Sorry for the rather long delay in posts there folks! They're not super common but sometimes I have moments where my focus is off and my mood is off and I find myself unable to get much of anything accomplished besides sleeping for 12+ hours at a time. Last night was one of those moments, but today/tonight I'm feeling much better and ready to give things a good kick in the tires :)
Hey guys, I've got work all day tomorrow and then I'll be heading out to see The Last Jedi with friends and family once I get home. If I've got any slow moments during work I'll try to sneak in a post but otherwise I'll catch up with the game either late tomorrow night or Tuesday :)
No worries Kats, I expected things to proceed a bit more slowly than usual due to holiday busyness :)
In other news, movie was great, I know I enjoyed it and everyone that I went with seemed to enjoy it as well :)
But now - back to business!

Apologies for disappearing abruptly. Holiday season and the pleasant responsibilities it brought with have kept me away for a few days.
In any case, I might be slow for the rest of today (Tuesday noon here, in case of timezone confusion), but I will be back in full swing after that.

Ladile, I had a question. Are you planning on running further games with this lovely ragtag bunch? If not, I might sign up for OutPost games with Kridash. As an alternative, we could set up a table there? Assuming everyone is down with it and you're not filled up yet. Nevermind that. Nothing in tier available anymore.
Oh and the second part is whether we would finish by first week of March, but I assume we'll make it. Pace seems fine here.
Hey, absolutely feel free to sign up for OutPost games with these characters guys - I know our pace has been a little slower than most PFS games here but even with that we'll still be done waaaaay before OutPost starts. To give you an idea, you're actually pretty close to the end already - same for Table A :)
As far as OutPost itself goes, I'm afraid I'm already at my two-table GM limit since I'll be running a table for Solstice Scar B in addition to Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible. However, I would not be averse to running another game down the line for this specific group of characters - or at least maybe this same group of players! As always, I invite folks who've enjoyed my GMing to let me know if I should keep them in the loop when I recruit for future games. I try to be inclusive and keep my tables open to new players and new-to-me-players but I also like to fill at least one or two seats with people that I've already GMed for or played with in the past since I know I can count on them to be active and fun posters :)
Anyway, this reply got a bit rambly but suffice it to say I'll have your characters freed up well before March so if you want to jump into an OutPost game then please do so! Update to follow this post soon~
I hope you guys don't mind me 'botting' some of these rolls for you, by the way. With the way this scenario is structured, there are obviously a lot of instances where the group would be making a lot of rapid-fire checks to do things - such as wrangling Kalkamedes. At a face-to-face game these sorts of things might take a minute or two but trying to translate that to PbP where the pace is slower is a lot trickier. Though I generally try not to make too many rolls for characters so as to not seem like I'm dictating their actions (or stealing their thunder) it's also not very practical or fun to spend what could be RL days going back and forth making opposed checks or making you guys make checks in order to get something done.
Does that make sense? Thoughts?

Totally fine for me as well. Certain things like perception checks vs. hidden opponents, securing Kalkamedes, etc make perfect sense.
Like you mentioned, so as long as it doesn't interfere with player agency, I don't think there's an issue with it. There's always a risk of someone saying "well, I'd have checked for traps/stealthed enemies/whatever", so I usually just do a take-10 roll under a GM Screen spoiler tag, and leave it at that in the few times I've GM'd.
It won't be an easy feat to do so, but if anyone in the party can pull it off I think it'd be Kridash :)

Aw. You'll make the gray-skinned half-orc blush. BUT - I read up on the steal maneuver, and decided against it. Back to regular programming.
Also, sorry about the long wait, but I had to set up a new thread for players in my other games first. Tight schedue there, since we need to make it by the time outpost starts. Post in a few min.
No worries, we're moving along fairly well and it helps that Kronas and Corbett already posted their Round 2 actions in advance ;)
I need to make the rounds to the rest of my player games and then I'll get back around to this one and update the combat proceedings!

Now that Kronas is levelling up, I need to decide whether to keep with Arcane Duellist all the way, or start working towards Battle Herald by adding a little Cavalier to the mix. Hmm, decisions, decisions... I may even buy Gamin when I get the gold, it could be quite fun, a knight and his talking sword. :)
