Jimmy pins Oriana. "Kill me already that we're done with it." she screams.
"We have the option not to kill you, we didn't have that option before. I am all for not killing you." Jimmy says maintaining the pin
Oriana has a breakdown. She lies under Jimmy crying without fighting back.
Jimmy stops trying to hold her down, and kicks the ranseur away.
"Oriana, I am sorry about your people."
Tauriell takes up the ranseur and looks like a weapon stand now. "Shall we move to the next room and leave you here for some more talking things out?" Tauriell asks hopefully.
"Might be a plan. Thanks Tauriell." Jimmy says wathing Oriana
Tauriell looks around desperately where to continue to get out of the room and tries to use the wheels.
"Make the heads pointing at each other." Oriana pouts under her tears.
Tauriell does as told.
A golden shimmering curtain appears where the wall would be if these two halves of the room were separated by a wall.
"Onwoards!" Tauriell proclaims and walks through the curtain.
Abomentolor follows suit.
Tauriell and Abomentolor are teleported away into another room.
This ovoid, white marble chamber is an opulent, domed affair, with a ceiling of polished silver peaking twenty feet above. A pair of mosaic snake patterns decorate the floor to the north and south. Polished black marble pillars rise up along the edges of the room, metal manacles hanging from their inward-facing sides at a height of five feet. Articles of armor and clothing lie scattered on the floor, while to one side of the room an upraised platform sits a foot above the rest of the room. This platform is strewn with furs and blankets, and at its back near the wall sits an enormous canopied bed.
A recently killed Gray Maiden hangs from the manacles attached to the pillar just southwest of the bed. Her body is strangely brittle and dry, and bears obvious signs of torture.
"Oriana. Did the grey maidens do all the horrid things I have heard about them?" Jimmy asks
"How should I know what you heard?" Oriana snaps back.
"Well mass murderof the innocent at the least." Jimmy snaps back
"I loyally served my queen. Who are you to question her verdict?" Oriana replies.
"Who was your queen to order the senseless murder of the people?"
"She was the queen. And was it not for these traitors and our inability to stop them she would still be."
"But if you know better... here you are the one to hand out verdicts as you like. Just kill me already and spare me your morals."
"I am going to cast a spell on you. And then I am going to ask you a question. It is important. Will you let me cast it on you?"
"What spell."
"Touch of truth telling. It will simply compel you not to lie. The question I want to ask is a difficult one to answer. And I want to help us both know that your answer is the absolute truth as you see it."
"I'm not in a position to deny it anyway."
"Well, you could resist the spell mentally. Or try to. I am asking your permission to let me cast it on you, and for you to willingly let it affect you."
"Do it already. I want out of this as soon as possible."
Jimmy cast touch of truth telling and asks Oriana,
"Did you regret having to murder your country folk?"
"What a waste of a spell. You expected me to cry and whine for my life to tell you how sorry I am?" Oriana laughs.
"I didn't have to kill anyone. Only stand there watching them die on their own and make sure no one left these pathetic districts. And if I'm lucky that whore who bore me also died a horrible death there."
"Oh these poor innocent people. How could she..." Oriana plays drama. "Let me tell you. There are no innocents on this world. By your standards death may be a harsh punishment for these people. I might disagree."
"Lets see how your god judges you for all the deaths you handed out."
"I will let you die fighting at least. " Jimmy says to Oriana, and to Gwen "Please help me into my armor and then see if Oriana needs help."
"Oriana, how do we get back down so we can fight with some room?"
"What kind of shit is that?" Gwenhwyfar asks Jimmy. "Are you having a death wish?"
"If you want to fight I want my stuff back." Oriana replies getting up from the floor. "If you want to go down you have to go up first." she says and nods at the glowing curtain.
"What did those people do to earn such disdain from you? Why did they deserve to die? And how could you say that about your mother?" Jimmy asks thinking
"What mother? I had no mother." Oriana states. "She didn't give a shit about my life. Why should I care for hers. I just enjoyed the satisfaction to see her get what she left me to."
"Well... But what about the others?"
"I didn't care about them. They were dying of some mysterious disease. They told afterwards it was the Queens fault. What would you have done. Let them out to spread it all over town?"
"The orders were clear. No one leaves Old Korvosa. And no one left it on my watch." Oriana replies cold.
"Now that is not something I had heard. Gwen, did you know that?"
"I didn't even know what this Korvosa is. Ask Tauriell or Niamh if you want to know that. They have seen their share of the world. You know everything I have seen." Gwenhwyfar replies chuckling at the thought she should play the history expert here.
"I was hoping you might remember something they said that I didn't. Well let's catch up and ask them. If what you say is true Oriana, then I can understand it. You obviously think it is the truth."
Oriana collects the parts of her full plate and her shield and steps through the curtain.
Tauriell looks around the room and then runs and jumps onto the large bed. "Lets call it a day. I have found my place to sleep this night."
As Oriana appears in the room too she sits up and asks "Didn't they talk you to death already?"
Jimmy follows after and collects his Ranseur
"Tauriell, what do you know of old Korea? "
Gwenhwyfar also steps through the curtain. Looking around she sees the woman hanging in the manacles and hurries there to see what she has.
"A lot. Want to know the best bar? Or are you seeking a new kingdom? In that case I would advise against. That crimson throne is said to be cursed." Tauriell replies.
"What disease did it need to be cleansed of? Oriana says they had to kileave a whole lot of people to stop it spreading."
"As I already told you when we found the first one of these nice maidens: Ileosa was a crazy Queen who took over Korvosa after her husband king Eodred II died under mysterious circumstances. She then tried to kill off half of the city using some murderous cult of Urgathoa to spread a plague. And the Gray Maidens made sure the queen was safe and her plans were executed as told by the queen." Tauriell expalains. "Of course that's not the story the queen told as the disease killed a lot of people. That is what came to light as the queen was finally stopped."
"What do you make of that Oriana?"
"That's more or less what I told you, didn't I?" Oriana replies. "Only that this elf seems to dislike Queen Ileosa and takes as fact what was told about her after her defeat."
"Well yes. Who do you think caused the plague Oriana?"
