GM Knight |

Okay, back and feeling closer to human, goblin maybe? Still likely to be a bit foggy headed for a few days so if you see something odd just ask and I shall explain the nature of my cock up :)

Lhinneth Silvertide |

Bump.
Just wanted to make sure everything's OK – are you feeling a bit better now GM Knight or are you still convalescent? I surely hope it's the former ;)

Lhinneth Silvertide |

It's been ten days since GM Knight last posted and we've had no news from him in the meantime; this last point in particular is especially worrisome. I hope everything's OK, but I must assume that either by choice or necessity he must have dropped this campaign – which is truly a pity, since short as it may have been, in the time we played together I really enjoyed the characterization and the chemistry between our PCs.

Lhinneth Silvertide |

This is a very generous offer, and one I very much feel like picking up. I'd be sorry to see Arven go, though – perhaps we might go looking for a new GM in an ad-hoc recruitment thread? Parties who have already shown a propensity to work together and a good chemistry are often sought after (since the standard recruitment process on these boards pretty much amounts to flipping a coin in that regard).
But other than that, I thing you'd make a very good GM; as I said, my only qualm would be losing Arven in the process.

Lhinneth Silvertide |

In his other campaign, people mentioned having PM'd him a couple of days ago and still be waiting for a response. It looks like he hasn't been active on the forums with other aliases, either.
Once Valaravans reports in, we'll have the full crew accounted for, right?

Lhinneth Silvertide |

Having Arven take over would be the most seamless transition, and would make matters easier should GM Knight eventually come back. If the current state of things persists and Arven would like to resume playing, we can put up a call for a new GM whenever he wants :)

Deevor |

OK, I've taken a gander at the module, well around the bit we've got to. I should spend a wee while preparing and I'm on vacation 30 Aug-5 Sept, then a few days to prep, read the module more, prepare counters, maps and stuff, so 12 Sept, unless we get our real GM back by then. ...
How does that sound, I will try to keep Arven in the game, even if I just have him as an NPC...

Lhinneth Silvertide |

Sounds good. The nice thing about being part of a crew is that having PCs hang around while staying relatively out of focus is a quite a trivial matter (compared to, say, dungeon delving or the like).

Lhinneth Silvertide |

Something similar happened to me before (a GM opening two tables and going AWOL shortly after). It's clearly the most elegant solution, though it proved very dependent on both parties' willingness to hold fast to their respective games – should one group's enthusiasm suffer, the other tends to follow (at least, that's what happened).
Conversely, if both campaigns pick up pace, they might very well boost each other in some sort of resonant effect, I suppose. Let's see what they decide to do (generally speaking, I'm in favour of any option that allows Arven to remain among the PCs).

Zove |
I would enjoy GMing the P&P game. TawnyKnight and I are different in style: he is much more skilled with making things realistic and well written, whereas I am melodramatic and...not the best with writing. We both use google slides the same way. But anyways, there are a few things:
1. I want to only commit to the 1st adventure. If you guys like me as GM and Tawny hasn't come back we'll continue.
2. I don't want to play Zove in Giantslayer anymore. The primal magic archetype isn't playing out the way I had hoped, and the character isn't clicking for me personally.

Welcome and thanks for picking this up! We haven't progressed much into the campaign, so there's not much to recount. This is the story thus far:
We're now in the process of signing up with the Captain. The boatswain (whom GM Knight described as a 'a bald heavily tattooed man', though those kind of minutiae are easily ret-conned) invited us upstairs and shortly after Captain Lanteri made her appearance, gracefully granting us the three thugs' possessions, which the GM hasn't identified yet (btw, does anyone have Detect Magic prepared?).
As for the character sheets and backgrounds, since our builds and attitudes towards life were so similar, after the game started Serenna and I decided our respective characters have been adventuring together for a while now as 'partners in crime', so to say; a friendship based on frequent friendly teasing and a continuous desire to upstage each other.

So, TawnyKnight came up with a good way to handle loot in our Iron Gods game. Its probably a safe bet he would have you guys follow the same procedure. Loot sheet can be found in slides in a sec. Take a look.
Basically, if you want something on the list, put your name in the "location" column next to the item. If no one takes it, the liquidation value gets copied over to the cashed out/sold column. Its a pretty good system.
edit: should be working with edit privileges for all. click the treasure picture to get a link to the google sheets document

GM Infinity +1 |
Eh, I did a bad job explaining maybe. Also if you take something, you subtract the liquidation value from your gold per person. You buy the item at half price from your share of the gold. Or another way to think of it is you reimburse the party for whats taken.
So for example, Salty currently has 487 and so does Lhinneth. Salty wants all the tanglefoot bags so he buys them for half price. Salty now has 387 as his share but Lhinneth still has 487.

I was asking about room arrangements mainly for description purposes ;) Judging by the inn's map, it looks like there's one private room with two beds available, so I'll probably stick to that.
I'll wait for Atrazar to report in before posting (and hopefully identify the remaining loot). If everything else fails, there's always the option of asking its former owners about it (one small benefit of subduing foes through non-lethal means).

Lilywhite is a small town, but it has special qualities that increase what items are available and how much you can sell crap for (notorious, tourist attraction). So, despite being a small town, you can:
a) Find any mundane item for purchase.
b) Name a magic item worth 1500 gp or less. Roll d100. If result > 75, you find item for purchase. If you fail, can retry in 1 week.
c) Sell up to 7500 gp worth of crap in a go.
d) If you are interested in just randomly shopping for magic items (nothing in particular), I roll 3d4 minor magic items and 1d6 major ones for you to peruse.
e) Hire spellcasting services up to level 4.
So, in short, the answer is yes. You could find a formula book with identify in it and copy it, or hire a spellcaster.
Atrazar can also detect magic + spellcraft roll if he returns.

Since it's late afternoon there might still be some time to squeeze in some last-minute shopping and still get a good 8-hour sleep. No need to role-play through it though, it can very well be hand-waved.
Any news from Atrazar?
