group home in the Veins. He is a telekineticist with a particular knack for dealing with traps, and enjoys exploring tombs. He is a follower of one of the ancient gods, Khepri, a trickster god of the common folk.
As to how he became involved in the group, I could see him seeking out a group to go with him to explore the Necropolis, offering up his rather unique mental talents along with his knowledge of the region and ability to find and deal with traps.
I have no preference on group name.
Akbari Radjziic |
I am seriously thinking of changing my Campaign trait as we have so many people that handle traps now.
Group Name Suggestions (not good ones, just trying to get the ball rolling):
-Deathwatch(ers)
-Tombsweepers
-Cryptsweepers or Cryptcleaners
-Noble Intent
-Dark Delvers
-Lightbringers
-Torchbearers
-Trinket Finders
-The Treasure Laden (lol hopeful thinking)
-The Desert Sons
Marius Vorloren |
Marius Vorloren |
Sorry everyone for the delay in getting Marius updated but I've been dealing with a family emergency and have been busy with that. My 88 year old Father-in-Law has been diagnosed with colon cancer and we have been consulting with doctors about treatment options.
Marius should be ready but I'd like the GM to go over him and see if I've missed anything though.
Marius Vorloren |
No, I'm good. The problem is that he lives in Champaign IL and we're in Schaumburg (about a 2 1/2-3 hour drive) to make Dr appointments. My wife is going down and back tomorrow, which makes for a long day.
Marius Vorloren |
Marius, i assume the +1 by your weapons is your strength? other then that, add your weight limits and your good to go :)
Yes. If it was magic Herolab puts the plus before the weapon, then the to hit bonus after it.
Dr. Hibbins |
Hibbins' Heroes.
Gorgeous George's Grand Gang.
Dr. Hibbins and the Acidic Mayhem.
Names, we don't need no stinking names.
Team Tomb Raider Force Go.
Also, how does everyone feel about Marius having tracked each of us down to help him? I figure he is the charisma face so he can find each of us. He could find the good doctor deep in his cups in a tavern.
Caius Jeggare |
The Dust Devils
Company of the Scarab
The Gilded Guild (this is my favorite)
Seekers in the Sand
The Guild of Noble Delver's
I'd be fine with Marius being the glue that get us all together.
Rashim Shehadeh |
Rashim would be all about referencing Scarabs, as the sacred symbol of Khepri. I could go with Company of the Scarab, or The Sand Scarabs, or something like that.
Also, I'm fine with Marius being the gatherer of the group.
Caius Jeggare |
So how about this. Each of us votes for two names we like. Then we total the highest and use it?
My votes would be for:
The Gilded Guild
or
Company of the Scarab
Marius Vorloren |
Marius' Marauders
Scorpion's Sting
Lions of Wati
Akbari Radjziic |
Lol! First off, let's all agree we aren't taking a name with one of the PC's names in it (ie Marius Marauders, Hibbins and the whatever). =P
The Sand/Sun Spiders or Sand/Sun Scarabs.
The Desert's Children
Kyrus Vincenzo |
Hmm. Kyrus observes that everyone is shouting out two names which don't overlap with anyone else's...His votes would be for 'Lions of Wati', or 'Sand Scarabs'.
Kyrus would have offered his services to the group, suggesting that since the Church of Pharasma is running the lottery, it might...help matters if an alcolyte of the Grey Lady was being cut in for a 1/6th share of the treasures. Plus (resting his hands on the hilt of one of two wickedly-large kukri knifes in his belt) he brings certain...talents to the group as well.
Kyrus Vincenzo |
Hey GM, can you pls set up the gameplay page, so that we can 'dot' it and the campaign will show up on our profile pages?
Thanks
Akbari Radjziic |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
And for those who aren't aware, you can post in the gameplay thread and then delete your dot post and it will still count for adding it to your Campaigns - which I found out accidentally heh.
Marius Vorloren |
Looks like the "Sand Scarabs" is a winner.
Although I personally prefer "Marius' Marauders". Just because.
Caius Jeggare |
Looks like its time for The Sand Scarabs to get rich or die trying.
Kyrus Vincenzo |
Guys we need to agree a marching order for a standard 10' corridor, and a procedure for checking for traps and listening at doors. Who does what as standard. It'll save a lot of time (and maybe pain!) if we agree it up front.
Regards marching order, Kyrus could be front row or second row. He's no slouch at combat but lower on hp.

Rashim Shehadeh |
I have plenty of hps, but prefer to not be engaged in melee whenever possible. I have a +9 at disable device, and starting at level 2 I will be able to unlock locks and disable traps at a distance of 30ft, which is nice to avoid setting things off.
Regarding marching order, I would do well either as a scout ahead of the group, or as rear guard if walking all together.
Akbari Radjziic |
Akbari is fine with ranged or melee, and probably prefers melee slightly, so I'm fine with being near the front. He is not a trapfinder, however.
Caius Jeggare |
In regards to marching order, Caius would serve best near the front.
Kyrus Vincenzo |
Re. marching order, how about:
- Front rank: Caius and Akbari
- Second rank Hibbins and Kyrus.
- Rearguard: Marius and Rashim.
Scouting ahead: Rashim.

That sounds good to me.
Also just a small thing i noticed Kyrus.
You don't have Two-Weapon Fighting so the penalties for dual wielding would be -4(Primary Hand) and -8 (Offhand).
I thought I would mention it before we get to a combat encounter so that maybe you could swap a feat for it.
Kyrus Vincenzo |
Good spot! Now deleted obsolete 'Dodge' in feat section. No stats changed; AC was already correct.

Kyrus Vincenzo |
Hey GM: do you wanna post the marching order in the 'campaign' tab, so we have it as a reference?
Also, is it me or has the Paizo website been going up and down for days?
Caius Jeggare |
It's not just you. The site has been s%~& for the last week or so.
Kyrus Vincenzo |
It's not just you. The site has been s#@~ for the last week or so.
I don't know what kind of volumes they're dealing with, but I can't imagine this is a high volume website to maintain. It's a bit sh*t.
Although to be fair, that's just Kyrus' opinion, and as a warpriest of Pharasma from the Twice-dead city of Wadi, Osirion, he's no expert on web architecture or support.
Akbari Radjziic |
Oh, sunrise TODAY the gates open? The speech made it sound like it would be tomorrow.
Edit: Ah. I see what you did there, you speeder-upper of things. lol
