Heya people! It must be something of an epidemic (no NHS pun intended) starting here on the Isle, because my laptop's hard drive broke yesterday. I'll do my best to continue posting, from the phone or university computers, but I thought I should let you guys know.

Hi minoritarian. I've been looking up medium - I'm not sure at this point of time how I feel about participating in a seance. What, urm...where you channeling again? Is it good or evil?

As Raseed is a relic channeler what he's really channelling is the memories/essence of people he's known through items that were important to them rather than their actual spirits. A few (most) of them are dead - but they were good people!

Yeah, I suppose Pharasma has a really long queue, you can get pretty bored. Must as well send part of you to see some sights in Golarion, no?

Next question - can cats (if they have 3 int) participate in a seance? (Probably a GM question)

It's got three Int. Three Int means it understands language, right? I think it should be okay.

As an aside, I've noticed I tend toward permissiveness. Please ask, and I'll usually say yes unless there's a compelling reason to say otherwise.

Would not put it against you said not, my local culture here is such, if it sounds impossible, it cannot be done.

I.e animal companions here are not allowed to learn improved unarmed strike. Also, if you're taking a non humanoid, non monstrous physique form(i.e elementals), you can't use weapons.

Also note - power level for something that has 3 attacks (i.e. Minali, will be quite significantly improved if there's a +2 dmg per hit) - thus it may pose balance issues.

But I digress. I prefer things to be worked out in advance so that at least I know what can/cannot be done.

You know, in our Goblin game you could make the argument that Mort is an animal companion and therefore is entitled to animal companion boons ;)

I suspect that Ronk is Mort's animal companion, really. You point him in a direction and give him command words like, "Attack!"

Unfortunately, he's harder to control than most animal companions. Not even handle animal works.

Nope. But you can occasionally distract him into doing so, with food, sex or superior millinery creations.

Nah it's all good, it's a holiday week for us Americans. I've been spotty too.

I have a question: Why is thanksgiving called Happy Turkey Day? Considering what's on the menu, I don't think the Turkeys are very happy?

Sorry for being gone so long. My laptop is in the shop, which means all my notes for this game are too. It also had the misfortune of breaking completely over break (hence the lack of posts).

Thanks for the words of sympathy. I do have a computer, but since it's not a laptop and most of my downtime was waiting between work and the gym (away from home), there's less time to run out posts. I anticipate having my laptop back by the end of next week.

Also - I did not post the results of my actions(awaiting gm input), because Padiskar is a small place, the inn you currently are staying may well be the only place to be, or is there because of plot reasons.

ETA: Ah nope, that's Raseed isn't it. That's a good question, what are we doing with him?

So far, I've been assuming Raseed slipped away. He was a sneaky fellow.

I have no idea what to do about him, really. Part of why we recruited Jyoti in the first place is because he was spotty, so I'm not sure picking up another would be the right thing to do. I think for now we just assume he's off doing whatever he's doing and get back to him when we can.

I'm sorry for not posting here. I've been working on how best to kill a character in my Kingmaker game and the aftermath it'll have. Also, the last two weeks of school before Christmas are amazingly stressful if you teach a room full of first-graders.

Have a monster post in the making but that will need to wait till I get some free time, maybe 7-10h from now.

Oh, how I want that bath! It sounds very nice. I loved the animal companion interplay. Tipper, Gosk and the others are starting to really come into their characters.

The first three or four pages are always the most awkward for me. It's when players are starting to figure out their characters' voices and I'm seeing what works and what doesn't. None of my characters have ever been quite as I envisioned them, with one exception.

Mine usually are, but I usually deepen my understanding of them as gameplay progresses. I look forward to seeing how this one develops. India is my favorite setting, and Aest is one of my favorite GMs.

Good news/Bad news.

I got my laptop back!

However, the hard drive was pretty well toasted, so they replaced it. It was covered by the warranty, but it's still a problem. There wasn't anything too important on it, with the exception of my game notes for this game (and a pretty active Steam account).

No post tonight while I try reconstructing the game environment. For sure a post tomorrow, though. Sorry.

No clue what password could be, it's usually not in Jyoti's nature to lie, but she'll try asking about the ways of the Goddess Naderi (unless anyone has serious objections). Not that soon though, need to get some stuff done first(RL time), just throwing out ideas. Unless someone would like to do the bluffing, which I'm fine with.

I'll be away, most likely until Monday sometime, for my little brother's college graduation. Sorry for the continued delays. This week was the worst week of the year to be in the education profession. The kids were nuts.

I have a healthy respect for anyone in the education profession managing to stay sane. How do you do it? :)

I'd blame the kids behaviour on too much sugar, x-mas is coming and there's so much sweet stuff around.

Just a heads up, my posting will be sporadic until Christmas is over. I have a lot going on this week that is eating up my free time. I'll post when I have a chance, it will just take me longer than usual.

I was under the impression that I had not gone to the old woman's house with the rest of the group. I've been staying out because of that.

So is he there with the rest of the group or back at the rooms?
