With one mighty thrust of her trident, the goblin is skewered and goes limp.
That's it for the goblins, but stay in initiative. Let's finish out this round's actions.
Round 2, Init. 13
Seeing his new friends make quick work of the goblins in the square, Totek quickly realizes there is more going than it seems.
"The sounds of their wretched singing is still echoing throughout the town. Who knows how many of these monsters are attacking?"
A woman begins running forward- Ameiko Kaijitsu, owner of the Rusty Dragon Inn, has a blade in her hand and a streak of blood across her face. Certainly not her own.
"One of those buggers try to sneak up behind me, but he had no idea who he was messing with!" she says with a smirk and glimmer in her eye. It's obvious to all that she is quite experienced at dispatching creatures such as these.
Pointing a finger at Totek, she says, "You, big man. I think I heard more south of here. We'll go check it out, the rest of you stay here and make sure the square is clear before moving on. Who knows if more are hiding here?"
Finally, as she turns to leave, she glances at Barek. "You've definitely earned your pay today. But it doesn't look like you're off of work yet!"
The two disappear out of sight, heading south and deeper into town.
Cadas
I'm not updating the map turn-by-turn, only at the start of a new round. Ekan just killed Goblin 3, so it won't be reflected on the map until the new round starts.
I am with you, but was confused by two things. I never saw you reference Goblin 1 going down but I did see Barek took one out. Also, the way you have recorded things are likely better for us but I am pretty sure that Ekan had missiled #2 and not #3 the second time, as it was the one charging him, right? oh well, confusion goes with PBP combat.
GM Sloth
The one charging towards him was #3. He hit it with Magic Missile, it got mad and started to run forward, and he killed it with Force Bolt. Unless I misunderstood Ekan's intention, but that's what I saw.
Also, I said "First kill goes to Barek!" and then took it off the map and initiative order for Round 2, so I figured everyone understood that it was dead. If not, I'm sorry.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Round 2, Init 7:
Bert draws his bow, nocks an arrow, and looks around for any more goblins coming into range.
Perception check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Ekan Waterfield

That was certainly my intent, thanks. Sorry if I wasn't clearer and may have thrown some folks off :)
Mirela Malvo
Round 2, initiative 13
As Ameiko and Totem pass Mirela heading south, Mirela glances over at Barek and grins lightly “I think I'll stick close to you, clearly you can handle yourself.” Moving slightly to her right, Mirela attempts to take a more hidden position awaiting further attackers.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
P18 -> Q19 and wait for further dangers
Cadas
When Cadas' turn comes back around she does not maintain her enlarged condition and returns to normal size. Gozreh defend us, they are running everywhere Ekan. Let us engage then as a team.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
"Good plan, Cadas. But I like being up where I can see a ways. Do you think you could go and draw some back here? Make the junkpickers chase you into an ambush?"
Ekan Waterfield
"Impressive," He says to Cadas. Then listens as she and Bert discuss strategy, "Maybe we should talk to Barek and his new friend as well...where ever his new friend went. I think unity might work well."
He mutters another spell, rubbing a bit of cured leather between his palms.
Mage Armor up for his action this round. (+4) Should last an hour
"Viscount, be careful, but if you see any goblins, circle them and let us know." He calls out to his familiar.
If Viscount listens ;) and peeks about his perception roll is:
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Barek Hisdren
Barek stares at Ameiko. She's hired me to protect her, and she going to run into the face of danger. I should have asked for payment up front. He only shrugs though. "You're the boss."
Then he turns back to the square and nods at his newfound friends, recognizing a couple of them. "Name's Barek for those who I don't know. Now, let's get everyone out of here."
Then he begins to shout. "Clear the square! Get to safety! Move out and get to an inn or your homes!"
GM Sloth
Warchanter: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
After a few seconds of calm, a sudden explosion rocks the square! One of the carts, laden with fuel for tonight’s bonfire, suddenly goes up in a torrent of flames. Shrill singing and laughing can be heard from behind it as more goblins begin emerging, their faces singed and blackened from standing too close to the flames. However, they seem unfettered in their plans for chaos. One goblin in particular seems to be leading the goblin chorus, spurring them all into action.
Round 3
Warchanter . . . . . 24
Cadas . . . . . 16+
Ekan . . . . . 16-
Mirela . . . . . 14
Goblins . . . . . 10
Bert . . . . . 7
Barek . . . . . 6
You can all definitely hear that the source of the singing is coming from the goblin in X3. You might not have a line of sight to see him yet, but just so you're aware, everyone can hear it.
-------------
Round 3, Init. 24
X3 -> T4
The singing goblin runs out from behind the inferno, spotting Bert on top of the podium. She begins to cast a spell while maintaining her rousing performance for her comrades.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Cadas
Round 4, Init 16+ - Bless is still in effect.
Cadas moves forward to address the new threat and to stand by to protect the disabled bard.
S14->S10
Calling upon Gozreh and pointing her trident at the menace she calls down a stormburst onto the closest goblin. A blast of weather strikes from the heavens downward towards Goblin 1.
Range Touch Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 1 = 151d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
After this she grows again now occupying ST9 and ST10 and stands blocking access to Bert. "Fight me! She challenges, shaking the gore from her blooded trident.
Mirela Malvo
Being far from the new group of goblin invaders, Mirela decides to advance across the Market Square. Aware that her quick movement may expose her position to the goblins, Mirela takes a calculated risk that the goblins will consider an enlarged Cadas the greater threat.
Rapier in-hand, Mirela takes cover behind the red and purple stripped pavilion while muttering to herself "Here I thought Sandpoint was supposed to be a safe, sleepy little town."
Double move action Q19 -> U10. Mirela will wait for an attack opportunity while taking partial cover (if possible) behind red and purple striped pavilion.
Cadas
Storm Burst is +1 damage per two levels, so there shouldn't be any extra damage until level 2. Unless I'm overlooking something?
Ok. Sorry. Those powers are usually minimum of 1, but your call, and no problem either way. Its also nonlethal and adds a debuff of -2 to attack for a round.
Barek Hisdren
I'm going to hold my post until after the goblins, so I can react to their actions, but Barek will probably be coming around the other side of the stage to try to and flank them.

Those domain powers are one of the few exceptions to that. They actually do +0 damage until you hit level 2.

Round 1:
Bert is consumed with laughter.

I have noted it on my sheet and will remember. For some reason I am suspecting that these guys might have 7 HP. :)
Barek Hisdren
Seeing the woman grow large before his eyes, Barek stares before realizing the threat of the goblins is still very real. He takes off around the stage, hoping to use the giant woman as a distraction to get behind them.
Full move. Move O-17 -> K-8

Round 3, Init. 10
Goblin #1
After taking a lashing from mighty winds summoned by Cadas, the staggered-looking goblin slowly makes his way around the tent in an attempt to avoid the dangerous Shoanti woman, and possibly find some easier prey.
Mirela, the goblin does not seem to notice you at all.
Seeing the exposed Wizard shooting magical rays, he instead decides to gut him instead.
X6 -> W12
--------------
Goblin #2
The goblin, dogslicer in hand, foolishly pushes forward towards the massive Cadas. He begins giddily shrieking, ”Ah look! More meat on this longshanks! We eat for weeks!”
X5 -> U7
2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 6) + 3 = 10
Unfortunately, Cadas' strike misses as the goblin barrels towards her knees.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Extra Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Goblin #3
The third goblin also advances on Cadas in an attempt to cut the large woman down to size.
W4 -> T7
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Round 3 Recap
- The warchanter steps into battle, casting a spell that brings Bert crashing to the ground in an uncontrollable fit of laughter.
- Cadas buffets Goblin #1 with a torrent of wind, severely injuring the creature but failing to drop him completely. She then grows in size yet again to defend her halfling companion.
- Ekan fires another bolt of force, this time hitting the Warchanter and wounding her.
- Mirela moves across the battlefield and hides behind the tent, hoping to catch one of the creatures by surprise.
- The goblins begin to push forward. #1, badly wounded, slowly moves towards Ekan. #2 and #3 both engage Cadas, who misses an open attack against one of them. #2 lands a successful hit but fails to capitalize on inflicting a greater blow, while #3 misses entirely.
- Bert cannot contain his laughter.
- Barek moves forward, closing in on the goblins.

Round 4, Init. 24
The singing goblin makes her way in front of the new cathedral, spotting the approaching brawler and attempts to put him down before he can become a threat by casting another spell.
T4 -> O5
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Ekan Waterfield
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
I have no idea what spell that goblin keeps casting, but it's taking us out far too easily. Unfortunately, he may not be able to target the warsinger just yet as one other goblin is charging him hard.
"The one near the Cathedral is the most dangerous, I think," Ekan alerts the others, backs up, and then flings an icy ray at the goblin charging him, "Unfortunately, I think we each maybe a bit busy."
Backing up to S-11, casting Ray of Frost.
Point Blank Feat grants +1 to hit and dmg with it if within 30 feet already counted in. Intense spells for being an evoker add addition +1 to dmg.AC currently 15 thanks to mage armor
Ranged Touch attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
if that hits: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Cadas
Ekan, and the rest of you, do not forget the Bless!
Cadas strikes out at the goblin that just hit her and then allows her growth to fade, ending up in S9, standing her ground against the attacking Goblins and shielding the prone bard.
Melee Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 1 = 172d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 4) + 3 = 13
Health is 5/9
Barek Hisdren
Barek rounds the corner of the stage and spots the singing goblin. Who the hell knew goblins could sing? The idea seems so preposterous to him, that Barek begins to chuckle at the simple sight of the small misshapen creature with the rather amazing voice. The chuckle soon grows into a full blown laughter and then as the goblin reaches a particularly high note, the man begins laughing so hard he is brought to his knees. Tears stream down his face and he points to the little green bugger, but he can't seem to control himself enough to even stand up.
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Just waiting on Mirela and #3.
Mirela Malvo
Sorry, at work and doing this on my cell.
Seeing her opportunity, Mirela moves quickly and quietly as possible behind the remaining goblin attacking Cadas. Whith a swift strike, she attacks the goblin with her rapier.
Move indirect path U10 - U7, attack from flank.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 3 + 1 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Round 4:
Assuming that #3 is going to attack Mirela....
Free of the enchantment, Bert bounds to his feet, invokes his luck, and looses an arrow at the warchanter. He calls in Goblin, "I think this is funnier, don't you?"
Shortbow attack on warchanter, incl. luck and bless: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 23
Shortbow damage, incl. luck: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
GM Sloth
Unfortunately, Mirela's attack on the goblin misses and he becomes immediately aware of some fresh meat to kill.
Round 4, Init. 10
Goblin #3 turns and attempts to hack his assailant with his dog slicer.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
The goblin fails miserably in connecting his blade.
Bert lets loose an arrow that hits his target, but the singing goblin refuses to fall despite her injuries.
Barek falls to the ground in a heap of laughter, seemingly under the same effect that had just plagued Bert moments earlier.
Cadas
Cadas will step 5' back to S10 and call upon Gozreh to close her wound, sacrificing a prepared Spell (her only remaining spell that is not a domain spell - Infernal Healing).
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
As her wound heals she raises her trident to once again threaten the goblin.
Mirela Malvo
I'll have to post slightly out of order for Round 5, since I may not get a chance until later this evening.
Frustrated that her initial strike failed to land, Mirela continues the assault as she begins to loose her cool "Bloody goblins!"
Continuing the attack on Goblin #3, assuming Ekan doesn't hit him with a spell first. I don't think I'm considered to be flanking anymore since Cadas took a step back, so I won't include the bonus.
Attack roll on Goblin#3: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5
Damage if successful: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Apparently I can't hit the broad side of a barn lol
Cadas
Sorry to have stepped back, but even though she is acting like one at the moment, and not doing too bad at it, Cadas is not a fighter. Another hit with a dog slicer could drop your healer. I felt it prudent to heal up now that the threat was lessened and Bert was back on his feet.
GM Sloth
Round 4 Recap
- The Warchanter casts another spell that brings Barek to the ground laughing.
- Ekan fires a ray of frost that drops Goblin #1.
- Cadas deals a mighty blow that slays Goblin #2.
- Mirela moves into a flank but her attack misses.
- Goblin #3 strikes at Mirela but misses horribly.
- Bert recovers from his laughing fit, stands and shoots the Warchanter, badly wounding her.
- Barek is unable to act due to his uncontrollable laughter.
Round 5
Warchanter . . . . . 24
Cadas . . . . . 16+
Ekan . . . . . 16-
Mirela . . . . . 14
Goblin #3 . . . . . 10
Bert . . . . . 7
Barek . . . . . 6
I'm at work so I'm unable to update the map for this round. I'm pretty certain this fight is going to wrap up here though.
Round 5, Init. 24
The Warchanter, whip in hand, moves forward and attempts to trip Mirela, aiding her last companion in battle.
O5 -> T5
VS. Mirela's CMD: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12
Mirela is able to hop over the incoming whip headed towards her legs, and is safe.
Ekan Waterfield
"Cadas, are you alright?" Ekan says worriedly as the cleric is forced to retreat. Seeing the warchanter close in on them, he decides that between her spells and tactical thinking, she's just too dangerous to live and releases another forcebolt on her.
Another forcebolt, so warchanter takes
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Round 5, Init. 7:
"Nice job, Ekan!" Figuring that #3 is well in hand and being unwilling to fire into melee, Bert tries to pinpoint the nearest remaining goblin activity.
Perception check, incl. lingering luck bonus: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 1 = 26
Barek Hisdren
Nope not this round. Can't quite get to him.
Barek sees the little singing goblin get cut down by the mage's magic and suddenly it doesn't seem quite so funny anymore. The burly man gets to his feet and, seeing one more goblin still up, he rounds the backside of the stage.
Stand up. Move K-8 -> Q-7
GM Sloth
I'm not going to drag the fight out any longer, when it's pretty clear that you've all won. :)
With the last of the goblins in the town square silent, the noise of chaos and battle can still be heard echoing throughout Sandpoint. Small fires have erupted, but villagers quickly jump to action to douse the flames. It seems the raid on the festival itself seems to have been thwarted, as no more goblins can be seen invading the square.
Mirela Malvo
With a measure of disgust, Mirela peers down at the closest goblin corpse as she re-clasps her rapier to her belt. I don' think I'd ever seen a goblin before today," pausing a moment, she nudges it with her left foot and recoils slightly "foul little things aren't they?"
Stepping over the goblin corpse, Mirela quickly surveys the damage to the town square as she approaches the others who had been fighting alongside her. With a friendly smile and a touch of concern, the young acrobat introduces herself "Well met, I'm Mirela Malvo. Is everyone alright?"
Cadas
Cadas massages the area where the dog slicer cut her and moves over to make sure Bert is ok. The jagged red scar from the wound is already fading to nothing after the healing magic has done its work. By the Wind and the Waves, yes I am fine. This coordinated attack against a population center is not like a goblin tribe at all. Something has whipped them up. Search the bodies for any clues as to their motives. After checking on Bert she moves to the Warchanter's corpse and begins to search it.
Ekan Waterfield
With a friendly smile and a touch of concern, the young acrobat introduces herself "Well met, I'm Mirela Malvo. Is everyone alright?"
"Ekan Waterfield, at your service," Ekan looks about as he speaks, surveying the damage, "I am untouched, And thank you all for helping fight these things." His gaze is rather intense My second home... they may not be giants, but they attacked my home.
" By the Wind and the Waves, yes I am fine. This coordinated attack against a population center is not like a goblin tribe at all. Something has whipped them up. Search the bodies for any clues as to their motives." After checking on Bert she moves to the Warchanter's corpse and begins to search it
"Excellent notion," He agrees, "They must have had a plan beyond simple chaos. Some goal or prize..."
Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (4) + 0 = 4
While he searches the goblins remains, it is obvious that the wizard is a bit lost in thought
Edrebertil "Bert" Blackwillow
Bert is also unhurt, except for a scrape or two where he fell down laughing. "No time for searching--there are still goblins out in the village. Let's go!" He hops down from the platform and heads off in the direction of the loudest sounds of combat. As he moves, he waves distractedly at the acrobat. "Hi, Mirela. I'm Edrebertil Blackwillow, but you can call me Bert. Or call me Ed, if you insist. Just don't c--sorry, not the time."
