GM Henry's First Steps Part III PbP [Completed] (Inactive)

Game Master Signore di Fortuna

Four Pathfinders find themselves doing a few more favors for various Venture-Captains.

I'm looking for two 1st level PFS characters to run through A Vision of Betrayal, the last session of the First Steps series. I'll close recruitment on Friday afternoon CST.

I'd be very interested in playing. I haven't ever done Pathfinder Society before but I've played a lot of face-to-face Pathfinder. I read over the Pathfinder Society guidelines and it looks very interesting.

I currently have a rogue, a barbarian and a cleric; just in case you wanted to build around that.

I think I'm going to play a human fighter with a build I haven't ever tried before- either a polearm/AoO build or an archer type. How do you handle combat? do you use a map?

@ Keolin ... I <3 the polearm/aoo build for versatility ... the full archer build wins on obscene amounts of damage but I find it dull to play a dedicated archer.

@ GM I don't see any arcane classes, and I rarely play casters, so what do you think about a sorcerer rolling in the group?

I also meant to ask- what format do you want the character info in? Statblock, scoreforge, something else?

@Keolin: I use Dropbox for combat maps since I can pull them off the scenario, just use paint to edit them and share them. I don't have a preferred format for characters just as long as all the pertinent info ends up under your character's profile. It's a bit handier for me if I can just click on your name and see what I need to see. I'm not fond of chasing down PDFs or remembering which site your sheet is on.

@dreamingdragon: Sorcerer is completely cool, the group's been needing some arcane punch :)

Liberty's Edge

I've got Kargen here. He has 2XP and has never played any of the First Steps Series. 2XP should be right for Part III, right?>

Yeah, 2XP is where the group is at, but it's not a make-or-break thing.

Liberty's Edge

Garen Haldir is ready to go. Garen is a former city guard sergeant and polearm master.

Let me know if I missed anything or screwed anything up. This is my first PFS character (for Keolin Portara).

@Garen: Everything looks good except I cannot find the Indomitable trait anywhere, so unless you can provide me with a source, you'll have to just change that.

Since my cleric is not going to be on until Monday, I'll just make my decision Sunday. It's kind of a bad day today for me anyhow.

Liberty's Edge

The Indomitable trait is a Andoran faction trait taken from page 14 of the current Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play pdf (version 4.3).

Liberty's Edge

@Garen: Looks like you only spent 19 points on your attributes.

That's all I can see.

Liberty's Edge

I checked the math again and it looks like 20 points to me...

Liberty's Edge

Ah yup. Sorry, I stuffed up (even though I checked several times.) it's a bad day for my ego... Lol

@Garen: Ah, thanks.

I'm just waiting to see if dreamingdragon whips something up.

I guess I'm taking two fighters. Garen and Kargen (hoo boy) please post in the discussion thread.
