I'm good to move on.
My week (and weekend) is going to be busy because of the 4th bringing family to town, so I've been phoning in posts, but moving on is fine if the shrine is cleaned up. How much more 'daylight' would we normally have?

You mean in terms of time before the party needs to stop for an 8-hr rest? Plenty, actually, as you've only been moving for about 3 hours, tops.

"Sarah" |

Right, I was wondering how long cleaning up the shrine took us. Sounds like it was a quick job.

GM Ahnuld |

Traveling from one part of Canada to another, bot me if needed. I will be back tomorrow.
I'll probably just run your turn after Belg goes.

GM Ahnuld |

Sorry about the delay, and expect some sporadic positing for the next week and a half. Travel is proving to be less internet-conducive than I originally thought.

GM Ahnuld |

Okay, is anyone still here? Its been 10 days since anyone besides Belg has posted, so I'm starting to wonder if people have just lost interest in the game.

![]() |

Sorry, I have been working on getting my son back to college. we hit the road tomorrow after all week of getting things in order, packing stuff up, working on schedules, etc.
Tomorrow we arrive in NYC and start off loading stuff.
BTW does anyone have am extra $65,000 laying around and want to donate it to a worth while cause just let me know.

GM Ahnuld |

Sorry, I can't tell the difference between "Not posting because you don't want to do anything right now" and "Not posting because you've lost interest in the game".

very true, and again I apologize. I am still interested and will strive to do better.

GM Ahnuld |

Just as a heads up, I'm going to keep botting Sarah until you guys at least get to the surface, mostly because there's no practical way to introduce a new character here without them being a mongrelman. We'll deal with getting a replacement cleric then.

Eldric Lightbringer |

"And with that, congratulations on reaching level 2! A quick reminder on how I do HD rolls--take half of your HD as HP and then roll a dice for the remainder. I.e. a D10 class HP roll is 5+d5, a d8 class is 4+d4, etc."

You can sell things to the Mongrelmen here. They have gold coins and will give you market prices, and have a selection of some magical items if you can afford them.

GM Ahnuld |

Actually, can everyone post what they've gained by leveling up on this thread for my reference? I want to be fully caught up on everything before you guys start your first mega-dungeon!

Elemental Whispers - Level 1; Burn 0 - You form a friendship with a fragment of your element. The element speaks back to you empathically, like a familiar. Pick a type of creature usually allowed as a familiar when you gain this wild talent. You gain the Alertness feat and the special abilities granted by a familiar of that type. As a standard action, you can give the voice of the element the body of such a creature, using elemental matter of the appropriate element within 30 feet. As long as you concentrate, the familiar can take actions as a normal animal of its type, and it can move any distance away from you, though if it takes any damage or you cease concentrating, it returns to your mind. You lose Alertness while the familiar is manifested in this way. The familiar gains abilities as usual for a familiar of its type, though it never gains the ability to speak with animals of its kind.
Flesh of Stone - Level -; Burn 0 - Your skin hardens like stone, dampening the impact of most attacks. You gain DR 1/adamantine. This DR increases by 1 for every 2 kineticist levels you possess beyond 2nd. By accepting 1 point of burn, you can increase the DR by 1 until the next time your burn is removed, to a maximum DR equal to your kineticist level. Whenever you accept burn while using an earth wild talent, the energy surging through you causes your damage reduction to change from DR/adamantine to DR/— for 1 round. You can dismiss and restore this effect as an immediate action.

Heavenly gift.
Lesser Protective Aura (Su): The angelic
paragon gains a lesser form of the protective
aura possessed by more powerful angels.
This protective aura grants the angelic
paragon a +2 deflection bonus to its AC
against evil foes, and a +2 resistance bonus
on all saving throws made against evil effects
or spells cast by evil creatures. This aura
extends to a radius of 5 feet, but can only
benefit one additional creature other than
the angelic paragon at any one time. This
protective aura is fragile, and as soon as an
evil creature successfully strikes the angelic
paragon, or as soon as she fails a saving
throw against an evil source, its protective
aura fades away and is no longer applicable.
The angelic paragon can reactivate its
protective aura by spending 1 minute
concentrating upon the task.

Alright, I've updated everything and am good to go for the next part of the adventure. Anyone have anything else in particular they want to accomplish in Neathholm, or should I just move things along?

![]() |

hello all, still here, just a little busy. had to help a friend move into his new apartment yesterday and now my whole body aches.

GM Ahnuld |

If no one else has any tactics, pre-buffs, or any of that, all I need is a marching order and I can move on.

Eldric Lightbringer |

Welcome back Belg. That doesn't sound fun at all.
I suggest...
Eldric scouts ahead. Take 10 for perception for a 19. Stealth of course for moving. Sabrina and Belg comes next, to hold the front. With our squishy mage in the middle, and our angel next to him. Finally Sara bot holds the rear against any ambush.
Should we make contact, then we create a firing line. Melee intercepts incoming enemy. Slowly advance, with Edmund putting them to sleep, and us clearing them out one by one.

Caisramriel |

I'm in agreement with eldric, he's order works for me. I have limited ranged abilities.
Note that I can choose a ward within 5ft of me. They'd get a +2 deflection bonus to their ac.

GM Ahnuld |

Curious, where do our NPC friends fit in this? We still need to get them out as well.
They will all want to follow you to the surface, but they're fine hanging back a bit if you want to go on ahead. Though I will remind you that Aravashnial is a 6th-level Wizard and Anevia is a 3rd-level Rogue, so they're not useless in a fight. Horgus on the other hand . . .

Caisramriel |

I mean't in terms of our marching order. Probably best to keep them with us, even Horgus. I don't see good things happening by leaving him with the mongrel folk.
