Zootloot is about to aim at the invisible man again when the door shuts in his face. "Hey! That's not nice." He immediately tries the door to see if he can reopen it.

Kaiyode smiles as Buri Buri-Ban becomes visible.

"I see you!"

Then, calling upon Gorum's might he swings his greatsword at the annoying little man.

"Give us tee statue!"

And with that, the man drops to the ground. He lives, but is severely beaten. You hear guard whistles just outside.

A quick search of the man and you discover bracers of armor +1, sapphire rings worth 50 gp each (2), 50 gp. Also, there is a statuette of a copper cat.

Copper Cat:
This statue is 2 inches tall and weighs about 8 ounces. It resembles a common house cat in the seated position.

Jack attempts to stabilise the worker that he dropped, whilst the others collect the loot.

Heal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15.

Once he is satisfied that the man is no longer in immediate danger of dying, he nods to the others.

"Alright then, lads! We have what we came for - just one more, and we are done..."

Time to move on...

Kaiyode looks at his greatsword meaningfully as he turns to the workers.

"You saw noting!"

After sheathing his greatsword Kaiyode helps to scoop up the valuables, then trots with his companions away from the warehouse.

Once they are clear of the place,

"So, how ah we going to get into tee secuah mahket?"

Zootloot sees the guards approaching and ushers everyone out the back door. Based on the looks on the faces of the workers, it seems Kaiyode's tactics will prove fruitful.

After some digging for information, you find the Secure Market. The Secure Market is designed for people who don’t like surprises. Situated in the foundation of an ancient tower and surrounded by walls with no windows, it is accessible by one heavily-guarded, narrow entrance from the Central Market to the north. Visitors may not bring weapons into the Secure Market, though the merchants, their personal guards, and the Secure Market guards can. The market is under an anti-magic field (CL 11th)—no magical charming, pecuniary prestidigitation, or counterfeit conjuring can happen in this place. It’s a popular place to do business for those who take security to the level of fetish, and who can afford the stall license. Each license has to be visible on the stall whenever it is doing business, and even one license, transferable as they are, is worth a small fortune.

As you approach an entrance, you see a stall that will collect and tag weapons for you (like a coat check), and behind that, a guarded entrance.

Pau smirks at the others as he happily handed over his weapons. The fact that his most powerful weapon was his body was a fact certainly not lost on him.

While Urktar is quite loathe to leave Bert in the hands of the guards, the efficacy of his new adamantine blade assuages some of his fears...until he realizes he must also give up that blade as well. After nearly a minute of stripping off various weapons, large and small, Urktar emits a pensive sigh. "Ready...I guess."

Zootloot turns over his weapons. The man at the table points at his guitar and grunts. "What? You want me to give you my guitar? This isn't a weapon. My performances aren't that bad."

Can Zootloot keep his guitar?

As soon as the group enters the secure market, Urktar constantly scans the booths they pass for either actual weapons or something that could be used as an improvised weapon...preferably something not too expensive, and big enough to be wielded 2-handed.

We'll assume Jack hands over weapons as well, but Jack let me know if you think otherwise.

The guard laughs as Zootloot questions him. "No, you can keep your guitar."

Saldin Marafi’s stall is at the back of a narrow notch in the edge of the Secure Market. You see him with two bodyguards,

Perception, DC 15:

The architecture is such that a skillful sneak might be able to get behind without the guards noticing.

Urktar:

The poles holding up awning stalls can be used as quarterstaffs, though it takes a full round action to detach them from the awning. A couple of pieces of machinery make serviceable, if unwieldy clubs and can be used as improvised weapons. Lastly, the spice itself can be a weapon. PCs can scoop up a handful of spice and make a ranged touch attack as an improvised weapon with a maximum range of 5 feet. This action provokes an attack of opportunity. If a PC hits with a handful of spice, his opponent must make a DC 13 Fortitude save or be blinded for 1 round.

"The statue, you say? And how do you come to suspect I have such a thing? Well, no matter, you clearly know I have it, and I appreciate your candor. And I don't know about it being stolen or not, but I am willing to sell it to you."

After some negotiation, you are able to come to a deal (using Pathfinder funds), and acquire the last statue.

Shortly after you leave the secure market, you are approached by a liveried messenger who delivers an invitation from Grandmaster Torch to dine with him at his inn.

See my notes in discussion.
