Before we begin:
1. Make sure all of your chronicles are up to date, purchases are made and are compliant with the PFS purchase rules.
2. The best set up is spoilers under your profile. (Adam's set up for Fel and Odric are by far the most convenient for me.)
3. If I don't have one, drop your pog on the combat map.
4. Try to post at least once every 24 hours. If you're not going to make it, try to have someone post on your behalf.
5. Under normal circumstances, I'd be fine taking our sweet ol'time. This is slightly less than normal. If we can finish by 6-Jul-13, that would be awesome.

Hello guys. In case it isn't clear, this is Kevin Tipa. This forum interface sucks dirty donkey scrotum. But I'm looking forward to giving play by post a try.

Dungeon Master S |

Yeah, you might want to edit that post.... it'd suck to get banned before we start.

Dungeon Master S |

Waiting on:
Evan
Orryn? Someone new?
Harnac
Evan 4, Harnac 3, Fel 3, Sumac 3, Azdak 2. If It's Orryn the APL is 3 1/6 and it's up to you guys to decide your Subtier (I know the majority will want to play up.) If it's a new character for Chris the APL is <3 so it's Subtier 1-2.

thunderspirit |

I played parts 1 & 2 of this series with a PC who's long since leveled out of range for this one, so no ties to the scenario's past. Orryn just made level 4 and will need to be updated over this weekend. I also have a Shoanti Witch and a Mwangi Sorcerer, though there's probably less need for the former if we're adding a Cleric and the latter might make Azdak feel redundant, which I don't like.
So it should probably be Orryn and Stellah. I'll update him and be ready to roll by Monday.

Dungeon Master S |

That works for me. I'm headed up to Bike Week for the weekend (to do all manner of carousing including watching Sumac ride a motorcycle at ludicrous speed.) Harnac is the only one who didn't level so this should give time for people to pick spells etc.
(Chris I'm in the same boat. Finding Tier 1-5 to play is REALLY hard now, and my character for Parts 1 and 2 is now level 9. I'm hoping that Season 5 has a fair amount of them.)

I've got all chronicles for the last session we did (Darkest Vengeance) scanned. Everyone PM me your email address, since I lost my contacts when I lost my job this week.
and S please give me Trex's address too.

+4 HP
+1 BAB
+1 Fort
+2 Rounds Bardic Performance
New Feat: Rhetorical Flourish
Skill Points (9):
Acrobatics
Bluff
Diplomacy
Disguise
Escape Artist
Intimidate
Know: Religion
Perform: Oratory
Stealth
New Spells:
Level 0
Daze
Lullaby
Level 1
Delusional Pride
Details:
Rhetorical Flourish
You rapidly change topics and employ confusing rhetoric to distract people from your true intent.
Prerequisite: Cha 13, Persuasive.
Benefit: When using the Diplomacy skill to make a request or change a creature’s attitude, you can use verbal misdirection. To do so, make a Bluff check against that creature. If you succeed, you gain a +4 bonus on your next Diplomacy check against that creature if the check is made within the next minute. If you fail by 5 or more, you instead take a –2 penalty on your next Diplomacy check against that creature.
Alternatively, you can use this feat to retry a single failed Diplomacy check against a creature. You take a –4 penalty on your Bluff check when using Rhetorical Flourish in this way. If you succeed, rather than gaining this feat’s normal bonus, you can retry your last Diplomacy check against the creature if that check was made in the past minute.
Daze
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (a pinch of wool or similar substance)
EFFECT
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one humanoid creature of 4 HD or less
Duration 1 round
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
DESCRIPTION
This spell clouds the mind of a humanoid creature with 4 or fewer Hit Dice so that it takes no actions. Humanoids of 5 or more HD are not affected. A dazed subject is not stunned, so attackers get no special advantage against it. After a creature has been dazed by this spell, it is immune to the effects of this spell for 1 minute.
Dazed Condition: The creature is unable to act normally. A dazed creature can take no actions, but has no penalty to AC.
Lullaby
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
EFFECT
Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area living creatures within a 10-ft.-radius burst
Duration concentration + 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
DESCRIPTION
Any creature within the area that fails a Will save becomes drowsy and inattentive, taking a -5 penalty on Perception checks and a -2 penalty on Will saves against sleep effects while the lullaby is in effect. Lullaby lasts for as long as the caster concentrates, plus up to 1 round per caster level thereafter.
Delusional Pride
CASTING
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
EFFECT
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one creature
Duration 1 minute
Saving Throw Will negates; Spell resistance yes
DESCRIPTION
The target becomes so distracted by an overblown sense of its worth that it takes a –2 penalty on attacks and skill checks. However, this feeling also gives the target a +2 morale bonus on saves against charm and compulsion effects.

Sorry to be slacking a bit. Have one more race today and wont be home till well past midnight. Ill have Sumac all properly leveled up Monday.
How many hps does Sumac get for being a druid?
For every class level besides the first character level, you get your class hit die plus one (so for a Druid that's 5), plus any modifiers (Con modifier, favored class, Toughness, etc.)

Help me out here: so you said class hit die plus 1, meaning 5 for a Doodad. But the class description for Doodad says d8. Why wouldn't it be 9, plus any modifiers?

Are we taking this weekend off from playing?

Dungeon Master S |

No, I'll still be playing. Yesterday happened to be my last school day of the normal year, and a crazy night in general.

![]() |

I got a CROSSBOW for Christmas that I somehow failed to try out until today. Dude! Crossbows are awesome!!! 1d10 damage lol
It knocks over the target every shot due to the force of the bolt. And the bolt penetrates the target completely, leaving about a foot of bolt sticking out the back, so I can't prop it up against my fence.
This is fun!!!

Lets go camping later this summer/early fall. Bring the crossbow.

Dungeon Master S |

YES! I got a pair of throwing axes that I couldn't try. The other guests at Reagh's wedding were too hippie-esque to find them entertaining.

Initiative re-repost: now with more Harnac!! (seriously, dude, how can I not think you're actively ignoring me now?!?!)
Come on, he's not ignoring you...as far as you know. ;-)

Dungeon Master S |

I had a great time as always guys. I'm looking at the timing for playing another one. Unfortunately I can't pull Part IV off as PbP. Gencon is too close, and Azdak and Harnac need to be available.
SO, that being the case, I'll pick up with some newer season stuff for this "party" after the Con. (Chris I have 2 low level characters I'm not bringing to Gencon if you need someone for another game.)
MEanwhile, post Day Jobs now and I'll fill them out after work today.

GenCon's a month off, so if you decide to try to turbo through on Part IV, I'm game for that. If not, no worries.
(Not that I'd ever advocate playing with a PC already involved in a PbP, of course...but frankly, who would know?)
Orryn's Day Job is taking care of Stellah.

Dungeon Master S |

Day Job Fel: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24

Dungeon Master S |

Day Job Azdak: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

Day Job Sumac: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
