Never got past 2nd level in a game. This is my idea:
Neminia Goldenhair
Description:
This diminutive beauty seems almost angelic in her appearance, overly large blue eyes and hair that is truly the color of spun gold lending a child-like innocense to her gaze. In some odd way, the innocent gaze is in sharp contrast with the delecate beauty of her high cheekbones and rose-red petal shaped mouth, sexualizing her otherwise child-like appearance in an off-putting way. The combination of innocent seductiveness creates seems to create both an illicit allure and a need to protect the cherubic figure.
At just over three feet tall and slender, Neminia might be taken for a slender little girl, but closer expection reveals an extremely femine figure with just enough curve to please the eye.
Background:
Neminia's remarkable beauty in her petite form, combined with a keen intellect and a rapacious desire for power over those around her set her aside from her peers from a very young age. She quickly learned how easy it was to manipulate her peers and adults, especially those of the larger races, who simply couldn't believe that the innocent beauty was capable of the lies and manipulation that always seemed to place Neminia at an advantage with those around her. Starting with always seeming to have the best clothes, trinkets, and sweets, and eventually into more insidious plays for power, Neminia never quite seemed to cross any line and authority figures seemed to always believe her to be in the right, no matter what dasterdly deed she was accused of.
Growing into womenhood made things even worse, as men of all races seemed to fall prey to her maniplulations while her female peers curried her favor. Gifts in the form of coins, jewels, and most importantly favors seemed to always find their way to Neminia and she always seemed to know just how far someone would go on her behalf. Soon, enemies who gained her ire or attempted to turn her in would find themselves intimidated, beaten, or worse, by those trying to curry her favor... and she was simply never held responsible as no one could believe that pretty little Neminia could do the things she was accused of. Worse, as her beauty became more sexualized with age, she was all to willing to flirt - or more - to gain loyalty or manipulate jealousy, always to her benefit. However, she had developed minor abilities at healing and was an accomplished singer as well, adding to her image as an innocent healer and artist and a benefit to society at large.
Eventually the game became boring, and she began to expand her influence and try to gain true wealth and power, but unfortunately her mark was parent of a child that Neminia had punished brutally in her youth. On to Nemenia's tricks, the mark lured her into a trap and exposed her attempt to obtain a large tax-payment owed to the crown by false payment while framing the mark as a corrupt tax collector. This has left her doomed to a life of hard labor in the salt mines, with little hope to escape...

My Righteous game just died. Aaargh.
Justin D'Rite aka Sluuth
I am now in three kingmaker games--two crawling along, one at a moderate pace. A Carrion Crown, Rise of the Runelords, and Jade Regent that are all in lulls. Just started Rappan Athuk that may have died before the first encounter. Started a Skulls and Shackles that seem to be moving just fine.
The Grimmy games are moving along. My old school AD&D PbP of ToEE seems to be dead--my old school gnome illusionist/thief is all dressed up with nowhere to go (elven cloak, staff of striking and wand of Colour Spray). My two year long other Carrion Crown PbP we have killed two whole prisoners. At one a year, we should be on to part 2 in three more years.
I feel the PbP blues too. Hey, I need to keep my Mummy's Masks moving along.
I felt the crazy desire to run two groups of PCs through a Pathfinderized PbP B1-B9 In Search of Adventure after reading up on my old gazeteers about Mystarra.
Kilthan Hammerstone
It would. Spooky's having a hard time of things and needed to withdraw.
Aarakess Halcorn
I keep looking at my ToEE and banging my head with a lack of energy. I really need to figure out how to get that one going again.
I have a bunch of campaigns moving at a decent pace. My fastest game - a Way of the Wicked campaign that wracked up about 15,000 IC and 5,000 OOC posts in 18 months came to a halt when the DM suddenly had a RL change. Hoping that it will restart - fingers crossed. Several other of my long time games are having similar problems with reliable long time DMs suddenly having RL issues.

I was worried about Spooky. Seemed like a really good guy with far too big dreams. I was in a WotW campaign with him that also had to be halted. I expect him to return, but whether he will be able to resume waits to be seen.
The key thing about Spooky is that he posted announcing his issues and apologizing. I have been in a number of campaigns where the DM just disappeared. This sucks twice - you lose a campaign, and then are stuck with an idle campaign for 3 months until it clears from the Campaign tab.

I've GM'd ToEE a couple too many times to ever get an itch for that as a GM again.
My time for the past several years has been dedicated to home brews so I'm new to most adventure paths with this PbP being my primary access. Enjoying exploring them (including this one) for the first time.
Glad to have fallen amongst some quality players as it has been pretty hit-and-miss up until recently.
Kilthan Hammerstone
I've been in more than a few games where the GM just vanished, so, yes, I know that feeling all too well, myself.
I've been very lucky to get into at least a few solid groups -- it's depressingly rare to be able to go from 1-8 in a PbP. :)
One question: Did we accomplish all the shopping before heading in to be ambushed by drow? :) I've not updated based on any changes.

I can use a dwarf fighter or cleric in my B1-B9 In Search of Adventure. I had a drop after the stagesetting post. And people wonder why I insist on large parties when doing open recruitment.
If anyone is interested in old school core only Pathfinder in Karameikos, let me know. The Black Baron, one of my favorite villians--reminds be of Baron Harkonnen in Dune.

Did Dryn say she was going to be away? I think this is the longest without a post that I can recall.
GM Blood
I am just going to move on and delay her. I planned on updating this weekend, but an impromptu decision to take our son to a Brewers game and then running into my best friend from high school (who also comes every couple of months to play Age of Worms) and heading to his house for an impromptu grill out ended any chance of that happening.
Hopeful can update here soon!

I'm certain it's been noticed that my posting's been sparse as of late. I'm afraid that if I continue this will keep happening, and will probably just get worse. I've tried a few things to keep up (drop games, schedule posting time, etc), but it hasn't helped enough. At this point I'm just dragging things out. So rather than continue on this course I think the most prudent thing for me to do would be to drop the games I'm in.
I do apologize for taking this course of action. I don't like quitting things, which honestly is just as much part of the problem. I've taken on too much, both professionally and personally, and now I'm at that point where everything I'm doing is suffering from it. It's not just here where I've made mistakes and now I need to get things in order. I hope there are no hard feelings but I do understand if there are. Once again, I'm sorry for this.
Kilthan Hammerstone
I'll fully admit to being disappointed -- I never like losing one of the founding members of a group.
However, having said that, I totally understand that real life comes first -- and my disappointment is just from the sense of loss -- it's been great playing with you.
I'll miss it, but there are absolutely no hard feelings here.... and hope you do at least pop in on occasion to say hi.
Justin D'Rite aka Sluuth
Drynn -- you will be missed -- I liked you so much, I tried to get you in a game twice. Rather than say goodbye in multiple threads, let me say here the core group is pretty strong--and you were a major part of it. The early swarms was where you saved our bacon the first time.
Stop by and say hi once in a while.
If I could recommend a replacement (as this is probably my longest running game):
Link to best poster for me in three years and Portugese Venture lieutenant
Kilthan Hammerstone
But who'll blast our enemies into very finely burned bits now? ;)
Aarakess Halcorn
With me, it is the other side that has to worry about swarms now.
If we need another, I have to agree that Edeldhur has been an excellent poster in several campaigns I have been in with him.
Although 5 works for me as we have a fairly good mix at present.
GM Blood
Happy 4th everyone! I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has been in this game the last 2+ years, including Dryn who just had to leave, and Skorhald who has recently joined. I am blessed to have so many great players both in this game and my other one, and I couldn't do it without you guys.
Hopefully we can all (including me) keep plugging away at this AP and someday see the end together!
Kilthan Hammerstone
That's certainly the plan. :)
Aarakess Halcorn
Yup, I would love to get all the way through an AP and this looks like my best shot at this point because of good players and a good DM. Two things which are frequently in short supply with pbp.

No worries GMBLood. While not overly busy, going through a bit of a heat wave in BC (near 40°C with humidity). I have not wanted to do overly much in the afternoon. The joys of no air conditioning. If the weather folk are correct, it should hopefully be back to more normal temperatures by Thursday.
Kilthan Hammerstone
All good -- I've recently had both my tablet starting to flake and the paizo site blocked from work (which sucks when you're waiting for a data extraction, now I just sit there and watch the progress bar..) -- so I'm trying to get used to keeping up on my phone, so a bit of a breather is probably helpful
Aarakess Halcorn
Just circumvent the problem. Set up Citrix or something similar and home, or use a proxy server to get to paizo. I wanted to see if an attorney handled any cases in Cook County Illinois once (Chicago), so I wrote a program to one by one go through every family law case in the system, the court's IT people apparently got annoyed after about 50,000 cases and blocked my IP - which also blocked all the other users in the suite - oops. I found that I could use a proxy server, forget which, that easily let me get in.
Kilthan Hammerstone
Sadly, IT policy tends to not love active measures to circumvent them. Tablets, phones and lunch breaks for the win, I guess.
Aarakess Halcorn
I will be out of town this weekend at a Con in Nashua, New Hampshire. If anyone is going to be there, let me know. Posting will be very light, and possibly nonexistent between Thursday afternoon and Sunday evening.
Kilthan Hammerstone
Lucky you! Have fun.
Kilthan Hammerstone
No problem... Everyone needs a break now and then.
GM Blood
Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well.
Update on my status is not good for the short term. As I am nearing the end of a major time sensitive high profile project at work and was heading on to the next one (More high profile but at least less intensive work) we were just notified that we have something else that came up that has to be done in the next 5 weeks (Including the other stuff)
So that means a lot of planning and traveling in my future for work. In addition I accidentally volunteered to be a flag football coach for my son (long story) so I have to plan and do practices and games for the next 2 months. In addition, we have our end of summer vacation and back to school stuff.
What that means is that I think I am going to have to delay starting the game back up. I will look at starting again after Labor Day and will update on the first either a game thing or another timeline update.
However I am not canceling this game no matter what. If anyone has an issue with waiting and wants to drop out I understand, but as soon as this all clears up for me things will start moving again.
Kilthan Hammerstone
While I'd rather not wait and take a delay, I totally get it -- however, the way this site sometimes seems to drop dots for no reason, I'd suggest that you PM us when you're ready to go -- just to be sure that we've seen it.
Kilthan Hammerstone
I'm just being selfish. This has been one of the best games I've been in on these forums, and I don't want to miss the restart and be replaced because of a lost dot. ;)
However, I'm all good with keeping alive with chatting, too.
