Rataji the Leader |

"Gazwyr use your dragon senses! Seek him over there in the alcove above the hall!" Rataji yells with a finger point, a point no one can see.

Merck's PFS PGC |

CMW Potion: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (2, 3) + 3 = 8
Do we have the surprise on him, can Marnarius sneak attack?
Marnarius flies to the hidden mage following Rataji's instructions.
No, we will take your life from you!
Attk: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 13 - 2 = 15
Dmg: 2d6 + 9 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 9 + 6 = 18

You're swinging blindly at a square, so no precision damage.
Marnarius flies in and swings at the air and successfully hits the air! Sadly, nothing else offers any resistance on his blade.
Zey looks about at Gazwyr and Zurnzal before very quickly casting a spell on them!
DC 20 Will save or be staggered (plus other penalties)
He then points at Rataji and casts another spell!
DC 22 Will save or both Int and Cha drop to 1
Order:
Rataji, Gazwyr, Marnarius, Zurnzal
Aram Zey
Jorilyn, 322

Rataji the Leader |

Bollix
Spellcraft on the spell: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
Will: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
"You nancy Pathfinder!"
Gazwyr should be able to "see" him. Rataji takes out a scroll of Glitterdust and casts it on the bastard. "THERE!"
Will DC 13 or be blinded as well as the guaranteed outline.

322 — The Experiment |

322 glides into the room on her black wings, swooping toward the center of the room. She sees the figure in the middle of the room and points at it with unbridled fury. Ziua a venit, Caleacăutător!
DC 15 Fly check to Hover: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Hmm...I know that she has not heard (or rather understood) Rataji's statement about the illusion, but she does still have deathwatch up...would she see that the figure is not real with that?

Gazwyr the Dragon |

Will save: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 8 + 2 = 30
Heroism
Gazwyr shrugs off the spell. Foolish mortal, quit playing tricks!
The dragon squints his eyes in the direction that Rataji is frantically pointing. Unfurling his great wings once again Gazwyr leaps into the air and comes to a hover right before the area as he bathes it in acid.
Acid Breath: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 3, 5) = 18
Rounds until useable again: 1d4 ⇒ 1
DC 15 reflex for half

Merck's PFS PGC |

Well, well, well...
Smilling Marnarius closes in and strikes the now glowing wizard.
Activate studied target.
Attk: 1d20 + 13 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 13 - 2 + 2 = 32
Dmg: 2d6 + 9 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 9 + 6 + 2 = 24
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 13 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 13 - 2 + 2 = 28
Crit Dmg: 2d6 + 9 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 9 + 6 = 23
This is the best day ever of my whole PFS career. I have being waiting sooooooo long to beat the crap out of Aram Zey! Now, if only grandmaster torch would enter the room next...

Jorilyn moves into the room thinking she's stealthy, but Zey's voice booms through the room, "You think you're so sneaky, you Aspis scum! But your deeds and actions are known!"
322 flies in and swears in a language which Zey seems to understand even if the GM doesn't, haha. His simple retort is, "We shall see."
I honestly don't know about Deathwatch, but it's sort of moot since Rataji glitterdusted him.
Rataji resists the spell to keep his wits about him and uses his prepared inventory to reveal Aram Zey's location!
Saves on a not-1: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Gazwyr turns on the wizard and breathes more acid at him! This time the reaction seems truly painful. Well, irritating, more like.
Reflex save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Marnarius, on the other hand, moves in with a powerful strike!
Zurnzal! Need a DC 20 Will save or be staggered (plus other penalties)

322 — The Experiment |

Haha, forgot to translate that, didn't I? Although, Zey's reply was pretty darn accurate...LOL
322 glowers at the Pathfinder wizard — or at least at his outline — and raises her hard, pointing a finger.
Faceți cunoștință cu îmbrățișarea întuneric Tapet...
A black tentacle snakes out, stretching across the room and wrapping itself around the wizard in the blink of an eye. The tendrils constrict as Aram Zey's face goes ashen for a moment, and then the darkness vanishes as quickly as it arrived.

![]() |

With a quick shake of his head, Zey's palour returns to normal. "How kind to introduce me to your friend. Perhaps if you knew the warmth of the day, you would actually be powerful."
Fort: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Zurnzal up!

Eben's Circus |

Zurnzal growls double when the target he missed wasn't actually even a target, so he follows his Aspis teammates, jumping off the floor to streak across the intervening distance to attempt once more to jab at Zey's eyes.
Fly up to Zey (will someone move Zurnzal? No map access) Then Standard to Dirty Trick (Blind) him.
Dirty Trick: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19; removing Blind is a standard action. For every 5 by which he exceeds CMD, Blindness lasts 1 turn longer.

![]() |

Need a DC 20 will save from Zurnzal or be staggered.
Defensive cast Obscuring mist, cannot fail concentration check

Eben's Circus |

Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Was the Dirty Trick a success?

![]() |

Succumbing to the spell, Zurnzal finds his actions slowed! He is able to get to Zey, but little more.
You would not have had actions enough to perform the dirty trick. The spell was slow, you are now staggered and can take only a single move action or standard action each turn, but not both (nor may it take full-round actions). Additionally, you take a –1 penalty on attack rolls, AC, and Reflex saves. You move at half your normal speed (round down to the next 5-foot increment), which affects your jumping distance as normal for decreased speed.
Duration is 11 rounds =\
Zey grumbles at now being surrounded. So he focuses a little and a could of mist rises up around him!
Defensive cast Obscuring mist, cannot fail concentration check
Party up!

Gazwyr the Dragon |

As the fog clouds Gazwyr's sight momentarily he begins to rely on his other senses to locate the damnable wizard and begins to claw and scrap to get Aram Zey into his clutches.
Bite: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9
Claw 1: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9
Claw 2: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11
Wing 1: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 20
Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 2 = 5
Wing 2: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 24
Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 2 = 7
Haste Bite: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 2 = 14
Blindsight, Heroism, Haste, Power Attack

Eben's Circus |

Yep, Zurnzal was Hasted, so Slow would just suppress it.

![]() |

Gah! Haste! You're right! My bad there. Yes, your dirty trick worked! But only barely.

![]() |

Gazwyr unloads a flurry of attacks, most of which he does not see coming because of Zurnzal's dirty trick! With the last attack, Zey goes down! At a glance, though, he seems to still be alive.
And yes, he's only down because he was flatfooted from being blind. Good job, Zurnzal!

Rataji the Leader |

Rataji takes out the staff of Caustic Fury and drops a wall of Acid directly on Zey, with the caustic side facing the wall, so as to not hurt his fellow agents. Acid Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 4) + 7 = 17

![]() |

As Aram Zey's body dissolves under the wall of acid, you see a silver wisp leave his form and float to 322. It spirals around her before descending into her pack.
With Aram Zey defeated, you are able to steal anything they want from the Master of Spell’s body, take the Sky Key, and begin making their escape. The Sky Key seems to cause minor fluctuations in time and space as you carry it, but it does not impede your travel.
A second team of Aspis agents approaches you partway through your escape, and the lead operative flashes a silver Aspis badge while saying, “Nicely done. I figured we’d be late to the party, but its still five fingers till Oathday.” The last part of this statement is the code phrase that identifies them as the agents responsible for carrying the Sky Key to its next objective. With this handoff complete, you need only slip out of the Grand Lodge using the chaos outside as cover—a simple task.
As you escape the Grand Lodge, wyvarans, yetis, extraplanar humans, and more rush about the walled campus attacking their Pathfinder oppressors, releasing more of the caged menagerie, and setting fire to structures. The Society’s access to the Hao Jin Tapestry demiplane is crippled, the Master of Spells is forever dead, and the Grand Lodge that was once the pristine home for Pathfinders worldwide is scarred and scorched. The Aspis Consortium celebrates your success.
Each of you receives a missive from your respective contact, congratulating you on a job well done. Your efforts have played a key role in ending an era of Pathfinder Society aggression and heralding a new age of Aspis Consortium dominance. You shall each receive compensation as promised, and in the coming months, the Aspis will certainly have more work for each of you.
That wraps up Serpents Rise! Congratulations on slaying the most hated Pathfinder character since Grandmaster Torch! I will get this reported and chronicles posted shortly.

322 — The Experiment |

Tough time deciding if this is more fun to play or to GM!
Thanks for the game, all; and thanks to Sior for GMing. Finally got those Pathfinder jerks!
