Rosa ducks down as Mierra seems to have spotted some thing, she has a look then signals the others to duck down when Gaius walks ahead to talk.

100% cover she can hear Gaius talking.

She gets her Greatsword ready and says to Mierra and Arma in a whisper That fool is clueless, he talks tactics but with out any plan or talk he just lost us our best weapon, surprise. we need to get it back now, so we move now, back and around to the right, keep in ear range of them but out of sight, If he dos what I think, the fool will tell them our number and where we are. So we need to make him wrong, now move! Rosa moves away as Quickly and quietly as she can back and to the right.

Nah, not worth it. Gaius will stay quiet about how tired he's feeling in the interest of making good time. Just memorize two healings for the second day and then if he goes down we can worry about healing him then. Hopefully I won't be the target of many attacks since I'm a ranged character with good mobility. Hell, hopefully we won't have to fight them at all. I'm thinking we can convince them that their lives will be more fun and profitable as Charcoal manufacturers. We set up a logging camp one hex outside town, and set the goblins to cutting down trees and burning them into charcoal then sell it in town. Should appeal to their appetite for destruction, and give them something productive to do.

Yeah, well in case you haven't noticed Gaius thinks he knows everything. He doesn't want to kill Goblins if he doesn't have to. You haven't lost the element of surprise, just stay hidden and do what you think is best. They still don't know you're there, and Gaius is a pretty big distraction right now.

Its really down to the others, we need to back up Gaius now hes done what hes done, but the move to the right means we can still come in and flank, I would say buffs can wait until a fight looks or had started. If Gaius can get them in a group we can use area affect spells which is cool. Note all, Rosa would have told you on the march, if she ever calls out in combat "Run" do so, if you stay you may find yourselfs in harms way. just a heads up on her kind of channeling. GM is there any we can see the camp with out giving away our position, knowing what we face fully may be of grate use. Gaius I'm not having a pop at you as a player, I think we are both playing our PCs and we have built them just fine, sorry of it came across any other way, also you may have noticed Rosa seems very well versed in combat as if shes been in battle before, a veteran of some kind, if you ask her she will say only that "in the Hells, war is a constant" and nothing more.

What's he doing at the base of the tree?

The goblin at the base of the tree finds a ring amongst the roots of the tree. He pulls up and reveals a small trapdoor that he quickly ducks into. He is gone for about 2 minutes.

Hope they dun try nothin' stupid. Every goblin we gots to kill is one less to serve in the glorious realm we shall form. Gaius muses idly, while kicking at the clumps of grass with his sandaled toe. His intense eyes remain fixed on the goblin in the tree and the trapdoor though, an easy smile on his face.

@Rosa - It's cool dude. Gaius is kinda a d*ck sometimes, I know that. Rosa probably would think him a fool, and maybe he is one. We'll find out shortly. But it's just a game, no offense taken and none intended.

Amar is standing behind Mierra and Rosa soon appearing behind her talking about plans... talk about between two woman hah! but this commotion now about these goblins hm... but soon focus his attention towards Gaius and goblins.

Thinking of his spells and trying to see the goblins regarding distance to them. I am not so fond of this but I would say that we leave him to take care of this business. If they swarm out / attack him, we can help but also withdraw. I won´t die here because of some mistakes

Mierra shakes her head at Amar, "If he dies because of a fool mistake, then we drag his body back to town along with the decapitated heads of every goblin that attacked him. I say we spread out, but keep in the cover of forest and wait and see what happens. If Gaius is able to draw the Bugbear out, then we attack"

To accentuate her point, she loosens the straps holding her Urumi's around her waist and gets ready with her throwing dart.

Sighing and nodding Indeed but we most not forget that even if they are just goblins... we need to be careful. Were they to attack as in big numbers, I try to catch as many of them as I can with my spell. Most potent ones I will save against their leader and Amar finish, he picks up his crossbow and loads it to be ready just in case

Well he found is their camp, under that tree they would never make that place with just one way in and out so get down and keep an eye out for them coming from behind. If this is a double trap we need to keep as a group, all alone we will just be picked off. but we an spread out with line of sight on each other, Amar you stay put, Mierra left Ill go right, Amra keep in eye on Gaius if his in trouble use the whistle Rosa moves off to the right again about 30 feet and then stops in cover. Looking all around.

Mierra nods to Rosa and begins to move off to the left, she makes sure to move as queitly as she can.

She gets into position and readies herself once again, ready to toss her throwing dart when the need arises.

Rosa proceeds through the woods without seeing anything out of the ordinary.

Edit: What is he "armed to the teeth" with? What are the two sentries armed with? Armor, shields? Also, when you say larger goblin, it's still a small-sized goblin right? Or is it a hobgoblin or bugbear?

I was assuming that your companions were deep enough in the woods that they were completely hidden, but could barely hear/see you. If they are close enough to have a good view, they need stealth checks.

The big goblin (just a particularly tough-looking goblin) has an assortment of daggers strapped on hastily, a mace, a shortbow, and some leather armor. The sentries have slings, but nothing else.

All three of us (Rosa, Amar and Mierra) are on the edge of the forest. I have already made a stealth check

Amar will not come out of the woods so close the edge. no skills in stealth so not risking being seen. I would think that there should be some spots to see Gaius or at least little bit. However, will give still stealth check if required

Spotting Mierra crouched down amongst the undergrowth, Gaius mentally notes her position. Sheeet. If I can see her, they can too. Hope she stays down low.

Edit:Just out of curiosity, is there some kind of oath that goblins consider sacred? I know they think writing is stealing words from you head and trapping them on paper, so a contract's out. What about a blood oath? You know, the old slice the palm and shake on it thingy.

Gaius crouches down in the dirt and draws a circle around himself with the tip of his arrow. Then standing up he uses the arrowhead to slice a large gash in his palm (I'll take 1 point of damage) and squeezes the blood out into the dirt around the circle. When he is finished he stands to his full height, arms upraised and yells in a booming voice, "COME FORTH DEVILS, THERE IS WORK TO BE DONE!" He will remain in this position, blood dripping down his arm onto his chest until the rest of the party appears. Combined with the bloody handprint on his face, he looks positively insane.

Edit:I plan on having a little pow-wow before going down into the tree. Not sure if it's a good idea to go into a space designed for small creatures just yet. We could ask him to negotiate outside. Also need to tell everyone that there is another larger tribe of goblins, and the dude we're looking for is actually a human in a house not a bugbear.

Having now idea what they talked about Rosa will have to go on what she sees when she looks,

What could this mean, we are in a fight, is he calling us to rally?. there are only three bad guys then we cauld take them if re rushed out now, but Gaius is acting odd, standing there in no battle stance with some kind of blood magic

Nothing like I have seen before, and he wants just the devils to come out and been seen, but should we charge or is he trying to put the fear of the hells in them, that must be it, this bandit is worth 100 alive, take him with a show of force, that must be it, make his underlings run and leave just him to submit

Rosa indicates to Mierra, Fist up then flat hand out to Gaius pointing at him, Then wipers for the other two to hear, Show of force only, we go to them, what ever you like, let me ancer, then we go.

Gaius whispers to her, "Keep it down, not sure if these fellas speak common or not. We need to have a little group meet, some new information come to light. Lets wait for Mierra and Amar to emerge then I can explain. In the meantime, keep up the show. Maybe burn something."

Amar looks a bit confused and sighs at the sight. Hm... seriously, what is he thinking. Might as well go now Taking a look at others but straightens up and slowly move out of the dark spot trying to look intimidating with his appearance and dark dress.

Gaius would have included Amar in his beconing gesture.

Gaius waits until Amar is close before whispering, "I told them you were a magician of great power, and that our tiefling friends are devils. Can you put on a bit of a magical show while we wait for Mierra to show herself?"

Thinking of what Gaius said Amar waves his fingers tips inside his sleeves and slowly the ground around him begins to boil and sound hissing can be heard as acid melts the sand and rock around as he moves.

I also told them that you two ladies were Devils and that Amar here was a 'powerful magician' and that I just summoned you using magic. Thus the playacting. They've invited us down into their treehouse to talk about a plan. What d'yas think?"

Interested at the play and thinking possibilities in the future Amar nodded and listened as the goblins and Gaius spoke Goblinoid language proficiency heh yes... that could give us a force for later and secure also a basement as well our own small army, well not likely but a defense worse for later. If we could also secure... hefty oaths or somehow bound them to us we could easily discover more of these lands. The experiments also I have in my mind... well I am always in need more test subjects and I guess if they don´t want to become one, then they will better get some for me finishing with dark promise in the future possibilities

Mierra whispers quietly to Gaius, "I honestly think you have gone off your rocker, and if things get even crazy, then I will kill you myself for fear of being led by a crazy man."

Mierra gives herself some space and breaths a few times to relax "Alright, let's see where this goes, guess this means we won't be finding our bounty any time soon"

"Goblins aint much for oaths, but I reckon we do good by 'em they'll work for us." Gaius whispers in response to Amar.

Edit: To Mierra he mutters, "Well since they know where our bounty is and we don't...and they can help us take him for that matter. I told yas when ye signed up that we was gonna make summ't. What's the alternative?"

Mierra shakes her head "I don't see any at this point, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it. Let's see where this goes, if anything, we may find more treasure then the bounty was worth."

Mierra re-wraps the urumi's back around her waist and gestures for Gaius to continue with his negotiations.

Gaius says "Hold on a second, lemme ask somethin'." He turns back to the goblin boss and asks in goblin,"What's in the gully? How big are the tunnels down there? As you can see, we are very big. It might be easier to make our plan out here."

(I will just translate it realtime for everyone from now on, so typed in English. I'll only use Azerbaijani if I want to say something different to the goblins than what I tell the party. Note:Gaius doesn't know that Amar speaks goblin yet.)

The goblin says No, no. Plenty of room for tall ones in our fort. To much bads out here. Meanies, tiny dragon men, orcses, wolfses...we should go in.

Assume that I translate accurately unless otherwise stated.

"Shall we?" says Gaius and begins to slowly follow the goblin boss.

Mierra sighs to herself and looks conflicted, she finally gives up her resolve and follows Gaius inside. She begins speaking in Infernal "If this turns bad, I'm going to curse so badly that Asmodeus would blush, then I'm going to burn this entire place down with everyone inside, myself included."

She continues to grumble in an unaudible sense as she follows

Amar looking at the back of goblins and Gaius silently whispers to Mierra let´s go but I do would like to know that we two or three is Rosa agree are ready to get out of there... just I am not so comfortable with whole situation

I'm not going in until I hear from Rosa too. I'm pretty sure the Boss wants that other tribe off his back badly enough to keep his word. Well, that and we probably scare the crap out of him. But this definitely falls under the header of unanimous group decisions.
