1) Average.
2) Will consult after turkey dinner and get back to you on that.

            Didn't realize the discussion thread was open. Happy belated Thanksgiving, lol.
@GM
I have a question about how we want to handle one of my major abilities. I bolded below the part that I think is going to be tricky in the PbP format.
Opportune Parry and Riposte (Ex):
At 1st level, when an opponent makes a melee attack against the swashbuckler, she can spend 1 panache point and expend a use of an attack of opportunity to attempt to parry that attack. The swashbuckler makes an attack roll as if she were making an attack of opportunity; for each size category the attacking creature is larger than the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler takes a –2 penalty on this roll. If her result is greater than the attacking creature's result, the creature's attack automatically misses. The swashbuckler must declare the use of this ability after the creature's attack is announced, but before its attack roll is made. Upon performing a successful parry and if she has at least 1 panache point, the swashbuckler can as an immediate action make an attack against the creature whose attack she parried, provided that creature is within her reach.

@Ember:
2) Hit point retraining is allowed.
3) Sure.
@Evelina:
Hmm...that does look like we've put ourselves in quite the predicament. I'll try and figure out how to connect with all of the others for more streamlined combat scenarios since Skype isn't an option.*
@Everyone: Three hours ago was five o'clock (EST) and it was PITCH BLACK. Not to mention the fact that there's a possibility of the roads icing over. Sheesh...
Now back to gameplay!
------
*: How about Google chat? We don't need the camera, and if we set up an assigned time in advance, it should work for the trickier parts of combat.

@GM: Sound fair. If it helps as long as I am at full Panache you can assume I will probably try to parry an attack coming my way.
I'm fine with Google or Skype chat. Again microphone will be iffy depending on the time, because I am currently confined to a shared living room.

            For alternate methods of communication, may I suggest either emails or phone numbers? I understand that a number of our players are overseas in Europe, making coordination during hectic scenes quite the chore. I myself have an iPhone, and I'm fairly sure that I won't get charged for international text messaging if I use the wi-fi to send messages. Otherwise, a wifi based chat application might just work...

So for the indefinite future, I will try to post updates to the campaign from my iPhone. Please be patient while I try to sort my Wi-Fi out as well as forgive any typing or formatting mistakes should they arise in future posts.
If you have any idea as to why my computer's doing this or have gone through similar experiences where you are and have resolved them, i'd appreciate any input you can provide.

            Bad news guys. My computer is giving me problems, by which I mean "started to smoke in the middle of typing". Long story short, the cooling unit broke and I'm currently in the middle of getting it replaced. Since I only have pdf files of RoW stuck on that computer (which should be safe regardless of the smoke), there's gonna be at least a few days until I can make substantial posts. Sorry for the delay.

            Bringing this to discussion, so as to not bog down gameplay.
The book says that the trap crits on 19/20, and I have to roll to confirm said crit as per the usual.
Usually a 19-20 crit range requires you to naturally roll a 19 or 20 before modifiers (like with a longsword or a light crossbow. By core Pathfinder, its not usually possible to get a critical hit without rolling at least a 15. I think the 20th level ability for the Inspired Blade Swashbuckler archetype is the only thing I have seen that gets it lower.
Edit: That awkward moment when someone posts the same thing as you and the same time...lol

| Rorgar Brewmaster |

            right from the CRB, pg 184
Critical Hits: When you make an attack roll and get a
natural 20 (the d20 shows 20), you hit regardless of your
target’s Armor Class, and you have scored a “threat,”
meaning the hit might be a critical hit (or “crit”). To find
out if it’s a critical hit, you immediately make an attempt
to “confirm” the critical hit—another attack roll with all
the same modifiers as the attack roll you just made. If the
confirmation roll also results in a hit against the target’s
AC, your original hit is a critical hit. (The critical roll just
needs to hit to give you a crit, it doesn’t need to come up
20 again.) If the confirmation roll is a miss, then your hit
is just a regular hit.
A critical hit means that you roll your damage more
than once, with all your usual bonuses, and add the rolls
together. Unless otherwise specified, the threat range for a
critical hit on an attack roll is 20, and the multiplier is ×2.
Although, things that say 19/20 or 18-20 use those natural rolls.
Edit, wrong alias.
Also, I am not disputing that I got hit by the trap, just debating weather it was a critical or not. :)

            Hold up though... the trap rolled a "9" unless I'm reading it incorrectly. It's important since all of us of an AC of 19 or less is everybody. Are you sure the book didn't mean 19-20, as in the critical range for many weapons?
I gotta go with Rorgar on this one. If the log crits on a modified 19-20, than it would be a critical more than 50% of the time which is better than even someone wielding a keen scimitar.
