"Wow, what a sight."

Aleister smiles. "Ek kan reël dat jy lewend verbrand het as jy verkies om hierby by jou kamerade aan te sluit."

The Hobgoblin crossed his arms, "Dan kan jy ons ook verbrand. Dit sal vinnig wees in vergelyking met wat die Hoof sal doen as ons jou nie as slawe na hom terugneem nie."

Aleister leans back and raises his brow."En wat maak jou so bang vir hom?"

"Die Hoof is die Hoof. Sterkste en mees slinkse onder ons, en sal dit vir baie jare bly. Hy het 'n Troll in enkelgeveg bestee."

"Dan wil ek hierdie hoof in een op een geveg uitdaag. Jy sal my na hom toe neem." Aleister demands one more.

Please oh please oh please bring them back? They look like fun to play with and I bet I could get them tho tell you anything you want to know.....after I make an example out of tged first one and take my time with the other two. They'll be begging to tell you what you want to know. Please, please, please. You can even blindfold them to add to the terror. Plllleeeeaaaaasssssseeeee. I wanna play too.

Eri shakes her head at the sight, "It's so.....pretty. Not nearly as beautiful as you, but still. I've never seen anything like this before." She says, her voice full of awe at what they see.

I just wanna play with them a little bit.....*evil grin*

"Care to enlighten me as to what's going on?" Gio asks.

The Hobgoblins discussed among themselves in hushed tones for a long moment. Looking at the Priest, they said in Common, "The half-pint here is asking us to take you all to the Chief so he can challenge him to single combat." Turning to Aleister, "Do you have a death wish?"

Taking hold of Eri's hand, Tehanna asked, "What do you know of this place? It seems odd to have such a fortification in such a remote location."

She kind of shrugs, "I don't actually know that much really." Eri says, leaning against Tehanna and laying her head against her arm.

"Would that servant of yours know?"

Wrapping an arm around Tehanna as she leans against her she kind of shrugs, "I don't know. Granny seems to know a lot of things. Would you like to go back and talk to her?"

Gio pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs.

Aleister shrugs. "It's just another hobgoblin, it's not like this will be hard."

"Do what you want. Just remember that I cannot raise the dead."

"I meant the male you put in his place."

"Oooohhhhhh....you mean Taqan? He's not my servant, he just takes care of the place, so he might know something. He can just be...very frustrating to talk to sometimes. Yeah, we can go ask him if you want." Shed replies.

The Hobgoblin shrugged and responded, "The Chief is at the bottom of the mountain, over a day and a half journey."

Aleister sighs once again. "I don't think we're provisioned for that hike. What are you doing here then?"

"Two days ago, from our village, we saw a light shine from higher up the mountain. The Chief sent us to investigate."

"That was likely us," Gio says.

The Hobgoblin looked at you curiously, "You mean that you opened the mountain?"

"Yes."

She tugs on Tehanna's arm gently, "Tehanna? Did you hear me?"

"Yes, I heard you, I just got lost in the view. Let's go find that male."

She looks down a bit, "Oh...okay, sorry. Yeah, let's go."

Takijng Tehanna's hand, Eri heads back with her to find Taqan.

Getting back to her room she yells out, "Taqan!!"

"I'm getting the feeling they were investigating our signal, and this is part of the 'army' we're expected to raise." Ravan says with a chuckle of amusement.

"Looks like someone is catching on. We just got the machines mining mithral but seem to be wholly lacking in bodies to arm with it. That's why I gave you fools so many chances." Aleister states in confirmation.

The three hobgoblins looked at each other for a moment, then the 'lead' one said, "We should have enough provisions to take you to the Chief, but you will have to wait outside the village while we get him."

After several minutes, Taqan appeared will some scroll in hand, "A young woman called?"

Someone better let me know what's going on, cuz if not....I will eventually come hunt y'all down, and if I'm not aware of the situation, something.....ugly might happen.

Eri sighs, "Yeah, we wanna know whatever you know about this placed cuz we're curious about it, and what's that thing in your hand?" She asks, pointing to the paper looking thing in his hand.

Holding the scroll out to Eri, "This is what a young woman asked for, a way for the Elf to see without pain in the sun." Once he handed the scroll over, he continued, "As to the history of this place, a man knows some. It was constructed by a an Orc of great prowess and strength. Many claimed she was touched by the gods themselves. From this fortress, she led many raids against the mainland and sunk many ships. Until the day she was assassinated and her horde destroyed itself from within."

Tehanna wanted to slap this man, but she was a guest here. For now.

"Perhaps we should get Eri before we start taking 'journeys'," Gio suggests.

Eri takes the proffered scroll, "OOookay....well, I have no idea how to use this thing to help her, but I'm sure one of the others would....or maybe Tehanna? I'm not sure, but we'll figure it out. Is it a permanent thing?" She pauses briefly to get her breath.

After about a minute or so she adds, "Well...that was interesting and I have one final request, actually two." She says taking a step closer to him, "ONE, SHE is NOT an Elf, and I would kindly ask that you stop referring to her as one or I'll have to remove your offending tongue from your mouth." She finishes in a near growl and slightly bares her fangs so that a man can see that she's not messing around. Switching to an almost scary smile she says in a saccharine sweet tone, "Also, my name is Eri. E-R-I...Eri, please do not refer to me as anything but my name from now on. It...bothers me. Am I being perfectly clear Taqan?" She asks before moving an inch or so back from being all up in his face.

Yes please, I wants to play too. *innocent grin* You can bring them with you, just blindfold em' or something. I'll be good, I SWEAR!

Completely un-phased by her intimidating manner, Taqan simply responded in his usual even tone, "A man understands. And yes, the change will be permanent."

Eri shakes her head at his unusual reaction, "Good." Looking over at Tehanna she asks, "Is this thing something you can use, or do we need to have someone else do it to you? I don't know anything about all this magicky stuff." She holds out the scroll to Tehanna, "Was there anything else you wanted to know about this place before we go...do whatever else you want to do? I wonder where the others are? They should have been back by now, don't you think? How much of a dirty ol' abandoned place could they want to see?"

Tehanna took the scroll. After a long moment, her eyes went wide as she said, "This.......this is a ritual to adjust my sight for surface use. It's long and arduous, and will take about a month. But it'll be worth it. I think were good now though. You may go male."

Taqan politely bowed and said, "Gizon guztiak zerbitzatu behar dira." Stepping back, he turned and left.

She sighs, "A month? Really? Why does magic have to be so tedious?" She says, ignoring Taqan as he leaves.

Tehanna got an odd look on her face, but only for a moment. "How much do you know about that male?"

"There's more to it than magic."

She shrugs, "He's mostly just generally annoying and vague as $hit, which makes him even more annoying. He does whatever he's asked though, and with unusual....promptness."

She kind of sighs at the mention of doing more than magic. She didn't even understand magic, so what else was there? Looking up at Tehanna she simply asks, "Like what?"

The halfling nods. "Fine. I just hope she's done having her fun." He says before taking hold of the crystal and returning back to the lair.

*sad face* I got sidetracked, but I guess the strawberries and chocolate can wait for some other time. hehehe....hehe. Oh...still had PLENTY of fun though. LOL
