Garr'ak the Toothy
Garr'ak would move to his horse and deftly climb into his saddle. It was odd, he suddenly felt more at ease in a saddle then he had before. "Perhaps battling some bandits will jog your memory of we are here. Either way, we should be off."
With that, he would move to the head of the line with Geoffrey and start picking back up the trail.
Jeremiah Whitewall
"That there would be Brennyn. I believe her partner is Vanaria? Dinner was trail rations and a fair amount of it was splattered across people's faces." Jermmiah idly twists a crossbow bolt between his fingers while talking, occasionally using it as a pointer. "So, once we've got this Kressle taken care of, we going to continue south or cut back and clear out the route we've traveled?"
Garr'ak the Toothy
Upon hearing Jeremiah's question, Garr'ak would turn around on his horse and say, "I believe retracing and securing our footsteps would be best. We could bring some peace of mind to Oleg and Svetlana before making a fresh start from there."
Brennyn Varron
Brennyn shoots Tulsino a venomous glare at his jibe about the name but says nothing.
"Don't worry Cato, we shall ensure that we get your memories back," Brennyn says with a smile.
Tobaris
Thagis and Thigis speak up, "We think the sooner you take care of Kressle the better. The less likely she has time to prepare."
Unfortunately the magic of the deck only lets you draw a number of cards once that's why I kept asking people to clarify how many cards they meant to pull. You have to find another deck to pull again.
Thaleles
|
As they begin to ride, Thaleles pulls out the coin and flips it back and forth in his hand. Without evil tjere is no good, nor darkness without the light. Abadar is the opposite of Rovogage, but what does this coin mean. Is it some form of communication? I dobt that, as a couple people here communicate frwquently with the gods. And what would they need a coin for when they can easily just talk to us. The wall was a neat trick. Perhaps keeping anything dangeous at bay while we slept. Perhaps knowing more of them could help determine the exact nature of this coin.
Thaleles calls out, Brennyn, might I have a word as we travel?
Toritaka
Taka takes his time, eyes still going everywhere, but he does take many opportunities to make sure no one is taking advantage of Cato in his confused state...at least not to his detriment.
Brennyn Varron
Brennyn looks at Thaleles with mild surprise, before attempting to recall what the exact connection is.

Garr'ak the Toothy
"Then let us be done with these bandits and Kressle. We have a world to explore and this is but a single milestone on that journey," Garr'ak would say before turning his horse and starting towards the bandit camp with Geoffrey by his side.
Cato Taldinius
|
I see Garr'ak and decide he means business. I spur my horse next to him.
Garr'ak, I sense a trustworthiness in you. You don't beat around the bush. So is it true what happened? We all drew cards from some deck on the way to beat up some bandits?
I will listen to Garr'ak as he relates the take thus far, listening intently and trying to figure out ways to help the group.
Garr'ak the Toothy
Garr'ak would turn his head to regard Cato with a some what unsure look of how to deal with him. Finally he would shrug and turn his gaze forward as he decides to treat him as if nothing had happened.
"It is true. On our way to face these bandits we ran across some fey creatures. After taking my amethyst without consent, they brought me back a magic deck of cards that Thaleles could not manage to identify. Sick of waiting, I started drawing some cards with no real visible effect on me before most of the group took their turns at it. Which is why I now I fear what might be to come after seeing what has befallen some of us. However, I will not let it paralyze me. We have good people to protect and land to explore so forward I move."
Toritaka
"Indeed. We need to find these bandits and finish them off. Then we can get about taking this land from the chaos that currently encompasses it."
Brennyn Varron
Brennyn nods at the seeming shift in party paradigm.
"Yes, we need to ensure that we establish order in this region," she says, shifting uncomfortably in armour designed for a man.
Garr'ak the Toothy
Garr'ak and Geoffrey would keep an eye out for anything of interest while making there way for the bandit camp.

Crit that perception check I will. Crit it good.
Tobaris
As you follow a simple trail that allows Thaleles wagon to pass, Thagis and Thigis speak up, "Theres the camp right there on the Thorn River Ford, Kressle's got watch posts hidden in the trees and it looks like she's moved some stuff around." The clearing ahead leads the trail over a strip of running water that is more of a glorified creek than a river. However it appears there are several log mounds and strange buildups of bushes all along the ford.
Garr'ak the Toothy
"Looks like we might have a welcoming party up ahead. How do we wish to proceed?" Garr'ak would ask the group while coming to a halt.
"I'd be more than willing to move around to the side with Geoffrey and come up from their side if we wish. Or we could just keep going straight and deal with them when they decide to come out."
Toritaka
"I can certainly get behind..."
Garr'ak the Toothy
"Since we have a few that are willing to go around, then perhaps I should go with Tulsino to lure them out. We will draw their attention and you can move around," Garr'ak would say while pulling his wrench from his side.
Jeremiah Whitewall
"Probably be the best if I stick around the front." Jeremiah said idly, eyes carefully sweeping the trees and underbrush. "I've got relentless down fairly well. Not all too good at subtle."

Thaleles
|
Thaleles moves his cart off the road and ties the horses up. He climbs down, and grabs his component pouch, bow, and his 2 quivers. Before heading off, he casts a spell, his bow seamsto glow for a moment before returning to normal (gravity bow - bow now does 2d6 damage for 3 minutes).
Tulsino
Tulsino stays on his horse and rides ahead with Garr'ak. Sword in hand keeping an eye out for an ambush.

Taka was also moving with Cato...so I will do the same for him.
Giving his fox a quick word in Tien, he smiles and nods.
Moving with as much stealth as he can muster, he gazes about.
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16

I assumed as much Thaleles I won't start your time on the spell until the attack begins.
Taka draws some attention in the woods but does not seem to have completely given away his position. In doing so the shifting in the trees revealled to Cato and Taka that there were several hunting stands perched int trees surrounding the ford.
Toritaka
Looking up into the trees, he smiles and points to his eyes, then up and gets an idea How high up? . Climbing up the tree with as much stealth as he can muster, he moves slowly to one of the hunting stands, provided he can see that it is not occupied.

Taka will climb the nearest one that is not 30' tall. 10-20 is fine.
Jeremiah Whitewall
Watching the surrounding area for any signs of an ambush, Jeremiah glances back and comments, "Either fifteen seconds or the first scream, whichever comes first I say."
