Halara |

"Thanks! But I'm not a psionic, tough. I learned it from a cacique many years ago... Against a group of creatures it is useless, but against a single enemy..." She winks.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
She tries to analyse the book, but it's too distracted being proud and cannot do it properly.

GM Void Dragon |

Yeah, but seeing as how Ophelia can take 10 and identify the item with your assists I will just be moving this forward.
Ophelia with the assistance of Halara, and Valkyrie manages to determine the magical properties of the book. Only one room remains on this floor. The door is unlocked and you can hear a low buzzing sound coming from the other end of the door.

GM Void Dragon |

Several stacked horizontal shelves hold a number of small, straw-lined bird cages. A stack of parchment, three quills, a pot of ink, and a pile of tiny cylindrical objects cover a nearby table, while a small wooden door is in one corner of the room. Four giant flies buzz around this room. They appear to have been corrupted by the worldwound as each of them has an all too human face with a deformed rasping maw. At the sight of you they begin to buzz loudly and move forward to attack.
Halara's Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Micah's Initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Ophelia's Initiative: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Valkyrie's Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Viktor's Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Enemy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
One of the flies makes a low buzzing sound and a sphere of darkness surrounds the group turning the already dim lighting into darkness. The entire room and hallway are currently under the effects of a darkness spell. The other three move forward buzzing as they attack Viktor in the lead.
Bite 1: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 2 = 12
Damage 1: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 Plus DC 15 fort save versus disease.
Bite 2: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 2 = 19
Damage 2: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Plus DC 15 fort save versus disease.
Bite 3: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 2 = 24
Damage 3: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 Plus DC 15 fort save versus disease.
Two of the flies manage to begin biting Viktor before he can react to their sudden assault.
Party up!

Ophelia Iestelle Glinathir |

Once again not having a line of sight, Ophelia simply crosses her arms and sighs. Hopefully, Viktor and Halara will clean things up quickly like the last few times.

Halara |

These confined spaces such!
Not having any other option Halara tries to attack one of the flies with her reach weapon.
Fauchard: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 Minus penalty for cover, if applicable. Damage: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

GM Void Dragon |

Alright Viktor just making sure, as I couldn't remember at what level paladins got immunity to diseases.
Halara's fauchard arcs upward beautifully slamming into a buzzing annoyance, and cutting it in half. The other two flies seem unaffected by their comrades death as they still focus on Viktor, and the fly in the back gets ready to move forward.

Viktor Rusnak |

"Foul creatures! Viktor bellows as he slashes at the one in front of him.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 +2 if evil outsider
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Additional damage if evil outsider damage: 2 + 2d6 ⇒ 2 + (2, 3) = 7
Do they get a penalty for attacking me around the corner like that?

GM Void Dragon |

They are not evil outsiders so the bane will not apply. That being said the flies except for the first should have taken a -2 penalty I forgot about that. Only the third fly actually hit. Also unless Viktor has darkvision he will have a 50% miss chance for the flies.
Miss chance 1-50 hit/ 51-100 miss: 1d100 ⇒ 18 Hit
Viktor's blade swings up and connects with on of the remaining flies, but it's unnaturally thick skin seems to resist his blade.
The fly in the back moves forward to attack Viktor while the other two continue to attack the paladin.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 2 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Attack 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Attack 3: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
All of the flies fail to strike the paladin even with him unable to see them coming his armor keeping him safe from harm.
Party up!

Valkyrie Stormseeker |

Remember they have a 20% miss chance as well.. I used the armor scrap on him again.
Unable to get at anything Val holds her action.

Halara |

"Some light please, anyone?!" Realizing she didn't cause much damage on the first attack, she tries harder! I did damage with a d20 on the first round, sorry, but it seems it didn't hit in either case, or did it? Correct Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16
Fauchard: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Minus penalty for cover, if applicable. Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 46
Confirmation: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Viktor Rusnak |

I feel pretty bad about crowding you guys out of the action this much. One or two rooms is just me protecting the casters, but I hope the whole mission isn't like this.
Viktor chops again! Then he steps back a little, still blocking the room but allowing his allies a better angle.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Ophelia Iestelle Glinathir |

It's just the nature of fighting in buildings sometimes.
Hearing a request for Light, Ophelia points the tip of her wand of magic missile at her free hand and snaps her fingers, resulting in a torch of sorts as a glowing sphere appear on the magic device's end.
Ophelia casts Light on my Wand of Magic Missile. This spell causes a touched object to glow like a torch, shedding normal light in a 20-foot radius from the point touched, and increasing the light level for an additional 20 feet by one step, up to normal light (darkness becomes dim light, and dim light becomes normal light). Given my current position, I'm not sure how much it will do.

GM Void Dragon |

The correct damage means that the fly is still up, but your next hit would kill it. The light level will move up to dim thanks to Ophelia, so it will only be a 20% miss chance.
The flies manage to dodge Viktor's swing as he backs up before they continue to attack Viktor. Buzzing angrily at the paladin for blocking their way.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Attack 2: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 - 2 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Attack 3: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 2 = 3
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
They seem to dislike the new light level as none of them comes even close to touching much less scratching Viktor's armor.
Party up!

Halara |

"These monsters seem to absorb the light!" She starts to think about what could these monsters be, although whatever they were the problem would soon be solved.
Fauchard: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 86
Confirmation: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
I've been critting a lot in this campaign!

Viktor Rusnak |

Viktor laughs at the pathetic attacks. "This is too easy!"
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 59
Confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Crit Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

GM Void Dragon |

Halara cuts down a fly with her fauchard slicing deeply into the fly causing it to fall to the ground in a puddle of it's own blood. Viktor's blade cuts deeply into his fly as well, but it's unatturally thick hide still keeps it flying even though it has begun bleeding profusely.

Ophelia Iestelle Glinathir |

Ophelia continues to maintain her Light spell but does little else since the melee fighters seem to have the battle handled (and also since she still lacks a line of sight).

GM Void Dragon |

Sorry, that would be me.
The two remaining flies attack Viktor with buzzing fury hoping to wound the paladin.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Attack 2: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 - 2 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
One of the flies almost pierces Viktor's defense only the blessed armor that he is wearing prevents the flies mandibles from sinking in. The other fly scratches ineffectually against Viktor's shield.
Party up!

GM Void Dragon |

Halara slays the fly right in front of her with her fauchard cutting off its wings before it flops to the floor dead.

Viktor Rusnak |

Wow I am so sorry. I was rushing a post on my phone and my service was awful so I didn't double check it.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 49

GM Void Dragon |

Viktor misses the fly as it buzzes away from his sword before rushing back towards the paladin.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Crit?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 1
The fly is able to get past Viktor's guard and bite his arm deeply tearing off some flesh. Only Viktor's armor and shield prevent the fly's bite from digging even deeper into his forearm and turning a deep wound into a horrendous one.
Party up!

Viktor Rusnak |

Poor bastard needs a nat 20 lol.
Viktor grunts as the bug gets a lucky shot. But his attacks are relentless!
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 70
LOH: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7

GM Void Dragon |

Sorry about not updating apparently paizo ate my post.
Viktor's blade once again manages to cut the fly, but it's unnatural hide resists the efforts of his blade to bring it down.

GM Void Dragon |

Halara's swing easily cuts through the fly's defense and the fly itself. The room falls quiet of the buzzing sound from earlier.
Combat over

Halara |

Halara adds her own Light spell to her fauchard, and moves in right after Viktor, checking what was there so they could move over to the rest of the complex. They were running out of time for sure.
"Are you hurt Viktor?"

GM Void Dragon |

The light doesn't seem to do much, but just a few short seconds later the darkness ends seemingly unable to continue without the fel influence of the flies.

GM Void Dragon |

All that remains in the room are several small bird cages lined with straw on shelves. A table with blank parchment, three quills, and an ink pot. A small wooden door in the corner of the room. The small wooden door appears like it might lead outside, but it also appears locked.
