Anyone who wants to instigate violence is invited to roll. However, I will point out that the man has not as yet made threatening moves.

Lucian Faucon |

Do we know it for certain? No. Can we make a pretty decent guess based on the distance from town? Yes.

So so sorry! Will post tomorrow! Been so busy, getting married, seeing family, moving into a new home, working more hours. It's been crazy, but I'll be good to post tomorrow. DM, how should I get back in to the story? Can we assume I've been with them?

Natalie Labelle |

I suppose I should address the friendly fire situation before it boils over. Natalie wanted the fighting and killing to stop, without harming the party. In that she used the best and only spell she had available to do that. It might be unpopular, but everybody was all gung ho about murdering an unarmed man who we initiated hostilities against. Yes, he's working with goblins, and he's a confessed necromancer, but he also just more or less surrendered when Zirrel got up close.
I apologize to any offense to the players by this action. And I understand that this will affect her standing in the party negatively as well. But it's been done, and what's been done can't be taken back. She's probably made a mistake here, and she'll suffer the consequences for it.

Lucian Faucon |

And as you just proved, there is no such thing as an unarmed spell caster...that is unless you cut off hands and tongues...

Lucian Faucon |

Wish I didn't have to spend my hero point to counteract an action from one of my "allies", but there it is.

Hagnar Grimstone |

I support Natalie in this matter. I had someone else do the exact same thing in almost the exact same circumstances in a game I'm GMing. With the same results. The players were apoplectic and nearly caused a pbp riot! But this is the beauty of role-playing with a large group of individuals with different interpretations of an event.
I got your back, Nat!! Of course, I can't hardly breath right now...give me a sec'...wheeze!

Natalie Labelle |

Because I know I'm responsible, I'd like to ask the GM if Lucian can have one of Natalie's Hero Points to replace the one he used. It is her fault that it had to be spent, and I don't want any bad feelings over this.

Lucuis |

To put it simply, people have had to encourage her to tag along so far. I don't see any reason for anyone to continue to put forth that effort.
I can understand her motivations(ooc), but if she was a reluctant companion, and she turned on her fellows, I cannot see anyone really wanting her there anymore. Why should she be trusted?

I will say that because of his personality and desires that Reigar is going to try to remain neutral to the allies. He is young and naive, still not quite grasping human social concepts and such. If things get particularly violent by the time his slot to act comes up then Reigar is going to react to protect himself and minimize casualties.

I am making a preemptive apology to everyone with whom I am involved in games. My posting for the next month or so will be sporadic. For games I am playing, I will try to check in once a day. For games I am running, there may be gaps of a few days between moves. I ask that folks not give up on me.
This is convention season for me. I am scheduled to attend four conventions in the next month, one as staff. This means a LOT of prep time (as I am running at least three games at each convention, all of which I need to actually write).
Anyway, this is just a heads-up to let you know what is happening. If you must drop me, I understand. I would prefer that if I get behind, you just have my character do what seems logical. Thanks.

I am regretfully going to drop Reigar from the campaign. It has been nice and all, however, this campaign has lost speed and drive. I have a lot going on as well, so I would rather divert my attention to those things. It isn't anything personal or negative about any of you. Thank you for the experiences and fun! Wish you all good luck in the rest of the adventures.

We'll hand-wave the return to the keep, unless you are particularly interested in what happens (in which case I will post a summary when I get a chance). Will pick up on Monday, as I am going to Pensacon (Pensacola, FL) for the weekend.

Two days to go before we put on CoastCon. This is the big one for me (as I am the Game Room Director). I will try to check in on games I am involved with tomorrow and Thursday, but may not be able to do so. I will not be on at all Friday through Sunday. I should be able to resume normal posting on Monday. Please bot me as necessary.
If you are in one of the games I am running, I ask that you remain patient and we will resume on Monday with a more regular schedule. And, of course, if you are in the Mississippi area, feel free to stop by CoastCon in Biloxi this weekend. We are a sci-fi/fantasy convention in our 37th year and our Gaming Guest of Honor is none other than Mike Brock (our Media Guest of Honor is John de Lancie)!

It was an awesome con! This was my wife's first year as Con Director, and for the most part, everything went smoothly. Everyone I've spoken to seemed to enjoy it.
Mike Brock (yes, THAT Mike Brock) was our Gaming Guest of Honor and spent every free moment at the Pathfinder tables, playing with the gamers. He was nothing short of fantastic! Terrific guy, as well. He had some great stories about GenCon and PaizoCon.
My wife, Gods bless her, put her money where her mouth is. Our charity is the Pink Hearts Fund, a group that provides wigs, breast prostheses, and other medical supplies to those recovering or suffering from various diseases, free of charge.
My lovely and kind wife stepped up and put her hair into our charity auction, taking bids to allow it to be cut. In the end, she raised $500 for the charity AND then donated the cut hair to make a child's wig! Since FB wants to be stupid, I have provided a few photos:

Sorry to see you go. I am in a lot of campaigns so a slower paced one like this can grow at its own pace without me jonesin'. Wish you all the best.

I'm sorry folks, I feel as though I've let everyone down, but my life has grown too hectic to keep up the pace. I don't blame anyone for leaving, but I'm thinking we should call it. Maybe I can try again later if things calm down a bit in my life.
