Sagar Faraux |

Hello all, Sagar Faraux reporting in.
In short, Sagar is a Half Elven Lore Warden Fighter with a finesse build who will be using Elven Battle Style so will end up with Int to damage on his melee weapons. I'm also thinking of toying a bit with weapon modifications from Adventurer's Armory 2.
He is a first generation Half Elf. His mother came from House Tanessen but was disowned when she became pregnant with an Elf's kid. The way I see it she was either the sister or the aunt of the current lord Tanessen as I have no idea how old the man is.
She passed away several years ago.
As for his father, he came to the city decades ago in search of his sister who apparently had something to do with the previous rebellion. This is all my character knows.
The thing in the spoiler below may contain some spoilers for the AP as it's based on information from the Adventurer's Guide bit on the Silver Ravens, which is from after this AP.
If this is too much the aunt would just be a generic elf.
Sagar also has a sister who lives in Kintargo and works as a silver smith.

Thank you for the selection.
I'll have to build the alias for Tilorean Vashnarstill after work.
Til's a well-bred noble who just doesn't quite take to the lifestyle at the fringes of a noble house. If he had been closer to inheriting the title, he would be in the depths of the politicing, and that might have engaged him, but he's not.
Til's still in the rebellious phase so many young men take too seriously, and he has been rebelling against the structure and attitudes of Chelaxian nobility. He's been busy exploring things he's always been taught he shouldn't do or consider. Then the new Lord Mayor gave him something specific to be rebellious about.

Jego Erwis |

Oh? Are doing it this way? Ok…
Before I met The Monarch I was addicted to crack cocaine.
Seriously though, thank you Ragnarok for being a crazy person and opening up two recruitments so close to each other.
Jego Erwis is a Cleric and can/will fill the healer/buffer/channeller role while being a secondary melee combatant. His deity Hembad is the god of connections, matchmaking, and synergy. He once believed that the best way to bring people together was in matrimony but, since the murder of his wife–the person who steered him away from Asmodeus–he has since focused more on the idea that the chaos (Theologian) of life brings people together, if even for a brief period. Don't expect to see him preaching (openly) about Hembad's teachings as he is a Hidden Priest as well.
At the time of writing this I'm actually beginning to question if the two archetypes DO stack though. Theologian gives only one domain and the Hidden priest False Arcanist ability replaces 1 of the 1st level domain powers.
If our mad GM decides they do not, I will drop the Theologian aspect as I think the Hidden Priest is to crucial to the idea of the character.

Dayne Garrion |

Happy to be here!
Dayne is a Charismatic Tanky-type. Low damage but provides increased survivability for adjacent allies, especially against evil foes.

Jego Erwis |

GREETINGS! BEORN IS A SKILLED BARD AND COMBATANT WHO WILL SUPPORT THE GROUP TO VICTORY!
Why yes, he is Brian Bless
Thanks. Now my coworkers are wondering what I'm laughinghing about at my desk.
@DM Ragnarok cool. I won't change a thing then.

Jego Erwis |

I can't seem to get anyone's profiles to load.
What are everyone's reasons for being at the protest? We could use these as jumping off points for connections.
Jego is here to protest the government.

Dayne Garrion |

Dayne is tagging along. Does someone want to be my friend? (that sounds pretty desperate) Dayne is a Kintargo local who owns and operates a struggling smithy. maybe you are a longtime chum or a good customer that became a friendship. I'm pretty open to story ideas.

Jego Erwis |

So, Dayne, I have an idea. And feel free to say no or come back with adjustments.
Jego regularly had a local smith add links to a chain whenever he married people. After his wife is murdered he has the smith convert it into a spiked chain.
What if Dayne's family smith is where he was going. Dayne and The go are both 30 so it could be plausible that the two became friends over the years. Maybe it was even after Dayne took over the smithy that Jego needed the spiked chain and Dayne is the one who did the work.
Just thoughts.

Dayne Garrion |

Sure!
That is, if DM Ragnarok is cool with it.

Sagar Faraux |

Another link, though not necessarily for attending the protest, could be that Dayne is a friend of Sagar's sister, who is a silversmith and a maker of decorative/ceremonial blades. Since Sagar and his sister are quite close Dayne and Sagar could at least know each other that way.
We're also still missing one person I think, Sebastian Sarini.

Dayne Garrion |

oooh. What if Dayne is hiding a crush on Sagars sister? Like he's seen her work and tried to talk to her about metalworking stuff but he just hasn't had the courage to make a move. (plus that kinda gets Jego the matchmaker invested too)
The thing about Dayne being a smith is that he isn't actually very good. He can do the basics, nails, horseshoes, low quality weapons and armor, etc. Even a spiked chain on a good day. Enough to get by, but he just hasn't broken through to being the Smith his father was. (inner conflict yo!)
Sagar could end up being the protective brother who doesn't think anyone is worthy enough for is sister. or he could be oblivious and just know of Dayne as an acquaintance.

Dayne Garrion |

Then Dayne is tagging along with Jego.

That should work out just fine.
As for Sagar's stance, I'd see him as neither of those. Instead he'd be rather amused by the whole thing. He knows his sister is a tough one and can fend for herself.
Sagar is more likely to take Dayne out for a drink after his sister frustrated another of Dayne's attempts to hit on her.
In addition he probably would try to help Dayne improve his skill in making weaponry. Sagar is quite good at that, though his blades aren't as pretty as those his sister makes.

Tilorean Vashnarstill |

We are missing Sebastian. I'm looking forward to his participation, since my backstory involves his DEAD sister or cousin . . .. And provides him a reason to think I'm at least partially responsible. Background connections can make much more interesting stories.

Dayne Garrion |

I think my phone autocorrected Jego into Jago. Sorry about that. Please ignore.
Also is it pronounced Jay-go or Yeh-go. (like the nordic J which makes the Y sound? as in fjord and Mjolnir and Jotunheim.)

Ya know, I had never even considered that it would not be pronounced Yeh-go. I've been pronouncing it as a Y this whole time.
So, there you go.

Dayne Garrion |

New years?

Dayne Garrion |

Anywhere i can read up on the Night of Ashes and what happened there?

Dayne Garrion |

Also are these anarchists a roleplay encounter or just a check to be made?

Dayne Garrion |

"Ey!Lay offa me! I juz gots'ta know!
Don' you start a repromanding me onnacounta my natural curiosidy."

Dayne Garrion |

Dat zounds an awful lot like yous juz asked me a queshin! Who's da smaht one now?
I'm tinking me n my buddy the singn' fist a justice gotsta learn you a lesson.
(I dont really know what's happening here)

Dayne Garrion |

Same. That's why I was asking about the RP encounter. I could talk about limiting government all day.
"In late Arodus, 4715 AR, Barzillai Thrune's agents attacked dissident groups and members of Sarenrae's and Milani's faiths, killing several leaders and burning buildings. The sudden attack is locally known as the Night of Ashes." - That's all I found.

Dayne Garrion |

How long do we give it?
The GM hasnt posted anywhere since tuesday the 2nd. He may be on vacation or had something in real life come up.

Farrina the Fabulous |

Hello all.
DM Ragnarok has made the (some would say questionable) decision to invite the Colorful One into his game. :)
I debated a bit. This will make three games I'm in and I don't want to be in a situation where I can't give a character my best. But Farrina refuses to be silenced. Particularly when the Fourth Proclamation goes against everything that she believes in.
So, in spite of Francis' misgivings, Farrina is at the protests.
