Well I'm not going to attack the box or try to touch it with goblins outside the box attacking the party. So I guess I'll spend all 30 of move to position myself between the goblin and Rauol so I can flank it while avoiding AoO , and while moving switch to my flail. attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 8 + 2 = 11 for damage: 1d10 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 6 + (5) = 12

I just wanted to try this trick - I saw another caster do it before. If it's causing problems I can dismiss it on my next round.

Raoul breaks his concentration, allowing the illusory box to disappear, revealing the chief, his lizard and another goblin.

He reaches down into his spell component pouch and draws a bit of butter, rubbing it between his thumb and forefinger.

"With my arcane grease, I shall bring you to your knees!"

As the metal box disappears, you see the chief atop the lizard and they are sticking to the wall. The chanting goblin is still behind the throne.

Raoul casts grease on the floor around the throne. The chanting goblin is standing in the goo and tries to keep its footing. The chief had apparently mounted the lizard and it is 5' high climbing on the eastern wall.

The chanter easily avoids the slippery effect.

Andrazi slashes the goblin standing next to him and severs its head completely from its small body.

Jory starts his hail of arrows, hitting the goblin next to Andraste first, and drops it.

The next closest goblins are in combat with Kyra. The second arrow misses, sticking in a doorframe, but the third one hits. The goblin is severely wounded, but does not go down.

Since Andraste's goblin was dropped by Jory, will assume she moved up to swing on the chief or lizard on the wall. Either way her blade misses its target.

I'm on the wrong spot on the map. I moved to be between the wizard and the goblin when the box went up.

Seeing his opponent killed by an arrow, Al rushes to the cleric's aid and attacks the goblin to her east 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 for damage: 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Aelfward rushes south through the double doors to aid Kyra. He brutally cleaves a goblin and it drops bleeding to the ground.

The chief has the lizard attack Andraste after he slices at Andrazi from their perch on the side wall.

"You longshanks not know your place. Chief Ripnugget make you pay!"

Kyra and Aelfward hear more goblin shouts from down the east hall as a half dozen more pour out of a room and a couple shoot arrows wildly at Kyra.

Due to Andraste's curse and her promise earlier, I need to verify that there was nothing Andraste could have done to prevent this death, if there was something she could have done she is now sickened for the next 24 hours.

That was mostly color commentary. I checked its constitution...but it basically went from 0 -staggered to -12 in one chop and would bleed -1 before Andraste's turn. The other fallen goblins are all bleeding except for yours, which had 7 NL damage.

Andrazi's goblin is still twitching and bleeding, but only barely.
Andraste's goblin is knocked out.
Raouls' goblin is bleeding.

Andraste, you have a slim chance, but you would have to do something very soon, or you think the bugger is gonna bite the dust.

And a few have you have noticed that the chief does not seem to be as injured as he was before the metal box went up and down.

Regardless of if the goblin died or not, in fact even more so if it did and Andraste has become sickened, I have decided on the following course of action for this round, I apologize if this inconveniences the group, but its just plainly what she would do.

Channel: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 4, 2) = 12 Selective Channel - Exclude chief, chanter, lizard, and the goblin that I dealt nonlethal to, as the one I dealt non-lethal to would definitely stand up from this amount of healing.

Bright light bursts from Andraste as she holds her Scimitar up speaking to the Goblins. "Lay down your arms while you still have them, I do not wish to fight you, and I wish even less to see senseless violence and needless bloodshed. Please, surrender while you have the chance." She pleads with the Chief and the other standing goblin, as well as any who may become conscious once more from her healing burst.

She drops her sword after the burst of holy energy dissipates, adding "You have been bathed in the love of the Dawnflower, please do not turn away from it."

Ok Andraste, got it. You are not sickened and I will apply the above to your round 4 action. I could try to retcon all of the actions in round 3 but there would be a lot of changes since you would have healed 2 goblins in the room (but not the ones out in the hallway unless you move). Does that work for you?

Andraste, seeing Andrazi severely slash the goblin by him, calls down the divine power of Sarenrae, channeling healing to all in the room except the chief, lizard and chanter. She implores a peaceful solution and drops her weapon. Two of the goblins on the floor appear to be healed of their injuries, although one is still not conscious.

Her channel heals all in the room with 12pts, but Kyra, Aelfward and the goblins in the hall are not affected due to range.

The chanting goblin laughs at the priestess as she continues chanting and reaches up to cure the chief of more of his wounds.

Raoul switches his wand of magic missile back to his main hand and takes a few steps forward into the room. Raoul flourishes the wand and sends a magic missile to the chanting goblin.

Raoul moves forward and shoots another of the magical bolts directly into the chanting goblin. She lets out a howl at the pain.

Andrazi steps carefully into the grease beneath the chief and the lizard. His blade cuts into the throne and misses the goblin.

Jory moves north into the room but still does not have a clear shot at the chanter. He pulls back and with careful aim, drills an arrow into the throne.

check the map...if Jory wanted to get closer he needs to save vs grease.

Aelfward pulls out a smoke pellet and fills the south hallway with smoke before the advancing archers.

The chief laughs at Andraste's gesture and healing.

"Hah! You weak! Chief Ripnugget goblins strong. No surrender...destroy you!"

With that the chief urges the lizard to bite at Andrazi followed by him slashing down with his short sword.

Andraste will take a step back, point at the chief and ask, "If you will not surrender, at least tell me where the 'longshanks' you are working with are." while she casts confess.

If the chief does not answer truthfully, in common, he takes 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7 damage and is sickened for 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7 rounds. Will DC 16 for half damage and to avoid the sickened condition.

Andraste steps back and casts a spell on the chief. It is uncertain what his response will be as he appears to consider what to say (on his turn).

The chanter shouts to the chief...

"Do not answer her mighty chief, the she-witch tries to trick you!"

The chanter points a stick at the ceiling and speaks an arcane word. A black curtain falls from the ceiling, separating the room (see line).

Raoul tries to identify the nature of the curtain, thinking it is likely a spell. He takes a step backwards and launches another magic missile, this time at the goblin that attacked, but missed, him.

You suspect it is VERY similar to a spell you recently cast, but from a wand...either that or a variant of Evard's Deadly Curtain Spell...it is hard to say.

Raoul shoots another bolt of force at his assailant. The goblin grunts at the obvious pain, but glares at the elf wizard with renewed vigor.

Al locks the double doors in front of him, takes a 5 foot step back then takes 2 sets of caltrops from his Handy Haversack and places them in the two five squares directly north of the doors he just locked.

He says to Kyra "Really, I think it times to go."

Aelfward watches as his cloud of yellow smoke dissipates...revealing 3 goblin archers had moved up in the hall.

The mighty fighter pulls both of the double doors shut and locks the doors (2 moves) and steps back. He thinks about dropping caltrops but runs out of time.

I could not find official ruling on locking a door. I found something saying it was probably a move action. Closing 2 doors and locking would not leave time to pull out caltrops. You could leave doors unlocked and drop caltrops though...let me know.

I didn't know how long locking a door would take either, I think it' unlikely that an ordinary goblin is going to have a key to those doors so I'll lock them. Next round if I still think it's a good idea I will put the caltrops down.
