Oz takes a deep breath and fires at the critter in AB32.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8

Is Bless still active? I didn't include it.

Jani, Currently, no mites are visible to you and within 30 ft. So, I'll just take a GM liberty and move you to W33 - good coverage, 30 ft away - for now.

Hagan, You fell in W29, on the way to W28.

Despite the cover from her companions and where it was hiding, the mite sticks its big head up just a little too far, getting Oz's arrow through it, and it falls backwards with a clamor of dislodged scrap.

Storn sees the mite who hasn't acted bulge its eyes out grotesquely and feels the sense of doom wash over him.
DC 10 Will save or 'shaken' for 1 minute.

Wuliem (SR) and Oz (R 1) are up!

Oz's smile is so huge it threatens to split her face in half. She practically dances to X32 and, singing a ridiculous little song to herself, she fires at X26.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

"This reminds me so much of growing up!" she tells Turan gleefully. "Storn's beard is a little shorter now, but still, it's all very homely."

Wuliem, There is the "wall of kilns, ovens and forges [that] divides the workshop into two vast chambers" in the rectangle Y to AD 28 to 30. I also said that the walkway was difficult terrain, but I'll say that doesn't apply to the central walkways around the kilns.

Turan, There is a 10' square pit in front of you, between you and the mites (the yellow boxed area). Do you have a spear to throw or something? Or, you could take a 10' run, jump 10' (DC 10) to X27, incur an AoO, but get your attack in. You've got a bit of time to decide, though.

Oz skips forward to where she has a clear shot at a mite and fires, hitting it! It squeals in a grim accompaniment to the song, but doesn't quite fall over.

Turan runs past Storn and easily leaps over pit (and Hagan) and rounds the corner after the fleeing, better armed and armored mite. He finds that it has slipped and fallen prone of the grime and vermin of the boards, but he can't quite make it close enough to deliver his blow.

She peers over the edge at Hagan.

Storn and Wuliem continue rounding the wall of kilns, as does Torvic, who slows dramatically when he reaches the greater piles of junk and more treacherous areas of the walkway.

Hagan tries to get up the stone wall, but can't find good hand or footholds, even on the relatively crude walls of the pit.
Under Climb, a DC of 20 is given to "An uneven surface with narrow handholds and footholds, such as a typical wall in a dungeon."

Hopefully someone has rope, though if you search the place you might be able to find enough lengths of chain to work together. We needed three sets of rope to get through one scenario, and many people with negative climb modifiers from armor, encumbrance, or strength will need pre-knotted ropes to quickly make an escape.

"While you guys were dealing with the mite, I've been looking around..." says Herman shrugging. "He didn't seem like that much of a threat to me....Anyway, it appears there is a door on the south side of the room with many voices moaning as if in pain, and then down there," he points down the stairs that lead under the rotten flooring, "there looks to be mats and bedding of some sort, maybe where the mites live?"

"Which do you want to check out next?" Herman asks the group as a whole.

Before they leave the room, he casts Detect Magic on the fallen mites in case they are hoarding something of value or interest.

Hmm. Storn's three rolls confuse me... The first one wouldn't be enough to kill (it still had 11 hp), but someone will get it and we're all done with this guy, anyway. Fortunately, he didn't get to team up with this other guy...

Torvic: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 171d8 ⇒ 6
Torvic, for good measure, also finally lands a heavy battleaxe blow on the creature, or some chunk of it.

Nothing on any of the mites detects as magical, but you still want to search them, right?
When you search the mites, you find mostly mundane gear, size small and of indifferent quality, but the lead mite has a set of masterwork thieves' tools and a key.

Jumping ahead...
Looking down under the rotting boards you find a second level to the workshop, once storing materials and additional work spaces, but now everything appears to have fallen to looting, vandalism, and decay over the two centuries since. There are indeed a dozen or more of the filthy, flea-infested fibrous mats between the two lower levels, as well as disgusting things that may be foods, eating utensils, and the like.

Wuliem makes his way over to the pit. He peer down at Hagan.

I wager a bit of rope would assist you?

He then reaches into his pack, producing a rope.

Wuliem would definitely be interested in those Thieves' Tools(mw)

Herman makes a thorough check of the sleeping mats etc to make sure there isn't something of inordinate value hidden among the refuse.

I was just going on the fact that you said I had two actions - so I took two actions and on the second I rolled a threat.

Storn wrinkles his nose as he looks down the stairs.

"What's going -on- here? Did someone say they heard moaning?"

Hagan climbed up the rope. I don't need a check here, do I?

"Thank you, Wuliem. That was not a pleasant experience."
