Edmund pulls back out the journal, and flipping to a blank set of pages, get's the painters attentions.

"Any chance I could get a smaller copy of this here?"[b] as he hands over the blank canvas. "Or at least a copy of the handsome one?"[/b]

Edmund chuckles to himself, glad for the momentary reprieve and honest humor in the situation. He looks back around the room, making sure he hasn't overlooked something important.

The crazed painter gladly obliges to paint a piece in Edmund's journal, but he also speaks. "I help you, you help me. Stop Derro. Rid the shrine of derros. But I warn you, do not interfere with his shrine or Groetus’s anger will be swift."

Edmund doesn't believe he's overlooked anything, but can clearly see the paper trail as it follows through to an open trap door in the corner of the room that leads down underground. The door would not likely be noticeable if it was not open.

He conspicuously awaits someone else to go down into the hole first, though he does cast detect magic and concentrate on the trapdoor to try to determine if there is any malignant magic there.

Determining there to be no magical aura's, Kazmoro leads the group down into the darkness, into what looks to be the sewage systems that runs through the city of Cassomir. It is extremely unusual for a building to have access to the sewers.

Humans, have a light source and declare it please.

Refuse rushes by in a stream of garbage carried swiftly through the sewer proper. A five-foot-wide dry ledge sits a foot above the refuse and provides a walkway on both the east and west sides of the sewer. On the west wall, a massive iron door blocks passage beyond. An image carved into the door is of a dispassionate figure holding a gibbous moon.

The door is locked. If you wish to cross the waters through the rocks, it is an acrobatics check.

As they pass into the darkness, Nadric waves his hands around and summons two glowing spheres that hover over his head. Dancing Lights, recasting every minute as it runs out

He pauses before the flowing river of sewage, not too keen on the smell. However, the others forge onward undaunted, so he holds his breath and follows them up to the edge. He tosses one end of his rope across to Celas, and then with his help and Kazmoro's Nadric attempts to cross the rocks up to the ledge.

Edmund reaches into his hip pouch and pulls out a flaming, but cold, Ioun stone. Releasing it near his head, the stone levitates about casting its light into the sewer.

"Celas- Did you wan't a light?" he calls out as they come down the ladder.

If Celas needs Light, I will cast it on whatever object he would like. If not- I'll cast light on an arrow because that's what I seem to do all the time

Edmund comes to the edge of the sewer, watching as Kazmoro and Celas scamper across to the other sided. Once they are both on the other side, he awaits his turn to try and cross the "stream". Man this is gross...

Once on the other side, Edmund takes up a position beside Kazmoro, arrow knocked and ready.

"Ugh...a sewer. Why does it have to be a sewer? Why don't evil masterminds ever flee into rose gardens or hate me?" Razka asks as he finds himself at the edge of the river of filth.

He lights up a sunrod as the darkness grows then gladly accepts Kazmoro's help when his turn comes.

He balances on the other side, behind one of the tougher guys.

The majority of the group skips and hops over the rocsk with ease, with the exception of Nadric. Even with help, he manages to find a poor footing and slips right into the dirty flowing sewage water. And has to pick himself up to the other side.

Fortitude DC12 or fall sick with Cassomir Filth Fever! The onset of effect is 1d3 days, so it will not really mechanically effect you in this game.

Zarzuket waits on the other side, just watching, attempting to judge for himself how difficult the jump is.

Edmund takes a careful look at the door, while he vaguely makes out shifting noises from the other side, he is fairly confident the door is not trapped in any way, albeit it is locked.

Nadric experiences a dizzying sensation as his foot loses its purchase on the slippery rock and he goes toppling over into the disgusting stream.

He doesn't feel any ill effects taking hold, but the thought of sitting in some kind of filth makes him shiver with disgust. He leaps up and clings to the rope to climb up on the ledge with the others.

"I can take a look at it, just give me a minute," he grumbles while he tries to wipe off his leather armor before anything unsavory has a chance to soak in. He then squelches over to the door to see how tricky of a lock it is.

There will be a time to tease Nadric about his stench- but now is not that time, Edmund thinks to himself. Nothing quite like the smell of a sewer to make you rethink your life choices...

That's fine with me, I am all about volunteering other people to be put harm's way!

As Nadric is working on the lock, Edmund recites a short prayer to himself, reverently touching his heart. As he finishes, he feels his spirits lift- ready to take on the next challenge.

As the lock clicks open, Edmund silently draws an arrow, putting light pressure on the string. He looks around at his companions- ready to fall in line with them when the door opens.

A purple radiance washes over this cold chamber from a variety of lichens and fungi that grow on the walls and ceiling creating an otherworldly sheen. Straw-filled cages line the north and south walls. In the room’s center, a strange pedestal, carved in the likeness of dozens of grasping tentacles, sits fixed into the stone floor. In a few of the cages, starved humans could be seen wasting their life away.

Surprise rounds allow free action, so 5ft step is not out of line.

Kazmoro immediately jumps through and attempts to take on the creature. He is able to see the creature as some sort of undead, similar to the ghoul you've fought a while back while rescuing the engineers from the Hall of Wonders, but with a much more vile, and wild look. Sharper teeth, claws, and seems to purely act on instinct. Additionally, an overwhelming stench of death fills the air around him.

Stench in a 10ft radius. DC15 negate or be sickened for 1d6+4 minutes. I'll roll for Kazmoro as it might affect his attack roll.

Kazmoro Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Kazmoro is unaffected by the smell and continues to go in strong armed with his kama. He hooks around the corner and cuts deep into the undead. But at the same time, the monster bites his arm, and creates a wound that starts to have a burning sensation.

Edmund steps up, and looks for a narrow alleyway to stick an arrow. It's a tight angle, but part of the creature flashes visible and Edmund takes his shot.

Celas makes his way forward for a clear shot at the enemy, with Kaz standing in the way and a wall to contend with it is better to try for a single clear shot than two dicey ones. Even if that provokes an AoO.

The short moment leaves very little for Edmund to get his shot in, and when he does. The creature has already retreated into it's hiding area.

Celas sees a brief opening and moves through the enclosed space. Fortunately for him, the Ghast notices him a little too late, and Celas safely reaches around it, and in turns fires a sure shot at the wide open creature.

Nadric can’t quite see what’s lurking just inside the building, but whatever it is seems to be taking bites out of his friends. He takes a step forward then draws an arrow and cranes his neck to try to find a workable angle of attack.

You do have line of sight, but there is some cover and concealment stuff. But you're right with that roll! This could be one nasty fight!

We'll wait till Kazmoro's saves before I resolve the enemies attack, as it could make a big difference here!

Kazmoro stands strong in the face of danger, which provokes the undead further. Stepping out, giving others a clear view of it, he continues to lash out at Kazmoro and put Celas into a tight corner. He lashes out at Kazmoro with a flurry of natural attacks, and Kazmoro does his best to dodge every one of them. However well he does it, a single claw lands and scratches Kazmoro's arms. He has taken quite a beating, and is on the verge of collapsing.

Seeing Kazmoro's life in grave danger, the rest of the pathfinders press on the attack to attempt to take down the threat of the ghast immediately.

Nadric and Razka get some good shots in there, weakening the ghast tremendously. It is clearly very bloodied. Edmund finds himself overwhelmed by the stench, to a point it affects his performance.

The creature is caught offguard with Celas's unusual strategy to fire it at extremely close range. It doesn't react timely leaving it open to a clear shot from Celas. A volley right into the heart of the undead brings it crashing to the ground. Celas bold decision has paid off this time round.

Seeing the ghast fall Edmund turns, falls to his knees, and loses his stomach against the chamber wall. Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand he slowly regains his feet and a very pale Edmund stumbles over to the fallen Kazmoro.

As he fishes out his wand, Celas has already managed to revive their fallen comrade- and Edmund slides back down to the disgusting floor.

Looking up from the ground, Edmund still appears quite pale. Responding to Zarzuket he says ”I wouldn’t mind a few minutes to get my feet back under me either.”

Rummaging through his bag- he pulls out 2 vials of holy water, and one container of holy weapon balm.

” I hadn’t gotten the chance to pull these out yet, but I’ll keep them close. The balm can go on about 10 arrows. It doesn’t last long, but we can try to share the arrows across all the bows”
