Raoul Kasabian

Raoul takes a deep breath. Don't look down, Raoul, he thinks to himself. He takes careful steps to make it across the bridge without incident (hopefully).
When he makes it to the other side, Raoul looks at the others. "Shall we try diplomacy with these little ones? If not, I have a spell that could help us take them with minimum harm to them, if I can get close enough." He was still thinking of the plea from the goblin to not harm any others.
Andraste, Oracle of Sarenrae
|
"A spell might work, but can you get them all?" Andraste asks upon hearing Raoul's suggestion while they cross the bridge, adding, "Diplomacy might take too long though, I fear if we try that route we may be forced to fight."

Raoul nods at the others. He removes a scroll from his scroll case. Keepin his voice low, Raoul mutters to himself as he reads over the scroll. "Too bad I didn't get a chance to copy this into my spellbook, ah well."
As the elf reads over the scroll, his body seems to fade from view until he is completely invisible. Raoul grasps a small pearl from his pocket as he carefully makes his way to the group of goblins.
Invisible Stealth: 1d20 + 3 + 20 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 20 = 31
Once he is close enough to the goblins, the wizard reaches into his component pouch and draws a little more of the same sand that he had used before. His other hand tightly grasps the pearl of power.
Suddenly, a cloud of colorful fine dust erupts upon the group of goblins.
Cast color spray using the pearl of power since I had previously cast it. DC 16 Will save.
| GM Aarvid |
You all make it across the bridge by spacing your crossing and only a few boards lost to the sea.
Jory keeps watch as you gather behind thistle bushes. So far the goblins have not noticed. You are about 30' from them.
Another post coming later. Sorry I had no luck updating map from hotel PC .

Raoul sneaks up, past the dogs without being noticed and with a flash of color he becomes visible alerting them to your presence. One of the four goblins falls but the other three were apparently too focused on their game tormenting the seagull.
The rest of you each get one surprise action OR move before round 1 begins. You are 30' or more away from them.

30 feet or more? so no charge for me :(
Andraste will move 20 feet closer and draw her Scimitar.
| GM Aarvid |
You were behind bushes, so no direct charge lanes or they would have already seen your approach. Sorry again about the map. I should be able to get it tomorrow .

Raoul tries to call out to them, "Listen, I am sorry for trying to put you to sleep; however, we are trying to help your tribe and fight against the longshanks that are responsible for the attacks."

Al closes to the nearest goblin and trips him with his glaive when he gets the chance. trip: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
I'm still learning the pathfinder rules, but I'm pretty sure that I can't move and attack during the surprise round, so that attack will go off at the start of the regular rounds right?
Andraste, Oracle of Sarenrae
|
Right, Surprise round is standard or move, not both, or limited charge as a standard, but as mentioned we can't charge.
| GM Aarvid |
Aelfward, Andraste, Kyra and Andrazi all move up to close the distance with the goblins.
Jory steps and shoots at one of the standing goblins, but the arrow sails over the head of his target.
Aelfward moves the remaining distance and easily trips a goblin.
| GM Aarvid |
The two remaining goblins step back and shoot their bows at Alfward.
"Shoot the longshanks! "
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 damage : 1d4 ⇒ 4
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 damage : 1d4 ⇒ 3
While the tripped on tries to cut him from the ground.
"Banzai!!! "
slicer, prone: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 2 - 4 = 15 damage : 1d4 ⇒ 3
All miss the lore warden, although not by much.
Raoul and Kyra are up before the dogs. Both are in charge range ( along with Andraste. However Andrazi an Jory are further back from the front line by their shorter moves during surprise.),
Raoul Kasabian

I'm not sure where I am in relation to the dogs and goblins. It doesn't seem that the map has been updated.
Raoul nods at Jory's observation. He takes a careful step away from any immediate danger, raises his hands and calls out, "Ardere Mâini!" A 15-foot cone of flames erupt from his hands at the gathered enemies he faces.
Burning Hands: 3d4 ⇒ (3, 2, 2) = 7
Moving to catch the greatest number of foes in the cone, but not any of my allies. DC 15 Reflex Save for 1/2 damage.
Kyra of Thistletop

"May the Dawnflower grant you rest so that we may not harm you!
Kyra charges the nearest enemy and strikes at it with the flat of her scimitar.
Scimitar (nonlethal): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Andraste, Oracle of Sarenrae

Andraste will charge at one of the dogs Move her to H4, and attack the dog in H3
"We wish you no harm, please lie down your arms so that we may seek those who told you to attack Sandpoint." The Chelish woman says in Taldane aka Common.
Scimitar (nonlethal): 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 2 = 241d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 1 = 8
This is of course assuming that she can still charge the dog after the dogs act.
| GM Aarvid |
Raoul, with the simple map, can you tell me where you want to move and which direction to cast? Trying to get more dogs or mor goblins etc?.
| GM Aarvid |
Raoul moves up to call flames on three of the rat dogs, he is momentarily distracted but recovers his wits.
3d20 ⇒ (11, 6, 18) = 35
Two of the dogs avoid some of the flames but the middle takes the full force. However none go down.
| GM Aarvid |
Enraged, the 4 dogs move and attack Raoul and Kyra.

I have no problem with provoking an attack from a prone goblin, if he can hit my ac while he's prone I have worse things to worry about.

Andraste charges forward to engage the dog that just bit Kyra.
The prone goblin slashes out at her in passing, barely missing.
slicer: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 4 = 16 damage : 1d4 ⇒ 2
She slaps the dog hard with her blade, but the dog stands firm despite the beating.
Jory shoots a volley of arrows past his friends at the injured dogs. The first two miss, but the last drops the dog facing Raoul.
Andrazi then round 2
| GM Aarvid |
Andrazi moves up and brutally slashes the prone goblin. The humanoid goes limp on the ground.

Map finally updated - I had the temp map off a couple spots, but should still be pretty close.
Aelfward steps over the slain and sleeping goblins and easily trips one of the archers.
The two archers start yelling and the prone one tries to stand to shoot at Aelfward.
Aelfward, you can take AoO as he stands, but not to trip again. Again as he tries to shoot.
The other steps back and shoots as well. Yelling...
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 for dmg: 1d4 ⇒ 3
bow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 for dmg: 1d4 ⇒ 2
The 5' step one manages to hit Aelfward with an arrow for 2pts unless Aelfward was able to Aoo him from reach.

Raoul takes a careful step back, to behind Kyra. (5-foot step) He draws his wand of magic missile and lets an arcane bolt fly at the right-most dog.
MM: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
| GM Aarvid |
With his quick reflexes, Aelfward dispatches both remaining archers before they can fire another shot. The goblins are bleeding out along the wall of the fort.
Raoul rapidly fires a bolt of force into one of the remaining rat-dogs. The bolt strikes true but does not drop the beast.
Kyra of Thistletop
|
Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Kyra sees the goblins bleeding out and grits her teeth. "This could get complicated..."
Kyra casts stabilize defensively on which ever goblin seems worse off.
Concentration (DC 15): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
| GM Aarvid |
Kyra successfully stabilizes the most injured of the goblins...specifically the one Andrazi cut.
The dogs do not seem to notice the act of kindness and attack her. Barking and yapping they snap at the cleric.
Kyra
bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Bite : 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 plus fort
bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 Bite : 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 plus fort
And the last one on Andraste.
Andraste
bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 Bite : 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 plus fort
None hit, although one was close on Andraste . If someone could move dog atop his wounded buddy to reach Kyra, I'd appreciate it. Hotel is not nice with map.

Andraste attacks the dog which tried to bite her.
Scimitar (Nonlethal): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 191d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6
| GM Aarvid |
With Andraste's chop, Andrazi's slice and one of two arrows from Jory, the three remaining dogs drop and are silenced from their yapping.
* end combat *
let me know if you attempt to stabilize any of the dying. Otherwise you see no more enemy outside, just double doors to the compound.
