I'm assuming that Viktor will be going through.

Viktor opens the door into a room that was once some sort of museum, but its contents have been smashed and scattered across the room—even the shelves have been shattered and torn apart in places. The decapitated bodies of two knights, their armor and bodies broken and mangled, lie in the ruins. Two rat-faced demons chuckle as they play puppets with the knight's heads. The two demons hiss at your intrusion into their game.

The demon cries out in pain as Viktor's blade deeply cuts into its arm. Its beady little eyes seem to fill with even more hatred towards the paladin if that's even possible.

"Slumber!" says the Shaman, pointing at the unharmed demon/devil/whatever. She tries to take it out of combat completely.

Slumber:
A witch can cause a creature within 30 feet to fall into a deep, magical sleep, as per the spell sleep. The creature receives a Will save to negate the effect. If the save fails, the creature falls asleep for a number of rounds equal to the witch’s level. This hex can affect a creature of any HD. The creature will not wake due to noise or light, but others can rouse it with a standard action. This hex ends immediately if the creature takes damage. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day.

Telis also rushes into the room and attacks.

The arrow slams into the demon, but it remains standing and it even dodges Telis's bite as the snow leopard attacks.

The demon attacks Viktor back for his attacks.

Viktor grunts as a bit of blood drips through his armor, but it's a minor wound. He holds his longsword over the other demon, giving a brief look to the party as if to ask Any reason to keep it alive for a moment?

The demon squirms around the blade as Viktor slams the blade into it. Its struggles, but then goes still as it dies. The museum calms down as all of the demons within are now dead.

"We're here to locate the wardstone fragment and destroy it.." Val casts detect magic and has a look around before returning to head upstairs..


Current Map

The only thing that sticks out to Valkyrie is the dead bodies of the two knights and an adamantine morningstar lying on the ground nearby. The morningstar detects as magical and Ophelia and Valkyrie can recognize that the morningstar is just a +1 adamantine morningstar. The rest of the knight's gear and most of their bodies seems to have been smashed by the two demons before you even got here.

Halara puts the Morningstar in her backpack and joined the group in leaving the room and continuing their search. She was worried about Viktor, but if he didn't want any help, she couldn't help it.

As Viktor advances up the stairs several tieflings waiting above take shots at the paladin.

Whew, crowded. Perfect! I'll choke point them to death! I'm pretty sure my bane weapon doesn't work against tieflings, correct?

Viktor steps forward and chops at the closest tiefling, keeping his shield high. If he remains as the wall for his allies, they will cause all the damage needed. He is the spine of the attack force.

Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Fighting defensively, AC is currently 26.

It's working for me. That's a hell lot of them...

Halara walks up to Viktor and finds some space to send a spell burning the hell of the tieflings, who were probably resistant to fire, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
Burning Hands: 4d4 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 4) = 13

It will hit the 4 close to the door with the cone (purple ones).

Not being able to do much else Val pulls out her armor acrap and casts the leviate/blur spell on Victor.. Regardless of him needing levitate it should give him 20% concealment.. BTW whats he caster level on that?

Viktor steps forward swinging his sword at the tiefling in front of him, but the demon-spawns's natural reflexes allow him to dodge back while grinning at the paladin. His grin fades away though when Valkyrie makes the paladin start blurring and he scowls as Halara's Burning Hands burns both him and nearby allies. Two of the tieflings are able to avoid the worst of it by using their forward allies as shields and then their natural resistances seem to take care of most of the rest although some small burns do appear on them. The forward two are caught up in the flame entirely and only their natural resistance to flame seems to keep them standing up afterwords. Micah and Telis delay as they cannot get up the stairs right away and Micah doesn't yet have the training to fire into melee.

Ophelia is up!

Without a line of sight or much room to move, Ophelia is left with little to do but wait patiently.

A hail of crossbow bolts fly towards Halara, but she dodges them all. The wall behind her suddenly fills up with crossbow bolts. Viktor keeps his shield up and steady as the two tieflings attempt to strike him and both of their shortswords fail to penetrate his armor.

Unfortunately he fails to harm the tiefling warrior in front of him as the teifling's quick reflexes keep him out of the paladin's reach.

Same here.. The tank that seemingly unable to hit anything clogs the door.. Why is he taking -4 to hit for 2 AC when they prob need 18+ to hit him to start..

Halara tries to make up space at the entrance, putting one of the guys to sleep. "Slumber!" DC 15 on the guy with the black border.

Viktor fought defensively his first attack, so boting him I assumed he would try to go the slow and steady route of taking them down while minimizing the chance of them hitting him.

Can a tiefling hit?: 10d20 ⇒ (2, 9, 4, 18, 17, 8, 12, 11, 12, 1) = 94 Nope

tielfing will save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 Success

Viktor's attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 = 23

The teiflings all attack with either their crossbows or shortswords at the paladin barreling towards them, but they are unable to get past his defenses. Then Halara attempts to send one of the tielfings into a deep slumber, but the warrior resists. His victory is short lived though as Viktor's blade comes down upon him with a thunderous smash and the tiefling warrior is slammed down onto the ground by the force of the blow. Viktor moves forward trusting in his armor to protect him as he moves into the fray.

One of the tieflings is able to get a lucky blow past the paladin's defenses as he moves forward to start swinging.

Valkyrie takes down another tiefling swinging around her scimitar to slice the tiefling warrior nearly in two as he falls to the floor.

Halara slices down on the tiefling warrior in front of her and opens a red wound in his side. He collapses to the ground trying to stem the flow of blood.

Viktor continues his relentless chopping. It's going to be a long fight.

The tiefling dodges under Viktor's swing with little difficulty stepping back up and ready to fight.

The teiflings unleash a barrage of blows at Viktor trying to use their numbers to bring him down while another tries to stop Valkyrie.

Viktor Not flanking: 3d20 ⇒ (8, 7, 1) = 16 No hits.

The teiflings just can't catch a break as they attack Viktor and the only attack to even make it past his guard fails to harm him due to his blurred form. The one tiefling attacking Valkyrie fails to even come close to touching the quick warrior let alone harming her.
