Last magic missile: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Well, they do say "No guts, no glory," right? If this doesn't work, can someone please pull Ioxeia clear and try to stabilize her?
Shaking off the worst of her opponent's blow, which she was half expecting, Ioxeia nonetheless grudgingly revises her opinion of his speed. Struggling to hold him off as Chimaeryus and Gabriel unleash a barrage of magic in his direction, as soon as she sees her opponent's eyes close against the golden cloudburst, she decides to put everything into a last desperate manoeuvre. Bracing for the worst, she leaves herself open to attack for a moment as she folds a spell over her rapier and thrusts. Spellstrike with chill touch: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 10 If successful, weapon damage: 1d6 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 5 and spell: 1d6 ⇒ 4, Fort DC 14 to negate 1 Str damage.

As Gallusand Throfinn continue to move up after the others Gabriel shots glittering dust at the half elf, which seems to blind him as Chim lobs another ball of force the slams into the man. Ioxeia continuing her heavy assualt tries to strike at the man, but even being blind he manages to avoid the blade. He was at -5 AC FYI
The half-elf turns knowing the door was right behind him and opens the doors, then he slowly moves out of them.
AoO from Ioxeia and Gabriel, then party is up

Ioxeia's masked head twitches in annoyance as the half-elf manages to avoid her strike. As he fumbles to open the door, she snakes her blade back and tries again, pressing the attack as best she can.
Spellstrike: 1d20 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 17and, if that's good enough: 1d6 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 + 1 = 7weapon, plus, for the spell: 1d6 ⇒ 1.
I'm not sure that's how spellstrike is supposed to work, honestly; Ioxeia's my first magus. As near as I can figure it out, she still has her charge left because she missed the first time, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks, I think I may have been confusing things with house rules from an old campaign based on degrees of failure and that sort of thing. I just wanted to make sure that I hadn't missed something and inadvertently assumed an advantage that I shouldn't be getting. Anyway, back to the matter at hand...
Incredible, Ioxeia thinks, as the half-elf obstinately resists capture. From the corner of her eye, she sees Thorfinn relentlessly close the gap, and takes heart.
I suppose it would be futile to threaten that he cannot escape, she adds, noting the tighter confines of the room ahead and another set of doors that should slow him down just sufficiently. As Thorfinn surges ahead, though, Ioxeia realizes her own difficulties, and hastens to take her place beside him, clambering over a pile of small casks until she's balanced well enough to continue her harrying strikes. Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 1 = 6 Nonetheless, although she avoids slipping from the uneven footing, a solid hit escapes her.

Lets try acid splash on Tsuto
ranged Touch into combat: 1d20 + 2 - 8 ⇒ (4) + 2 - 8 = -2 added in all penalties hope you don't mind
damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

As the half-elf moves away Ioxeia manages to get in a blow, but it doesn't seem to hinder the man. Everyone moves up to try and surround the half-elf. He opens the door and continues to try and run away.
AoO from Throfinn, Ioxeia and Gallus.

Thorfinn Feigrsson |

Thorfinn is taken completely by surprise when Tsuto shifts direction and moves past him, and the dwarf barely manages to wave his axe in the half-elf's general direction.
AoO on Tsuto: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Gallus Domitus |

AOO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d10 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 222d10 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (5, 3) + 4 + 4 = 16Total 29
Seeing an opening between Ioxeia and Thorfin Gallus swings his Glaive high and drops it like some giant axe straight into Tsuto's fleeing back.

Chimaeryus immediately starts looking through the half elfs clothing and effects for anything thst may be of interest. His scavenger instincts getting the best of him.

a really nice looking ring

Detect magic while digging. Chimaeryus places everything of interest in a pile near the body of Tsuto.
His monotonous voice oozes from his mouth
He has a diary. Does anybody see anything they want?"
Thinking about his time on ship, he remembers something about booty.
"Make sure Ameiko does not see any of us wearing any of the jewelry, that is if she is alive."

Thorfinn Feigrsson |

"Some of this might be hers, Chim. Best we give her the pick of it." While the dwarf speaks he walks back up the way the party came. He's about to kill the sleeping goblins when he pauses. "Let's tie them up and give them to the Sheriff. Maybe he can get them to talk, now that Tsuto's mouth has been shut." He binds the pair with some of the rope he carries.

In the pause after Gallus' terrific blow, Ioxeia catches her breath, gingerly testing her goblin-battered limbs. While Thorfinn takes care of the surviving goblins and Chimaeryus sorts through the bloody wreckage of their leader, the journal catches Ioxeia's eye. "I'll take a look at that diary, Chimaeryus, unless you've got an eye for it, and come back for the bow, if no one has any objection."
She drifts back into the main workshop, and peers through the glass of the gruesome centrepiece to find out who it might be, if not Ameiko. Looking up, she comments, "Shall we see what else is on this floor before going downstairs?"
If she does get her hands on the journal, she'll quickly leaf through it to try to get a sense of its contents.

Chimaeryus gladly hands the journal over to the masked elf.
"I need to buy a wand or two, the earrings, ring and platinum pieces can go a long way towards that. I'm not too interested in the rest of the items."
"Amara lost her claim when she was captured."

been rejected, the implications should be ominous nonetheless.
Most of the drawings of of the woman are quite striking, although one on the last pages of the book portrays her with a single demonic hand, and also bat wings, horns, a forked tail, and fangs.
Three short passages in the half-elf's journal contain information that is of particular interest.

Ioxeia leafs quickly through the small book before snapping it shut again, but chooses her words carefully nonetheless, glad that no one can see her blushing. "Well, that's ... interesting. Some sort of, erm, erotica, and rather a lot more goblin tactics. It's dangerous business, though at least we know now who led the goblins on their raid. It will take a closer reading to see what next move they might be planning."

"Hmmm? Let's see," Ioxeia says, calling up her cantrip's sight and casting a glance at the bauble in Gabriel's hands. Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 She tries to focus, but her thoughts are still all over the place.

GM Dak |

Checking out the rest of the Glassworks, you don't find much of interest other than a bloody mess in the mass bed chambers. You get the idea that a number of the mutilated bodies in the main room are workers, likely sleeping when the attack occured. The one man encased in glass has a bit of a resembalance to the half-elf, at least his human looking aspects.

"Lets finish exploring before getting the guards. I'm worried about other dangers here as well... Actually some backup wouldn't be bad in case things go pear shaped, I'll step out send somebody for help and then we can go exploring and we'll have backup on the way."
Baring any objections Gabriel will do such.

"It's a ring of protection," Ioxeia says, handing it back to Chimaeryus. "This one's got just a shade of magic bound to it, but still, it's nothing to sneer at."
She undoes a couple of convenient thongs from her pouch-belt and ties up the journal, letting it dangle against her thigh. Looking up, she slings her shield over her shoulders as she catches up. "I agree. We earned a bit of a respite thanks to Gabriel's quick thinking even with a battered-down door, but I would rather not have a skittish local do our explaining for us, once someone works up the courage to peek inside."
She takes an appraising look at each of the others. "Not to put too fine a point on it, but I can only hope there's not another surprise downstairs. I'm certainly, and I think Chimaeryus too, down to cantrips. I'm willing to press on, but I'll have to provide support from the rear, and honestly, there's a part of me for cleaning up, barring the doors, and seeing if anything comes up to beat on them during the night."
Determined to put a brave face on it, Ioxeia does not directly refer to the solid beating she's received, but she wordlessly picks up their deceased foe's bow and tests its draw before snatching up his quiver too. I'll have to beg a blessing from the priest or some hedge witch when all this is over, I'm sure.
