Shadow Lodge

Male Elf Druid 3

When Silian discovers the other jewelry, he holds them aloft for Lianna to inspect, as once more he gestures and whispers "Gul" as he casts detect magic. He hands the cloth to Lianna and the identification papers to Aeyra while he studies the rings.

Looking over the Hall, "Well if this place isn't too rat or Reaver infested, we should find a defensible room and lay low for a bit. A few should take point as others try to open that door a bit further. If they fall completely they're going to make quite a ruckus."

Silian levels his crossbow and turns his back to the doors, sweeping the alley.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

What exactly does the mageweave cloth do?

Aeyra examines the identification papers closely.

Linguistics Maybe?: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Female Human Hexcrafter Magus 3

"I've got point." Akasha says, sword drawn as she advances towards the building.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

I'm sorry I guess I wasn't clear enough, the doors are completely off the hinges, and laying partially atop on another. You guys would make far more noise attempting to move the doors than to simply cross over them. They are massive and it would take the strength of several to move.

Silian, your cast tells you that what you hold is a Ring of Protection +2.

Aeyra I will give you a full description of the papers after I get my kid off to school!

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Aeyra please roll me a dex check, DC 12 to prevent from having the case fall apart when you attempt to open it to view the identification papers.

Inside the small ornate case is a piece of parchment in surprisingly good condition and a small photograph of a human woman with blond hair and blue eyes. At the bottom of the paper is the notary mark of House Sivis. Written on the paper in Common:

Lady Thergwen Orien
Daughter of House Orien

Description: Five foot four inches tall, weighing one hundred and twenty pounds. Light blond hair and blue eyes.

Notable Features: Dragonmark on her right forearm and hand. Small, visible scar on her chin.

Residence: Godsgate district, City of Sharn

Affliations: House Orien. Courier’s Guild.

Male Gnome Alchemist/1

Balthazar keeps his eyes peeled, looking and listening for trouble as he scans the room.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Would a sleight of hand check be more appropriate than a pure dex check? If so, add 4 to the roll.

Dex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Male Dwarf Fighter

Shadow Lodge

Male Elf Druid 3

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

I would see that the ring is magical, but I did not make the check to identify the properties. As detect magic is a cone, anything within 60 feet of Silian's gaze would ping, such as the arcane mark on the identification papers, even though he can't see it.

Silian offers the ring to Lianna, "A small bauble, darling, but I think it would suit you well. I'm certain it is just your size."

Dusting himself off Silian puts away his bow as he prepares to climb the doors. Once up he will offer his hand to Vannevar, the ladies, or Balthazar to aid them.

Climb: 1d20 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 - 3 = 1

Silian struggles as the tries to overcome the doors, stepping on his cloak, and making no headway.

Male Dwarf Fighter

idk why that posted three times lol Bosramir looks around to see what everyone is doing as he leans against the rubble. perception: 1d20 ⇒ 5

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

No Aeyra, sleight of hand is all about doing things unnoticed. There isn't any point for that in this case, and your roll was just fine. You are aware that it is damaged and if rough-handled will break.

Oy, my bad Silian. We can pause the advancement and place you guys back at the rubble pile if you like. All items recovered, including the ring in Aeyra's pocket would have registered with Detect Magic. Whatever anyone else was carrying, as well as a couple of more things from the rubble where you stood and one other a little further out.

Shadow Lodge

Male Elf Druid 3

Yeah if magical signatures pinged, Silian would have taken the time to find where they were, telling the others there are a few magical signatures nearby. He would note the soft glow emanating now from Aeyra's pocket, but still remains silent. Just tell me how many things I find, and I will roll Spellcraft for each of them in turn before moving onwards to the Hall.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Digging around a bit more, Silian finds a wand clutched in the skeletal hand of another adult, the other hand grasps that of a child's. On the child's skeleton can be found a bracelet. A little further out where the rubble seems to have either shifted enough, or has previously been dug through, more skeletal remains are uncovered and an ornate wrist cuff found.

It is painfully clear that these people were simply going about their daily lives, completely unaware of the tragedy that was about to befall them. One cannot help but to realize that they are standing in the middle of a graveyard.

Grimly, Silian looks over the items as they are uncovered, pulling them from the bodies. If questioned, he will merely state he is only taking what items radiate magic so that they might be able to utilize them. He actually takes great care to place the child and caretaker back into delicate poses.

Spellcraft Wand: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Akasha solemnly lowers her head at the sight of the child's body.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Silian is unable to identify the items at this time. Anyone else with spellcraft is welcome to try before we resume at Colrac Hall.

Male Gnome Alchemist/1

Balthazar looks at Silian questioningly. "What are they?

Spellcraft Wand: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

"Why thankyou," Lianna says with a look of mild surprise on her face. "It appears you actually were taught to be a gentleman at some point." casts her own version of dectect magic muttering something in aquan. No she doesn't actually speak it, it just feels right to her, and if she uses a language she doesn't speak there's no chance of her accidentally casting a spell by saying the wrong thing. and make spellcraft attempts of her own.

spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 111d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 181d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 in the same order Silian examined them.

spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 oh also on the ring.

Missed this earlier. You'll need to roll for each item (including the new ones just listed).

Since we're setting up camp can I take 10s once we've settled? Or will I have enough time to take 20s?

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Blathazar is able to identify that the bracelet holds Feather Fall. The wristcuff has Wall of Force. Lianna is able to confirm that the bracelet is Feather Fall, and identifies the ring as being a Ring of Protection +2.

Although the wand has yet to reveal itself to you, those who handle it and examine it closely are able to see the d'Jorasco mark on the base. A small dragonshard is affixed to the top and the wood is carved with intricate designs that are reminiscent of light and water.

The golden ring given to Lianna has images of shields, while the silver bracelet has images of feathers. The wristcuff is itself shaped like a small round bronze shield, decorated with the marking of d'Kundarak.

Also, it was pointed out to me that with the papers it should read d'Orien and not simply Orien.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

If camp is set, you should be able to take 20's. Taking 10's wouldn't be sufficient for these rolls.

Grand Lodge

Female Elf Sorcerer(water elemental bloodline) 1

Lianna takes a sweeping look over the items "I'll take a closer look at these when we've settled in for the night. Oh would anyone mind if I took the piece of mage-weave fabric?" what color is it by the way?

Shifts between purple and blue, light colors.

Grand Lodge

Female Elf Sorcerer(water elemental bloodline) 1

Assuming no one objects she takes the piece of mageweave grabs two approximate corners and flips it over itself a few times in a practiced motion, then wrapping it around her head to help contain the flaming red mass that is her hair. Kinda the way Esmeralda's default look is. Oh and if it has an effect it's taking up the head slot

Shadow Lodge

Male Elf Druid 3

Silian smiles. "My favorite colours... I think. Unless it changes." Silian will hold onto the wand, he lets Balthazar and Lianna hold onto the other items.

Back to the Hall!

"Hmmm it might." Lianna thinks 'Green' at it in multiple languages to see what happens as they walk back.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Unfortunately, Lianna's hardest green thinking has no effect on the cloth.

With a little effort, you are able to make it up and past the fallen doors. Beyond them is a long entry hall. The only source of light is what little light remains of the evening trickling through the doors. Nothing decorates the walls, the carpet is stained and rotting. The sound of vermin scuttling in the shadows is all that you hear. Three statues of men and women stand on either side of the hall, mostly marred beyond recognition. Hallways lead off to either side of the entry hall, and just past them the floor is covered with shards of broken glass.

Male Dwarf Fighter

Bosramir looks around and looks to the wounded woman elf. " How are your wounds?"

Male Gnome Alchemist/1

"Lianna, do you mind if I wear the bracelet?"

After making it past the fallen doors, Balthazar scans the area intently.

"I don't mind particularly, means we can toss you up above those who stand in our way and you can drop your bombs on them." she says handing the bracelet over with a grin and in a tone where you can't really tell if she's joking or not.

Female Human Hexcrafter Magus 3

We should keep moving further in, see if we can find a room with a solid door that closes to hole up for the night." Akasha says quietly.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Balthazar is not able to see much in the low light, one thing stands out to him, and area where it seems as if someone had deliberately pushed the shards of glass back. He hears nothing aside from the vermin, and sees no indication of threat. The back wall of this room is rounded where the tower rises up. A glance to the hall down the right quickly shows that that section has caved in and is impassable. A look to the left shows that the hall continues onward with three doors, two on one side and one on the side nearest to the main door.

"To be honest they're something awful and I can't wait until we are done with this. But I have never been so grateful for the sturdiness of a dwarf as I am right now." She glances around the building. "To the left unless we fancy ourselves miners."

Shadow Lodge

Vannevar readies his crossbow, watching down the un-collapsed hallway as he waits for the group to move onward.

Male Dwarf Fighter

He nods and offers a hand, to help her to her feet. "It appears the group is ready to move."

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

You carefully make your way past the scattered shards of glass that are sprinkled along the hall.

Which door do you plan to enter first?

Because F Lianna, that's why. No really, my bad, I'll fix it.

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Which door, people?

Was going to let the others lead since I'm disabled and just limping along, but I'll point them along!

Aeyra motions to the closest door on their left. "To the left. Always to the left."

Shadow Lodge

Male Elf Druid 3

Elven:
"Be wary of the other doors as well, stick together."
Reverting to Common, "Any of us who are still breathing with ease should be the first to check this hall. Last thing we need is for Aeyra to slip on a loose tile."

Male Dwarf Fighter

Bostamir heads over to silian " Let me take point then. "

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Opening the first door that you come to, you find a library. All that's left in this once grand library's shelves are torn pages and ripped binding, either rotting into pulp or converted into nests by industrious rats.

Edited Map

After glancing around for any danger, Aeyra curiously pokes around the pages, trying to learn what kind of knowledge the library once held.

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Linguistics?: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Boss Lady Dragon of the Early Evening

Aeyra's search turns up an intact, first edition volume of The Kings of Galifar. Otherwise, reading various bits of pages she finds strewn about, as well as the occasional binding that is till legible, she is able to see that this library once held a vast range of books in many languages. From those languages she can read, she is able to make out pieces of accounts of history, instructional books on an array of topics, and even what appears to be a simple ledger of financial accounts.

"Interesting." Aeyra shows the others the book she found before tucking it away. "Shame that such a knowledge store went to waste." She motions to move onto the next closest door, incidentally the one to their left.
