GMG's PBP: #8-99b - Solstice Scar (Standard 5-6) (Inactive)

Hi there! Welcome to the Special Solstice Scar B. This game is expected to start May 7th

Current campaign and tier: Standard 5-6

I first want to get the house rules out of the way so we have a common understanding. I assume you will have read this.

Please give me the following information:

1. Player/Forum Name

Please take notice of the following:

I expect you to fill your initiative modifier, perception modifier and preferred place in the marching order on the map (this is a link). If you do not fill these you get to act last in initiative and fail all perception checks automatically that I make for you. I will place you last in marching order. I will also put the map link in my status bar when we start.

I handle initiative in posting order. That means you will enter delay if you could take an action before the next enemy and then come out of delay in posting order.

I expect you to use the appropriate lines (Race, Classes / Levels and Gender) to give me vital information (AC, Saves etc) about your character. You can take a look at my aliases for an example.

I attempt to post at least once a day during weekdays and at least once during the weekend. When I do not post: I have not forgotten about you, there were other things to do with my time that took priority.

This is a special. As such we need to keep our focus, have steady posting and move the scenario forward. I will bot you if you do not post. For that purpose: please add a botting spoiler to your profile so I know what you usually do. For decision making purposes: when two characters agree on a course of action we will go with their decision.

And most important: this is a game and I expect us all to have fun while playing! If something causes you not to have fun: please address it (either here or in a PM) and I will do my utmost to get you back to having fun again.

Passing Aid Token to: GMG

Team, please note that you have an aid token that you can use as a free action. In specials these represent aid other pathfinders give your team.

You can either use them or boost them as laid out on slide 3 of the maps. Either of these will pass the token on to another table and it is best to pass the token quickly, that means everybody gets more aid.

Good reminder. It's hard to keep those in the brain when they're not sitting on the table.

I will be away from the PC Saturday, May 19th for most of the day as I am running two sessions at a live event in Columbia, MO. I will post my opening maneuver against the creature before I depart.

Just how far behind are we compared to the other tables? We had just gotten the fight with the devil started with it seems to have abruptly ended.

It does seem like the pacing coming from the organizers is really aggressive.

I think we are one of the slower tables at the moment, so if we can all improve a bit on posting rate that would help a lot. If you know you are unable to post for a while and it is not yet your turn you can also put your actions in a spoiler if you know what you will likely do.

As an example: I am also playing this with a wizard lvl 6. Often my first action in combat is to cast haste. So I post Will cast haste when my turn comes up so that the GM can continue down the initiative counter if I am the one he waits for.

Also we might have some bad luck with our locations. I am in Europe, so if I miss the overseers post because he posts during my night we might miss an entire day because of that.

When I ran this some of the higher level tables "over took" the lower level tables so as to "push" the encounters along so sometimes this happens. Still hope that it's enjoyable for you.

I think the overseers are pushing this along pretty fast. I played "A" with a 1-2 group and it didn't go this fast. While quicker tables can finish up the encounter faster than others, usually the encounters were on a timer. The timer for these seem to be a lot shorter.

Maybe they just want to do the run through faster for vacation purposes. I don't know. Either way it's what it is.

I have PMed Chadius to let him know we already have an aid token, he will pass the aid token to another table.

Do we have an aid token? I spent one near the end of the last encounter (with the kyton) and I didn't spot us getting one back again. I'm not going to complain if we do have one, don't get me wrong...

Chankotu - bringing the restoration discussion here. I don't think you need to worry about helping me afford restoration - I'm OK with dropping 4 PP on it at the beginning of my next scenario (assuming I'm in a community with enough people in it). I just don't want to pay 7-9 PP do to it. I don't think I need to resolve it at the end of this scenario since I'm not a pregen and am free to, in effect, shop around for that better price.

And I am away again! This time on a planned outing. GM Aerondor will cover for me until I am back on Sunday evening (CEST).

Ugh. Spent some free time checking through all my characters and I just realized that I was unable to purchase the holy upgrade to my longbow due to fame restriction for another adventure or so. I'd blame Herolab for not flagging it, but that is no excuse.

I will continue on with the old version, +1 adaptive darkwood composite longbow. Sorry if I did a few extra points of damage so far.

I kinda thought the Stone Call would take out the images as it did damage to everything in the area.

I am back! Thank you Aerondor for backing me while I was enjoying myself on a boat.

Team, the great GM Aerondor will cover again for me until Sunday. This time I will be celebrating the 25th aniversary of my brother in law relationship with his girlfriend. We will help set up the place, celebrate and then assist in cleaning up again, so I will be out of contact starting early tomorrow.

What action would it take to call on the fey gift? I believe it would be very useful here, but what kind of action would it require?
